Myself and my friend stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute! From the moment we stepped out of our taxi transfer we got the wow factor!! We were checked in very efficiently by the friendly receptionist and shown to our room by the lovely porter! We stayed in a poolside one bed apartment and it was gorgeous - newly refurbished, clean and trendy! Nice touches were the complimentary ground coffee sachets, toiletries, water, and milk! A lovely flat screen tv - showing English channels and good hairdryer helped make it home from home!! The pool area is beautiful - with comfy sunbeds, jacuzzi and lovely warm water in the swimming pool! Baileys bar is on-site and well worth a visit - well priced with lovely food and nice entertainment & staff! All this - and in a great location to explore all Puerto del Carmen has to offer - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

This accommodation was the best I have ever seen. Split over two floors. The ground floor bedroom 1 in spacious and has a TV in the room and sleeps 2 . Bedroom 2 sleeps 2 and a bathroom with shower, toilet, wash basin. Shower gel in a dispenser on the wall and complimentary toiletries. The 2nd floor comprises spacious lounge with TV and bed/settee easily could sleep a further 2 people.and a 2nd shower room, toilet and wash basin. Kitchen has a new halogen ring cooker, oven, microwave, dish washer, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee percolator, toaster and a multitude of cooking utensils for any one who wished to cook in the accommodation.. This villa had recently been refurbished to a very high specification the fittings are fabulous. Very close to shops and restaurants although Baily's Bar and Restaurant on the site serve delicious food and Ghali the Bar Manager is an absolute scream and should audition for x factor as he has definitely missed his vocation serving in the restaurant.Lovely staff and will definitely be going there again.

Just returned from here and have to say it’s the most relaxing holiday we’ve had in years. There is work going on to improve the rooms but it didn’t really interfere with our holiday, it’s nice to see improvements being done!! The rooms are clean and well planned out. Lovely area with the beach across the road and a nice stroll to shops and restaurant. Not leaving it six years until the next visit!!!!

This a nice but quiet hotel. Right next to the beach with views of the sea from most rooms and overlooking the pool. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are recently refurbished so all very clean and well presented. Everything you could want in your room included such as shower gel and other toiletries and washing up liquid and dish cloths etc made life easy for self catering. Nice bar on site which does good food. Short walk to all the bars and restaurants mean that people go out mostly so quiet but some entertainers sing in the evening. Nice for families with young children, not so much teenagers as no inflatables allowed in pool. Atmosphere is intended to be calm and relaxing. We loved it and would recommend.

Great resturant came with my husband &brother /sister in law lovely resturant the food was 100% staff very friendly could not do enough to make our time there very enjoyable great entertainment we will be back next year think you loraine Yuen Andrew Judith see you next year

Club Del Carmen is a home away from home with added luxuries such as the pool, jacuzzi and guest taster experiences during your stay. Things like paella cooking demo, Garlic prawns demo with free wine and a cheese and wine taster day all add to your stay. The apartments have everything you could want, well equipped comfortable and spotlessly clean. Also the beds are so comfortable you never want to get up! All of the apartments and villas are being refurbished with the last 24 being done now so it is a bit messy and noisy but we just got used to it and if necessary put on music head phones for a break. They did offer transport to take you to their other location in Lanzarote to use the facilities there but we didn't make use of this.

This is owned by a timeshare company 'Diamond Resorts' so there is a mix of timeshare owners and those like us, who bought their hotel through a website. We were upgraded to a villa which was like a townhouse with two large rooms on the ground floor and a good size livingroom with eat in kitchen upstairs. The balcony was good sized and had a partial (side) view of the ocean. It was a great place to hang out in the evenings. We had a remodelled room and it reminded me of an ikea catalogue. Because we went at the end of summer (mid-sept) it was primarily older people but a few families had checked in as we were leaving. They are doing construction which would be annoying and loud if you are in the room during the day and in the main block of flats. Location is great with easy access to a few grocery stores and along the main bus routes. They are also happy to organize tours for you if that is your thing and we were warned about 'how expensivie taxis would be' etc... but we prefered to just pay for a taxi to drive us around instead of tours. It was about 75E to go to Timanfaya including wait time while we rode the camels and went on the bus tour at the top, we also went to el grecio and another bodega (winery) accross the rode while the taxi waited. I could see this being really good value for 3+ adults or those like us who don't want to go on a big group trip at a cost of 35E+ per person. Housekeeping is only done after the 4th night and then every 3 nights after so we didn't have housekeeping while we were there. Downsides: Food was poor, we ended up with unhappy tummys after eating their both times, it is important to know the resturant around the corner is actually the same as the one inside the hotel and we got a bit of unhappy tummys from both. There are much better resturants within a 10-15min walk. I did leave my cellphone charger in the kitchen and when we went back to collect our bags the front desk (who tried to be helpful) told me the housekeepers didn't turn anything in and even went to check in the villa but said it wasn't there- I guess it magically disappeared. Check-out time is SUPER early at 10am and they charge 10E an hour until 12pm. They do not allow you to stay any later than 12pm so really there is no option for a traditional 'late checkout', although they do provide shower/changing facilities downstairs if you want to freshen up before your flight. Overall- I would stay here again but know that it is a bit away from the 'main' bit of Puerto del Carmen and the food is poor.

