Very pleasant staff in this hotel. Single rooms are great, location is perfect, just seconds from the back entrance (TGV) of the train station. Really nice place if you can get it at the right price.

Right next to train station but had no issues with sound. Easy walk to downtown and the lake. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly

The hotel is very well located, across from the train station. It is a bit quirky, but the food is good, the service is very personal, and the overall stay was a very comfortable experience,

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is so close to the train station which is why we booked it. We were only here one night. The hotel decor is unusual but fine. The bathroom in our to needed some serious updating, poor lighting, dirty tub tiles and ants in the shower. I didn’t even want to take a shower in there. The room served its purpose but I would not stay here again. While sleeping we felt itchy like something was on us. Didn’t see anything on the bed so not sure if it was more ants or just the sheets. Staff was nice and hotel looked cute from the outside. Interior needs updating

I booked this room more than a month ago, because Geneva was sold out due to some major conference in the city. I am used to staying in 5* hotels around the world, however such hotels were at a $1000+ at the time. This hotel had 1 room left, a single, their lowest category and thank God I booked it, because prices only went up and availability down thereafter. The service at the hotel was decent, food acceptable and room acceptable, in fact much more comfortable than I might have imagined. It was small and had a single bed, the room was a third the size of what I am used to staying in other major business cities, and only obviously only good for one person. The bed and bedding however was as good or even better, more comfortable than any I have stayed in, so I got good sleep. Room temperature was also comfortable and curtains blocked out the light. I was on the second floor and heard no external sounds. The room had a functional desk and internet was fast enough. The location of the hotel is excellent, lots of shops, cafes and fast food around, plus right next to the main train station. On average a 10-20 minute walk to anywhere in Geneva my business/social needs took me. The photos on their website give an accurate impression. Under similar circumstances or if I wanted to be on low budget (this time I paid more than double the normal rate, but otherwise its very reasonable), I would definitely stay here again.

The kindest and sweetest hotel crew I've ever met!

overall good hotel, next to train station, so easy shopping options

Amazing experience, staff are friendly and so kind. Very clean and close to attractions.

Situated right next to the train station, with a very good restaurant. Within walking distance of several others, and close to bus lines. No noise problems at night, although morning traffic will bother late sleepers. The room was clean, large and had a small kitchen and sitting areas.

This hotel couldn't be easier to get to and to travel to other parts of Geneva from. Very central. The rooms are nothing fancy but very clean and not bad as far as space in Geneva goes. I've stayed here twice - once in a basic double and once in a kitchenette unit. Both were adequate although the refrigerator in the kitchenette unit was disappointingly small for a long stay. Staff is helpful and the air conditioning works well.

As we had a rental car, at first we didn't realize where the parking lot was (because its signage said nothing about the hotel -- seems like an easy fix). After wasting a little time on that, everything else went quite well. The hotel is RIGHT at the train station and numerous bus lines, which was incredibly convenient. It has a fun, eclectic feel to it. The room itself must have been a studio apartment before, because it had a kitchenette, which I wasn't expecting. Staff were quite pleasant and helpful and the breakfast buffet was nice.

I had an extended stay in Geneva (11 nights total). Bed was very comfortable, WIFI was good and complementary as well as the beverages in the minibar. There is a kettle and coffee and tea also complementary. The two rooms I stayed in were small but comfortable. The rooms had great lighting something that is important for me as well as fantastic air conditioning (it really was hot outside). The only downside was the shower that was a little small for me. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a very convenient location right outside the main train station in Geneva. It's a 10-min walk from Lake Geneva, a 20-min walk from the U.N., and a 20-min tram ride from Cern. I would recommend requesting a room on the top floor (5th floor if I recall correctly), as lower rooms seem to hear each other relatively easily. The hotel restaurant serves great meals and the rooms are quaint. The bathroom on the other hand is just 'blah' for the money spent, and they could invest in sprucing those up a lot. Overall, very good hotel for your money.

Not Swiss perfection, but the location is very convenient (next to the train station) and the hotel is a good budget option. My room was freezing cold without the heating on at night, ONE pillow on the double bed (why??), no power outlets near the desk or the nightstands, only far across the room (again, why??). Internet password has a set amount of traffic and ran out after one day. Business center is an old laptop with a non-functioning printer. The balcony door was broken and could have been opened from outside, sloppy from a security perspective. So, the details are not great. But it was comfortable enough for a quick business trip.

I almost wanted to check my reservation amount ...in fact I think I did. What a charming, lovely, old hotel. The staff was SO helpful. We arrived from our overnight flight at 9 am expecting to just stash our luggage but praying for a clean room to take a nap! It was ready inn "20" minutes. Awesome. We took breakfast at the charming restaurant. Prepare to pay ALOT for everything in geneva, and this meal was no different. Very high price but we sucked it up and before you know it we were sound asleep in our comfy room. It is AT the train station but very quiet. Basic amenities. But clean, well thought out design. Would most definetly stay again and highly recommend.

I had a very good experience with Hotel Montbrillant. The location, right next to the train station and all the central tram and bus stops, cannot be beat. I bought a prepaid, but cancellable, 4-day stay through that proved to be a great bargain. The hotel provides free, and excellent bandwidth, WiFi to guests. Geneva policy apparently provides free public transportation tickets for hotel guests, so consider the value of these when making cost estimates. I was given a room that was not accessible from the main door of the hotel. Instead you had to go outside and enter from the back. The room overlooked the train station and I thought it would be noisy, but I had no problem at all with noise; excellent sound insulation. The room I was given was quite large by European standards, and even had a table and chairs, refrigerator, some kitchenware and a cooking surface. Lots of food available in and around the station for take away, so eating a few meals in the room saved me a lot of money. Accessing the excellent hotel restaurants was no problem either since they are right outside the building door. Staff were very helpful. I believe this will be my regular hotel for trips to Geneva.

I was in Geneva on business during a very busy period and got priced out of the nicer hotel I stayed in for the rest of the week. Montbrilliant is literally next to the train station and on a busy road so it is noisy and busy (my room overlooked the street). Hallways are a bit dark. The rooms were small and a bit musty smelling. It has been a while since I slept in a twin bed in a hotel room- though it was comfortable! The upside is that the B-fast is really very good. The hotel is fine for a night or two provided you are a heavy sleeper.
