Days Inn Lancaster PA Dutch Country

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Dirty, torn carpets you almost trip on, smoke smell in non -smoking rooms, fuzzy tv channels, not all the channels came in, the ac/heater only worked in medium setting and was super loud. Breakfast was normal. Definitely not the quality you expect from a Days Inn. Pay the extra and go across the street.

acceptable accommodations though not fancy. No frills like a pool or hot tub. Had a good proximity to the places we wanted to visit.

The hotel overall was clean and staff where friendly i will recommend this hotel to family and friends..

Hotel seemed understaffed first night of my stay from looking for properties in the area resulted in no parking spaces and my room did not receive turn down services, when I asked for an extra blanket the guy at the front desk said he would bring one but never did.The next night the front desk girl had went way out of her way to not only move her car so I could park my rental in a space in the parking lot but she brought up extra towels and a blanket. the bed mattress was not very comfortable and we were in a king suite. I also think the bed was a queen not a king.

While the location is good and have stayed here previously the facilities have not been maintained and have degraded since my previous stay. Do not think will stay here again.

Very disappointing. We have stayed here many times but have observed the quality of the facility is deteriorating. Carpet in hallways is filthy, the cooling vent in our room had dust & junk sticking inside it, etc.

The hotel at first sight, looks cozy and Appealing;however, the rugs on the floor Are very filthy;one of the blankets had a hole from a cigarette burn, and a stain on it.We told the staff in the reception area about it , but the blanket was never changed. In addition ,the staff waked us up at 8:30 a.m to clean up the room the First day of our staying, and on the other Hand, they did not do the room the last day we were there. It was then, that we called Orbitz to report it.Moreover, when You flushed the toilet, the water was very Dark and rusty;when we asked the front Desk about this matter, they told us that the water was like that due to a fire and issues with a hydrant..Well,overall we had a terrible Experience at this nice looking and refurbished hotel that is why we titled This encounter ,as looks are deceiving.

The room would have been satisfactory accept for the moldy smell which could not be overcome despite spraying. Bathroom needed additional linens as one of the towels was extremely soiled despite having been laundered. Jumar, the desk sign person, was extremely pleasant and efficient despite his young age.

We first checked into the room after signing in with the wonderful young lady at the front counter. It was rather smelly. A musty smell. A combination of old carpet and air conditioning, I suspect. I can't believe that motels haven't gone to tile floors. Also the first time we flushed the toilet there was water all over the floor. No, it didn't overflow. The little plastic line of the refill valve came off and water was squirting at the seam of the bowl lid causing water to splash out. I reconnected it, but it came off again. I slowed the flow of water with the shut-off valve and it stopped blowing off after that. The shower temperature was almost non-controllable and was a little more than a trickle. TV remote that wasn't in the room when we checked in, didn't control the off/on of the TV. The first morning of our stay, we went to the "breakfast nook" and it was very crowded and we had no place to sit or move around at all. We went out for breakfast. All in All it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I was so surprised, because we have stayed at other Wyndham Hotels and found them impeccable for the most part.

Rooms were nice size send clean. Rest of hotel was dingy and dated.

we had a very pleasant stay for the price.it was clean and well kept

Dirty hotel. dusty room, black bathtub, unclean towels, cracked walls. Hotel in bad shape. Paid $100.

Great location for my business needs. Room was large and comfortable. WI-FI worked great.

The hotel was a nice location once we found it, the address was a little deceiving, it said Ronks, Pa. and we couldn't figure out where Ronks was, until we called the office. They gave us directions and we found it without much problem. We were there to visit our daughter and grandchildren. It was close to the outlets but we didn't go shopping.

The hotel was very comfortable, and in a convenient location...but, they booked us on the 2nd floor w/out even asking which floor we'd like. I didn't notice this on our itinerary (small print) until we got there. I'm 72 with bad knees, and the hotel does not have an elevator!! So beware of that point! What really took lots of points away was the free breakfast. Probably the worst ever. Choices were practically non existant, and ONE waffle maker for a room full of people. We were there just before 8AM...and they were out of milk..cream and orange juice, and no one was in a hurry to replenish!

Staff was accommodating. Good value for money. Quiet.

didnt get breakfast as it didnt start until 6 and i left at 530 each day

I gave it a overall 4 because our door key kept not working. Every time we went out for the day we had to get new keys but everything else was great!!!

Facility was extremely DIRTY, the staff was NOT courteous or helpful. The commode in our room would not flush, there was NO maintenance person on site to do repairs, the front desk girl drug a pipe snake down the hallway (on the floor) to snake the commode and was very rude about it, stating that she is not the maintenance person. We requested another room, her response was that she couldn't give us one. The fruit at the continental breakfast had mold on it, other guest were throwing it in the trash while complaining about the condition of the hotel This was a nonrefundable facility which was not disclosed until after the reservation was made.

the place was outdated no elevators, the 2nd floor hallway had no AC. the small refrigator in our room did not work. Reported it to the staff and promise to send a maintence man.. it was never fixed. The staff was not polite and hard to understand.I would not stay there again.
