stayed for a week. Nice place, clean room, hot shower, comfortable bed, great room service and restaurant. the staff were very friendly and worked to speak English to me. just of the highway, but it is tricky to get to as you have to double back on a roundabout...
This hotel was our overnight stop on the way back to England after our German Christmas market tour. I really enjoyed my stay here. On arrival we were asked what we would like for our evening meal which was quite a treat as all the other places we stayed at just had a set meal. We were all given a glass of a cider type drink as we went into the dining area. The staff were friendly and the meal was delicious and very well presented. Breakfast was ok but there wasn't as much on offer as at the other hotels we stayed at. No scrambled eggs or boiled eggs which was a bit of a disappointment. The rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.
Stayed here for business reasons. My experience is that its a good hotel with friendly staff. Big parking place to park your car. The bar and restaurant are also good for a beer and have a bite to eat. The room was spacious and even though it was somehow outdated I've slept excellent as the bed was excellent and it was quiet. Nice shower in the morning and after a good breakfast, back to the office. Thanks!
Clinical. Long brown corridors, large (smelly) room, comfortable bed. I was only here for the night and so I guess it served its purpose but it was very unwelcoming. And at €7.50 for 0.5l of draft beer it was very expensive (and had the most miserable barman I have met in a long time).
Our first stop on a Grand Tourer trip to Loire Dordogne and Provence.Beatiful twin bedded room.Tea and coffee making facilities. A bath and shower.Problems started when we went to dinner,as we were a coach party of 26 ,we were housed in a side conference room.Seated at large circular tables,(we had asked for a table for two).No choice for starter or dessert, chicken or lasagna for main. Both not very good!. Had a very good night's sleep. Breakfast was a cold buffet style.
Hotel was good - we were especially pleased to have a kettle - unusual in French hotels. Although we were a party of 47, there were no English Breakfast teabags in any of the rooms. At breakfast there were a few which rapidly disappeared. We had to virtually beg for more and they were very grudging. Drinks in bar were very expensive, and when I asked to sit at a table with 2 armchairs spare, the occupants said 'anglaise' and turned their backs. We fet very unwelcome.
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend . My experience was mixed. First lets deal with the positive points . The beds were very comfy and the room clean although the bath is very high to get in and out of, so something to consider if you are elderly . The food in the restaurant was good , I had the tuna and this was nicely cooked, not over done and the pudding was good . However the negative points are as follows: My friend and I ordered two brandy's. When we came to pay for the bill the two drinks alone had cost 52 euros and we had been served Hennesy XO . When we complained we were told this was the only brandy they served at the hotel. If that is the case and I doubt it then they should have explained this to us. We were eventually offered 1/2 a bottle of Chablis, which we didn't really want, but our other friend who sat at another table and who was charged the same was given nothing back . So beware . The waiters were also very rude and unpleasant, if you don't mind waiters slamming menus down and generally being rude then eat there, , although I have to say the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is generally quite expensive and a 1/2 bottle of house red wine cost us 11..50 euros . The breakfast was basic but ok. Overall I was left with a mixed impression of this hotel . It is also quite a way out of Lille as well and a taxi cost us 37 euros to get back from the centre .
We stayed here with Shearings Holidays and were treated differently to other guests, our room was dirty with hairs and stains on the sheets , filthy carpets and wallpaper hanging off the walls, our evening meal was simply not good enough and breakfast was abysmal would not stay here again.
This hotel is in an excellent location for Lille airport with a free shuttle service (which you will need to phone to arrange pickup from the airport - the number can be found at the information desk in the airport). Overall a clean and comfortable hotel which I would recommend if you need an overnight stay before / after a flight.
First impressions of this hotel were good. The room looked splendid, large, with two double beds, an armchair, tea and coffee etc. When we came to have a shower, which required climbing into the bath problems started. The bath had a high side which may have been easy for a youth but my wife and I are in our seventies and it was difficult. The evening meal was acceptable but the bar prices were appalling at 9€ for a glass of wine which costs less than 3€ a bottle in the supermarket. The breakfast was less than good, two cereals bread and jam, a little ham and cheese and a crousant. The coffee had seen better days. Compared to our previous day's breakfast at The Mercure, Lyon Est. it was abysmal for a hotel of this quality. I would not go again from choice.
