Booked online last minute- flight got cancelled at 00:14am booked it at 00:30, I rang to confirm the booking and to ensure some one will be there when we arrived as it mentions in the email. arrived at hotel at 02:00am. We wasn't the only ones to book the hotel, the poor blokes on reception were very busy but checked us in and gave us cards and pointed us in the direction of our rooms. Once we got to the front door we realised we needed keys. Back down to collect the keys and into the apartment! It was a lovely one bedroom self catering apartment that was perfect for our stressful night. Bed was the most comfortable bed I had slept in for last ten nights (other hotel was not great beds). We had a double sofa bed too so must sleep four to each apartment. It looked as though it has everything you need for self catering. Each has a balcony with tables chairs and. Two sun beds. The bathroom was very nice, clean and updated and the shower was great (again last hotel shower was awful). In the morning we noticed that we over looked the pools, we didn't get to try them out but two pools and a jacuzzi. We went for a walk to the shopping mall which took about twenty mins along the beach. Check out was 10am but the lovely receptionist let us keep our room till about 1040ish she was very reasonable as she had heard what had happened the night before. They booked our taxis for the airport to. The only let down was that we heard some other families booked the hotel and the system could not of updated quick enough as when they arrived there was no rooms left after our terrible experience at the airport this was last thing any of us wanted.

Just returned from another great week in Club Del Carmen. Stayed several times over the years and the quality of the resort just keeps improving. The grounds are immaculate and the accommodations well equipped. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. It's maybe a 20 minutes walk into Del Carmen itself. Or equally you can stroll along the front to Matagorda.

Stayed here as a family of 4 in a one bed apartment. There is a large sofa bed in the living area which was comfortable although once opened as a bed there was too much furniture in the living room/kitchen to move ! There is a table with 4 chairs , a large coffee table & really cramped with furniture for 4 people. Out on the veranda there was a table with 4 more chairs & 2 sun loungers& also a clothes line. The apartment was very well equipped however there was no hand soap in the bathroom which Is a necessity. The apartment was very clean & modern & as we had requested a ground floor apartment we were happy when we got an apartment right next to the pool & bailys bar/restaurant. The large pool is heated & there's a kids pool & jacuzzi also. My kids loved the large pool which is supervised by a lifeguard daily. Usual complaint everyone booking beds early in the morning but not showing up until it suited them but it was quiet so we got beds every day. The bar/restaurant is expensive for drinks & snacks but they do a good breakfast for €2.50. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly especially towards my youngest child. Entertainment at night was really poor, usually consisted of a singer in the bar from 7.30-9.30pm (ish).. thought there would be more entertainment to suit families but there wasn't . My only strong complaint would be the cost of the internet - €5.95 per day & only 2 devices may connect ! This price is ridiculous in this day & age needless to say we didn't purchase it when other bars/restaurants provided same for free. The supermarket on the corner has fresh bread & everything one would need for their stay. Further up the strip there's a spar supermarket for more choice. The beach is across the street , water very deep so didn't go there with the kids. The main strip is 10/15 min walk but not too far, the old town is a longer walk but nice to stroll there in the evening . Taxis are really cheap too. Overall, we did enjoy our stay , we were glad we were away from the hustle & bustle of nightlife as we had 2 kids but it's central enough for those who want a bit of both. Would stay here again if we return to peurto del carmen.

