Super 8 - White River Junction

We were in the White River Junction area for a night and decided to stay at the Super 8. We weren't expecting much, but we kept our reservation--even after a local resident warned us to check out other hotels in the area. When we arrived, the front desk employee was helpful and got us checked in without any problems. The first room we went to smelled like cigarette smoke and the bathroom was somewhat dirty. We went back to the front desk and requested another room. The employee was happy to accommodate this request, but was also not surprised that we asked (it sounded like this happens somewhat frequently, especially for smoke odors for this "non-smoking" hotel). The second room didn't smell as bad and the bathroom was a bit cleaner so we kept it. However, we were spraying Lysol around and checking the beds. There were hairs and a (non-bed bug) bug in one of the beds. There were also cobwebs on the ceiling and the room could have used some updates. The pillows were very high and firm, making it feel like you were propped up in bed all the time. Because we had already changed rooms once, we decided to keep this one (we also didn't know how much better the next room would be). The room was pretty quiet and the air conditioning unit worked. The toilet flushed and there were no leaks. The breakfast had some basic options, including yogurt, frozen waffles/toast, and cereal--no fruit or fancy waffle makers here, but coffee and hot water were in the lobby all day. Staff were helpful

We traveled from Florida to be by myother-in-laws side while she was taken off life support and was very happy we were allowed to check in early with no extra cost . The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet with plenty of parking. Thank you for making our stay a little easier.

It was close to Dartmouth-Hitchcock medical center rooms had a bad smell

Breakfast foes to 10 am, nice in case you get to sleep late!

Assigned a room we entered it with the dingy carpeting and very strong odor of cigarettes. In what was supposed to be a no smoking room. Our grandson. Went back to the office and we were given another room, again with dingy carpet but far less detectable cigarette odor, even if it had also been also smoked in, but it was late and we decided it had to be acceptable. Next issue we quickly found out was a stopped up ( very stopped up) toilet. The maintenance man came and. Alleviated the problem but left the plunger and said he hoped the sluggishness would be acceptable until he could get back the next dAy to. " snake" the line Overall, the motel was crummy. But the desk attendent and the maintenance man did try to help, but we will definitely steer away from this chain of motels

Room smelled like mold and smoke. Shady characters having around the parking lot and not enough spots for everyone to park.

Visiting family in the area and found this motel to be centrally located. Continental breakfast was convenient. Motel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable beds but the bedspread was stained so we just removed it. Sheets, mattress pad and mattress was spotless but blanket was very worn but clean. Great value for the price. I would definitely book again.

Excellent staff at the hotel and a convenient location for the whole area.

I was looking for a place to stay for a short trip. The bed was comfortable. The room, although older, was clean and had plenty of amenities. Breakfast was also reasonable.

It wasn't bad. Nothing fancy but we only needed it for sleep. Clean room. Bed was pretty comfy. Considering it was on a somewhat major road for that town it was fairly quiet. Trouble finding things to eat that were local and figuring out roads in the town were a bit tough but we got the hang of it quickly. Next time we come back to the area I would consider staying again.

This place was very dirty and gross! Rooms smelled and floors were not vaccumed. U wouldn't recommend this hotel to a homeless person ! I would of rathered to stay in the parking lot!

Highway work on road made it difficult to get to the hotel. The property is older with only outside room doors.

For last minute booking - it was efficient and worth the value. Meet my standards and very comfortable.

Stayed here to go to Killington. Within a reasonable distance, and got the job done. Room wasn't dirty, but was very old. Would stay again if no other options were available.

Just stayed overnight on a longer trip. Queechee State Park and Gorge were close by and beautiful. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Well worth it for the money.

The first room door was open, bathroom light on,used toilet paper in toilet. Sheets were messed up. Someone obviously had used the room garbage on the floor etc. Second room (and the whole place) very dirty.spiderwebs in all corners of the room. Wasn't expecting the Ritz but what a waste could have just slept in the car ..... Oh and the breakfast HAHAHAHA HOPE THEY ENJOY MY MONEY

It was a lot better of a room than you would think. Good bed and decent breakfast.

Staff was very friendly. Beautiful area. Breweries nearby.

I arrived for my two night stay to find that my bed had hairs on the pillow and there was a package of hot dogs outside my door (I have no idea why). Okay to stay on the cheap, excellent location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The doors are old and drafty and quite loud.

This hotel is quiet. When we stayed, it was pretty full and I expected some noise. However, I was pleasantly surprised as there wasn't any noise from other guests or traffic. The sound proofing must really be working as there wasn't any of the usual thumps and bumps from other rooms. I am a light sleeper and I did hear some guests pass by in the morning but they were extremely careful of making noise. The check in was quick and efficient and the check out was the same. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would have liked was one more hand towel. I would stay here again.