Visited 1-5th September, 2017 as a diamond member. Booked 2 one bed apartments for a family of 4. The lower ground apartment allocated to my daughter had very bad smell and massive rip in bedroom curtain. She was moved to 2C which was refurbished and okay. Unfortunately my apartment was very dated, number 2I, crack in floor tile in bathroom, some mould on wall, deep hole in enamel in bath and cigarette stains as well. I was with my 16th year old son who used sofabed. When you remove large cushions and other 2 sections and open out it swamps room leaving very little space to move. What makes it more difficult is the large bulky circular table in kitchen area. A simple breakfast bar to divide area would have been better. Do not know how 4 people manage in this apartment. Someone from maintenance came to look at bathroom but felt okay, this I do not accept. I had difficulty bathing but was told there was no alternative accommodation. There was also a crack along living room ceiling. It appears this apartment was marked for refurbishment the day of our departure, however as a long standing member I am wondering if the wholesale use of the Diamond brand is now having an impact on quality? I think we need to open our eyes,. if you have not invested and get a good holiday deal you simply detach yourself and dwell on the funtimes. Baily bar needs some kind of updating as seemed rather quiet in the evenings. Breakfast not expensive but a shame cannot offer brown bread. We hired a car so visited other beaches and eating places along strip. Staff helpful, however I did not feel at home at Club Del Carmen and for that reason will not be returning.

Returned from our stay here last week. Our apartment was a bit tired which was disappointing as a DRI member but spotlessly clean. Situated right on the beautiful clean (& too big to be busy) beach and a nice walk into the centre where there are plentiful restaurants and bars. Can highly recommend the on site restaurant/pool bar - good value for money, nice food and friendly staff. Entertainment at the apartments is good - something for everyone but not in your face, we particularly liked the movie night you can watch from the pool or your balcony (unfortunately there was a bit too much karaoke for our liking but that's a personal pet hate and I appreciate lots of people love that kind of thing) I was a bit concerned before we came about the pool closing at 7 pm as I thought it was a bit too early but the breeze really gets up and you wouldn't want to be lounging by the pool any later so it didn't cause us any problems. Getting a sunbed was a bit of a joke - they really should enforce their policy and not allow people to reserve 4 and in some cases 7 sunbeds at a time who then all disappear to get breakfast. Embarrassingly some people were queuing from silly o'clock! All reception staff were really helpful, especially for advice on booking events etc. We also made use of public transport and jumped the bus to playa Blanca for the day (grand sum of 3 euros each!) and walked into the port for the water bus into the next port - puerto callerta (which you can actually walk to along the coast). Waterbus has a glass bottom and the captain stops in the sea for everyone to have a look at the marine life which was a nice touch. Also in the biosefera shopping centre there's an outdoor cinema on the roof, you choose either Spanish or English in your headphones - highly recommended. Had a fab time and would definitely return.

We stayed here for the second time and were not disappointed. The hotel is well situated on a nice flat walk between Matagorda and the Strip within minutes of shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed in a ground floor refurbished apartment which had brilliant air conditioning and a ceiling fan in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped and it is perfectly possible to cook a meal if desired. There was a bottle of water in the fridge when we arrived and a small number of tea bags, sugar etc. There were dishcloths, scourer, dishwasher tablets, tea towels and washing up liquid canister. The bed was comfortable with nice quality linen and the bathroom was excellent with a big shower with a soap canister, no bath. There was plenty of wardrobe space and drawers for a couple and a safe in the bedroom. The terrace has 4 chairs and a table and 2 sunloungers which meant that we didn't need to use a sunlounger by the pool which was at times difficult to get one as the pool area is small.
