Could do better
I booked a double bed for my room but ended up with a twin room as the hotel overbooked itself and they said no matter what you book you get what you are given. I asked if I could have the room I paid for and I was told to push the two twin beds together. When I had to settle and push the beds together I discovered the carpet to be dirty revealing used packets of chewing gum and bits of debris.

It was only after checking out and reviewing my booking that I realised I was given a room that I had not booked. I specifically booked a double room and was given a twin. If I’d noticed that I had specially booked a double room when the booking was made a month ago I would have raised it at the hotel.
