Stayed in tower 3 over the weekend for a quick trip. I booked this room last minute because the rate Orbitz was offering. What I didn't pay attention to is that the room is "owned" by someone. Had a bad check-in because of this. When we arrived tired with our kids I was hoping for a pleasant arrival. All was good until we checked-in with David. He didn't seem like he was in a good mood. We arrived at noon and he told us check-in for our room isn't until after 3 because we booked thru a different party? You'll have to speak with them. (Huh?) Who is them? (Why can't you help us??) He said, the owners. I said I booked it thru Orbitz that's weird I wasn't told I'd have to speak with the owners?? He said he would make a phone call to see if we can check-in early. He called, it was approved. 2nd floor. Hubby was unhappy because he wanted to request a higher floor. At this point I felt we were inconveniencing David so we took the key & left. Tower 3 is beautiful clean & modern looking. We get to our room & find some surprises, housecleaning has a fee, asking for clean towels has a fee, the tv wasn't working and we had to call to get someone to get it to work. At this point we didn't know who to call lol I was worried David would answer down at front and tell me I had to call the owner again...so no one showed up to fix the tv and we left. We figured someone would come while we went to eat and they did. There was also NO hangers. Never called about that. Stay if its not owned.

I've stayed at the Signature a couple of times prior and have friends who stay there regularly - all good experiences. This particular room was on the 2nd floor . . . and there are no interior stairs. The room was dirty in comparison to the other rooms I've stayed in - carpet was filthy, table tops were dirty (had just been wiped with a dry towel), the walls had splashes of coffee and who knows what on them, the mirrors were not clean, etc. The dishes were minimal (we had a chipped coffee cup and a wine glass broke in our hand). The phone by the remote was not working when we got there - they did come up an put in a new battery. The phone by the bed did not work nor did one of the two outlets in the bathroom (we even checked the breaker). The towels were scratchy . . . just not what you'd expect for the price. My suggestion, book through the hotel direct.

great hotel to stay in . . . except this room.
