We came here because the VIK hotel in Puerto del Carmen had overbooked. There are only 14 rooms around a pool and courtyard. The rooms are well appointed and spacious with all facilities. The restaurant served good food at both breakfast and dinner. The wine list includes a choice of Lanzarote wines and the staff know their products
We stayed here as our base for a walking holiday in Lanzarote and it’s a lovely, lovely hotel to come back to after a day exploring the natural beauty of the island. We had a superior room on the first floor and a large balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. It was bliss to sit there in the sunshine and read a book. Our room was large and very comfortable with everything you’d need - a good bathroom, minibar and very comfy bed. It’s a very quiet hotel indeed and beautiful in all its public spaces. We enjoyed going for an aperitif before dinner and choosing from the extensive drinks menu. Particularly liked the Negroni! The food was excellent we thought. There’s a choice on all 3 courses for the meat and fish eaters and as vegetarians we got a daily menu which was fantastic. Really imaginative veggie dishes which were very flavourful and filling - we were impressed. Breakfast is a plentiful buffet and you can also order cooked items from the kitchen. The staff were friendly and efficient and the whole place spotlesslessly clean. Altogether an incredibly relaxing and lovely experience.
We stayed here for a night when our flight home was delayed for 47 hours for bad weather. We booked the room at 11pm on booking.com after we realised our flight wasn’t going and we followed the booking up with a quick phone call. The hotel very kindly kept reception open for us even though we didn’t arrive until midnight due to a huge queue at the airport for a taxi. We were very grateful and thankful for this!!! The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area looked lovely. The hotel was in a quiet area in Arrecife. We had breakfast the next day included with the room.
Small boutique hotel offering a good but limited restaurant. Ideally situated for the airport and Aricife. Swimming pool and hot tub . Friendly and efficient staff. Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms with large balconies or sitting out areas.
First class hotel, great room, great service from friendly staff, perfectly quiet location, 15 minutes walk to Arrecife, and 35 minutes to Playa Honda along a well looked after promenade. relaxing well being massage facility.
This wonderful little Villa style Hotel only a 20min walk to Arrecife is truly amazing, from arrival there was something in the air that made this a special place, our room with its own patio overlooked the pool, which was large with a walk in wardrobe and a spacious bathroom and immaculately serviced by Blanca one of the housekeeping staff. The food was very good and the breakfast was buffet style for pastries etc but a cooked breakfast was available to order. A big thank you to Stefan, Hiro, Gianluca, Belfa and Danelly for making our stay really special, and although the weather let us down the welcome, hospitality and warmth from the staff made up for it!!!!. We will be returning when it's little warmer. Highly recommended
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Villa Vik for a week in December. It is a little piece of paradise, lovely and quiet with wonderfully attentive staff. One thing to note is the pool is advertised as heated but it is not. We did a tour of a vineyard, the submarine trip and the sunset and dolphins trip where we did get to see some dolphins which was fab. All the trips were good fun. I also had a massage in the hotel which was really good. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel. Hopefully we will be back next year.
We travelled here for five days, had a junior suite, transfers and flights for six days, £464 total cost, it was out of this world! The hotel is beautiful, the food amazing, service is second to none from all staff, views amazing, nice shops and bars and marina ten mins walk away, beach next door, if this offer came up again we would take it without a doubt, 32 degrees in November, nothing we could fault about the hotel, only 5/6 mins transfer from the airport. Just fantastic!!
My wife and I stayed at the Villa Vik for nine nights half board at the beginning of October and each day and evening was a delight. The property bears no resemblance to the stereotype sunshine hotel being in the middle of a development of lavish private villas between the airport and Arrecife. If you want a completely relaxing holiday with a pool which for much of the time is empty, plenty of sun loungers and varied three course fine dining, this is the place for you.We hired a car for four days to explore the island and the rest of the time chilled out. A friendly and accommodating staff quietly add to the ambiance but if you want late nights and hi-jinks this is NOT the place for you. Be warned: if you like to have a stroll for a mid-morning coffee(like us) the nearest caffeine outlets are in Arrecife, 20 minutes one way or Playa Honda 35 minutes in the other direction. Each is reached along a super sea-front promenade with great views. With knock-out weather we couldn't have asked for more and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
Villa Vik is situated only a few minutes drive from the airport. It is an oasis of rest. It is a small boutique hotel. In the area of Villa Vik there is nothing to do at all. So unless you want to stay at your hotel your whole holiday for relaxing ( which is no punishment) you need transport ( rental car) to get somewhere. You can walk along the ‘ boulevard’ to playa Honda or Arrecife, but it takes you 30 min ( 1 way) and there is not much too see on the way there. ( also don’t expect too much when you get at these 2 places..)The hotel also offers free bikes, which can be a good option to move around. The hotel has 2 floors. It has private parking, a small reception, bar / lounge area, restaurant and garden with swimming pool and big hot tub. Overall it is very clean everywhere. The rooms are decorated a bit old fashioned, but fine, with good bed, safe, big bathroom, and minibar. Also every room has a nice terras/ or balcony. It is cleaned twice a day. The swimming pool and garden area look very nice. There are numerous ‘ private ‘ spots where sun beds are. 1 thing I would recommend is to get new cushions since they are too thin, everybody was using 2 , myself ( with a bad back) even 3. And some of them did not look very well any more. The restaurant has ‘indoor’ and outdoor tables. Another recommendation : move the couches from this area to the area on the right of the swimming pool, as everybody wants to sit at the outdoor tables, so you can put more tables over there. Breakfast was ok, but quite standard. Very nice you could order eggs the way you want them, but the buffet was missing some creativity in my opinion. For lunch you can order salads or sandwiches. Ok, but not 4/5 star quality. For diner you can choose from 2 to 4 options for starter/ main and dessert. Quality very nice. French kitchen. A bit disappointing was the fact that in 7 days we never had any typical Spanish food...( why no tapas or bbq night?) Also the pace of serving the dishes was very quick. I was there alone, so for me it was no problem, but other people complained about this. The staff was friendly, but please send 2 of your waiters to an English course, because at the beginning it is charming, but in the end it can be annoying. Big complements for the cleaning and garden staff. Overall I had a very nice/ comfortable stay!
