The accomodation was very clean and nice, the people are very friendly and kind. The location is great. The service is also very good, pay attention to everything and everyone. The pool is nice. The rooms are comfortable, and beautiful views.
We were met by Petros who was really friendly. We were in apartment 6 which was a disabled facilites room on the ground floor close to reception area. Spaceous apartment with kitchen and living room area with a balcony area overlooking the pool and play area. The pool area was really nice with lots of comfy sunbeds with shaded area if you want shade. Everything about the apartment was clean and well maintained. The only downside was the location it was quite run down area around the hotel. Additionally it was very quiet in the hotel at night and felt like an off peak time weven though it was June! There was no atmosphere in the hotel of an evening and no other guests around only a couple of staff members. This didn't bother us at all as we went out every night into Larnaca which was a ten minute bus ride at 1.50 Euros per person, where there was lots of bars, restaurants and a promenade. The bus is number 424 or 425. Also a bus from the opposite side of the road to Ayia Napa number 711 which we used for a day trip. The pick up and drop off was outside the Princess Hotel. Although the staff in the Lucky were really helpful and can advise on getting around on local transport if you don't have a car. It is the perfect location to have a car - which most people at the hotel seemed to have. We paid £221 for 9 nights for the two of us - an absolute bargain and would recommend for a cheap and cheerful relaxing break in the sun!
This was our second visit to Lucky and we enjoyed our stay yet again. We were blown away with the refurbishment of the reception and bar area, its so fresh and airy.We bought lunch most day's and its still good value and good quality.Everyone at the Lucky are very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. We will not hesitate to return.
me and my partner have just returned from a 10 night stay at Lucky Hotel. The rooms had a basic clean everyday, but sheets and towels changed every four days. Breakfast was also basic. However it was not until the 5th or 6th day that they brought out some fruit. One day we had some pastries. There was he usual choice of two cereals, toast some cold meats. We pretty much lived off toast and fruit for breakfast. The crockery was matching. They just had random mugs to use which I preferred as I could have a proper mug of tea. We didn't really stay around the pool area as we thought the pool itself looked quite dirty, we had hired a car so we went off to the main beach in Larnaca and took a drive to Ayia Napa, and Protaras which had lovely beaches. The hotel itself was very quiet, and we seemed to be the only English people there, Not that it bothered us as we were out and about most days. Wifi was available in rooms, it cut out occasionally, but we would just reconnect and it would work again. Not a massive problem for us. We probably wouldn't stay here again, only reason being we would want somewhere that has more going on, with some atmosphere to it. It was value for money, and a pleasant stay.
Just returned from a 2 x week stay at this hotel and would not recommend it at all. Sheets and towels changed every 4 days and were threadbare and of very poor quality, as were the plates and cutlery all different designs and sizes. Car rental recommended as there is not much to do in the immediate area and the bus into Larnaca town takes around 15 minutes 3 euros return. Ayanapa around 30 minutes 8 euro return but the beaches are much better and worth the trip. Pool area nice but the house keeping and the poor quality bedding and towels really lets it down
cheap, clean functional. But... Front desk staff need to smile and be welcoming, you really felt you were asking for a favour not them doing their job. Cleaners complete opposite big hello in morning. Wifi advertised but doesn't really work in the room. Fire exit, when opened was blocked with shopping trolley and building materials. If your staying here you need a car. Just a bit too far out of town. No nice restaurants walking distance. Beaches close by very dirty, much nicer beaches in Cyprus.
I stayed here for 2 nights in May and was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the friendly staff and the value for money. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and sea. The room was very comfortable with a decent sized bedroom, large living room/kitchenette and a modern bathroom with a good shower. I was staying partly on business and partly to relax for a couple of days & I found this hotel ideal. I was travelling on my own and felt very comfortable and at home at this hotel. I enjoyed relaxing by the swimming pool and going out to one of the local restaurants nearby to eat. The hotel and area was quiet when I was there but just what I needed for a relaxing couple of days. All the staff I met at the hotel were really friendly and customer focused and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. A great find!!
We've had family stay here twice visiting us, last October and this may. They are always friendly here, good bar & not too expensive. Recently refurbished, clean & good pool area. Food menu is available lunch & dinner and a basic continental breakfast is also available for €6 per day. Rooms are apartment style and have balconies, comfortable beds & a small kitchenette with hob, microwave, fridge and dining area. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance & bus route into Larnaca is 3 minute walk away.
Great big rooms with pool and sea view, we enjoyed! The apartments are very spacious and light, bus stop is very close, however during 5 days of our stay bus drivers had strikes, so we had to take a taxi to the city (8-10 euro), so if you have a driver license renting a car would be a great choice. The hotel it self is clean and nice, I recommend.
We were two people staying at the hotel. It lies hidden in a cozy calm area. We were immediately welcomed by the very friendly manager and received much help and and travel information. The rooms were light, clean, nicely furnished and decorated, well equipped, with comfortable furniture and contained all that one needed in an apartment, including AC and free Wifi. Our apartment had an ocean view. The lobby was large, nice and one could go straight ut to the garden, that contains a swimming pool, beautiful sitting/dining area, shower, bathrooms, lots of fruit trees and a playing area for the children. It is sometimes used for weddings and parties. The bus stop was close and it was easy to get to the city centre. In the evening the manager was still around asking how the day was and if we needed anything. The place quickly felt like home. I will definitely go there again when I visit Cyprus next time! /Jessica