I booked a last minute holiday with 4 friends via Expedia to Lanzarote, staying at Club Del Carmen by Diamond Resorts. We had a great 'villa' which had two bedrooms (one room twin bed and one room double bed) plus a sofa bed upstairs-exactly what we needed. The villa also had two bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. Check-in was very efficient and all extras were added to a tab to pay to the end (24 hour reception). The hotel complex has a large pool with a jacuzzi and a child's shallow pool separate. There are plenty of sunbeds, a pool table and a table tennis table. There are also daily activities if you're into that kind of thing. We wanted a chilled out girly holiday with somewhere to cook for ourselves but also easy access to bars and restaurants. A small convenience store was a minutes walk, on the street corner, and a spar supermarket was a 10 minute walk away. 15 minutes walk the other way is the 'strip' with plenty of bars and restaurants. If you walk a bit further (30ish minutes) you get to the 'Old Town' which is slightly more Spanish-we really enjoyed Heineken as a local bar! The beach is 200m walk from the pool, although a little windy, and the sea was lovely and warm. All in all, a very good holiday, would definitely recommend staying at Club Del Carmen. I was also impressed by the booking via Expedia and the transfer they arranged for (viajes urbis)

We stayed in CDC 3rd-10th June. Had requested lower ground floor apartment when booking (with Agoda) but was given 3rd floor apartment on arrival. As we have a 2 year old, in hindsight, this was probably better as the lower floor apartments led straight out to the pool and he tended to dash out the door at any opportunity! However, be aware that you have 2 very tough flights of outdoor stairs to trek with your pushchair and luggage, if given a room on the 3rd floor. Alot of these apartments are timeshare; there is a mix of older folks, famlies and younger groups. On our first morning, I witnessed from our balcony many of the older people reserving sun-loungers with their towels and leaving them there most of the day unoccupied - nothing was done about this by staff. As the week went on, the place got alot quieter so this wasn't a problem. The apartment (1 bedroom) was very small. Kitchen and bathroom could do with re-furbishment. Shower was very poor with little pressure. Internet is charged per day and expensive. Bar (Baileys) was twice the price, for drinks and snacks, of any other outside of the complex. Wouldn't advise ordering the breakfast hamper - at €20 it was a rip-off and we were given a can of hot-dogs instead of sausages. Supermarket is 10 mins away, Spar, and 2 smaller ones just outside the building have all you need for your stay. Pools were fine. Kids pool was adequate, not heated but didn't need to be. Big pool and jacuzzi were heated and were ok. Lifeguards were both helpful and unhelpful, depending on which was working. One with a moustache was much friendlier, the other started gathering and stacking up sunloungers around us most days by 5 oclock which was a little disruptive. Location is perfect if your not looking for all the action and noise of the strip. Big beautiful beach is right across the road. Playground is just off the beach and perfect for mornings or afternoons with the kids. Not alot for kids to do at the complex apart from the pool. Staff on the most part were friendly and very nice to the kids. Would we return? Probably not. It might tick other peoples boxes, but there won't be a return visit from us when there were nicer resorts to explore in the surrounding area.

Needed a hotel which was accessible for my daughter. We couldn't of asked for anything more at Club Del Carmen. The room is tucked in the corner and gets sunshine from approx 9.00am - 6.00pm ( we stayed 1st week in June ) There was 2 electric beds in 1 room 2 single beds in the other, both rooms were of very good size with loads of storage in the wardrobes. Bathroom was a wet room with a more than powerful shower and enough hot water for us all to have a shower morn and night ( 5 of us ) It was big enough to take the wheelchair in and the sink had a space underneath so you can push a wheelchair under if the user needed it. The TV had English channels and each room had a TV ... each room also had Air Con. The windows slid open and had mesh over so had every option to stay cool. The kitchen even had a dishwasher. There was also a pull out bed in the living area with an extremely comfortable matteress . Loads of sockets all around the room with USB charging points in one of the rooms ( i never looked in the others ) The pool was actually really heated and the jaquzzi was like having a warm bath there was also a very shallow pool for the little ones. There is also an pool seat to help get in and out for the infirm. Lifeguard is more than helpful Towels are provided per person and they were happy to change ours when needed Table and 4 chairs on the patio and also 2 sunbeds. The patio is only small but you are right near the pool so you could lay on a sunbed there if need be which there are plenty of. Reception staff are more than helpful i would recommend getting water delivered a great big ( i think its 10 litres ) for 3.60 euros Baily Bar staff are outstanding the food is lovely and plentiful and they have a happy hour on selected drinks and cocktails approx 5.00pm ( just wait for the bell to ring ) The hotel is directly over the road from a beautiful beach with a shop around the corner

Club del Carmen was our choice for a quick 2 night anniversary trip to Lanzarote. The apartment was very clean, nicely furnished, and the staff was very nice! It is a quick walk to many restaurants and shops.

Due to a very last minute change we booked the club Del carmen whilst sitting in the lobby of the Sol Lanzarote, ten minutes later we were standing in reception checking in. The member of staff who checked us in was a true star, very customer focussed, friendly and went over and above to make us feel welcome and explained in great detail the facilities of the resort and apartment. We were allocated a terraced apartment ( F1 ) it was a large, spacious apartment spotlessly clean and fully equipped. It had everything from a super comfortable sofa bed, full sized fridge freezer, dish washer fully equips kitchen. Living area had a TV with English TV, coffee table, several types of lighting. The bedroom had twin beds, TV, large double wardrobe housing a safe. The bathroom was large with a huge walk in shower. The apartment had wifi at an additional cost and very reasonable as was the safe hire. The terrace looked onto the large pool area and close to the restaurant and bar the terrace had two sun loungers and a table and four chairs. We were only there mon to fri and room only we paid £250, I kid you not £250 we also hired the safe, wifi for four devices and a large ten litre bottle of water which was delivered and set up in our kitchen. There was tea, coffee inc filter coffee a litre of water and milk along with dishwasher tablets, fresh cleaning clothes, toiletries etc. We loved the Club Del Carmen, it was, if not one of the best places we have stayed. We were very nearly put off by the three star status but we are so glad we weren't, it was far superior to the five star hotel that we stayed in in Tenerife. We will be back, we love Lanzarote, love Puerto Del Carmen and we loved this hotel. Highly recommended and the staff are wonderful.

I just love it here. Such a well kept resort. The staff really are fabulous here.....they feel like family and, as they do every year, celebrated Canarian Day with the guests by putting on a display which included artefacts from long ago, yummy food, wine and of course, traditional music. Well done to everyone involved in setting this up. Baily Bar is the name of the on site restaurant and I ate here most nights. I opted to go Half Board which gives you breakfast and 2 course lunch or dinner for €20pp. I felt it was good value for money - cooked breakfast every morning and good choice of menu for the evening meals - what's not to like about that? The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good and there's entertainment on most evenings - so what are you waiting for? Can't wait to return.

Stayed for a week this time and really enjoyed it. I am hoping they upgrade all apartments by next year as they really are nice once done The customer service at these apartments is brilliant. All staff very helpful and I would particularly like to mention ALL the staff at restaurant Bailey Bar - Gary, majid, etc The food at Baily Bar has significantly improved since last year. The breakfast at €2.50 is ridiculously good value with quality ingredients. We have also tried the pizza, various tapas, steak & chicken - all really good! They also have entertainment on nightly for those who would like to stay local Welcome yearly for Ironman Lanzarote & will be doing the same again next year Now for a bit on the apartments: 1 bed & 2bed apartments are spacious, large living area though I personally feel 4 in a 1 bed might be tight, kids would be fine 2bed villas are spacious, bedrooms on ground floor with bathroom, very very generous living space upstairs & additional bathroom. Really recommend these for families Balcony / terrace - all have room for a couple of loungers & a table for 4. There is no need to request as all spacious Equipment - all come with adequate cooking utensils etc. Decent ish hairdryer in bathroom, plenty of sockets etc. The bedrooms have USB sockets About 5 English channels on TV Pool - disability accessible, small children's pool and (powerful) jacuzzi Sun loungers with padding, lifeguard always on duty, plenty of space. You still get your sun bed hoggers reserving a bed with towel then not being on them all day but if you mention to staff they remove the towels Location - 5/10 mins walk from the main area, 30mins walk from old town & harbour Taxi was about €25 from airport
