Spent the weekend here with a friend. Facility really lovely, staff really pleasant and food, especially breakfast was delicious. My only criticism would be the cleanliness of the pool area and changing rooms. Housekeeping staff were always busy and in their defense it is difficult to keep on top of changing rooms during very busy times. All in all a nice stay and I would visit again.
Have spent several week news here dropping our son to uni. Excellent facilities, amazing breakfasts and friendly staff. Great swimming pool Dog friendly Great base for uni drop off for families, but also to explore the local area.
Absolutely amazing, me and my Wife had our wedding reception and evening reception here and they made our dream wedding become reality. The bedrooms were gorgeous. Clean and modern. We were in the silverdale suite which was huge and had everything we needed and could of asked for. Will definitely be staying her again. The fitness centre is great, so much to do and the swimming pool and hot tub are to die for. All in all the hotel is far the best in the area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Lancaster house and all your staff.
Back to this hotel in a suite room 204 as we needed more room to get ready for our sons wedding and we were not disappointed, we had a stand alone bath, toiletries, lovely dressing gowns and lots of space..the bed was huge and a hospitality tray was always topped up...a lady came to give us a bottle of sleep spray for our pillows too. The breakfast uses really good ingredients and there is everything you could need and more on the menu for cooked to order stuff...only thing this time was when we arrived for breakfast around 8.30 every table had been used and not cleaned off afterwards, we waited while a table was made ready and continued with our breakfast observing the staff not in any great hurry to clear up at all, one guy started to load dishes onto a tray then left it to go elsewhere! I do know there had been a lot of Japanese tourists leaving but even so no rush was made and it wasn't a very pleasant sight looking at all these dirty tables while we ate... Thanks to Sam in the hairdressers who did a cracking job putting my hair up she was a star. So all in all a great stay but knocked a star off for the breakfast experience.
We came to stay for 2 nights for a wedding elsewhere in Lancaster. The location was really convenient just minutes from the M6. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere from Reception was really lovely. The room was nicely decorated with a great selection of got drink options and was really quiet even with the windows open. The breakfast buffet was tasty with a really good selection of hot and cold options. We made use of the pool and sauna area, which although small, were great to have access to. My only criticism is that the bathrooms could have done with a hot water warnings on the basin as the water from th hot tap came out very hot very quickly. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back if in the area!
We stayed at the Lancaster House for one night as we were going to an evening reception there. We booked the suite and got a discounted rate of £140 which was very reasonable. The hotel is lovely and clean, and the room was a really good size. Lovely big bathroom and huge comfortable bed. The staff at reception and the evening do were friendly and polite. At breakfast in the morning the waiter couldn't have been more helpful and friendly (and he wasn't over bearing either!), the breakfast choice was plentiful and of excellent quality. The trip was lovely and I couldn't fault it. My only criticism is that there was no shampoo or condition in the room. There was a combined Elemis hair and body wash (which was lovely)...but it would have been nice to have a proper shampoo and conditioner. And i only noticed that because I forgot to bring my own. Sadly we didn't have time to enjoy the spa facilities but I heard from other guests that they were great.
Just returned home after a three night stay with my mum at this lovely hotel. This hotel is situated within the grounds of the university which is on the outskirts of the city, so I would suggest it more convenient to have a car if you decide to stay here. The hotel lobby has a comfortable seating area, there is a contemporary restaurant where we ate on a half board basis, the breakfasts and the evening meals were excellent. All staff we met in the hotel are friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble, (thank you Harry). I used the great leisure facilities, which are modern and clean. Our bedrooms were comfortable, and quiet each overlooked a grassy verge. I would definitely stay here again. Many Thanks.
Stayed for 3 nights as part of long running reunion. This was our 40th year since we left Lancaster University. This Hotel is conveniently just off the motorway and feeds off the University for its main custom as it is virtually in its grounds. Food very good but overpriced. Likewise drinks. Rooms comfortable but lack any fridge although ice is available in corridor dispenser. No air conditioning control in the room either. Just an electric wall heater. Major issue for us is that dogs are accepted in the rooms and there were quite alot of them during our short stay. So if you have an allergy to dogs avoid this hotel. Our room smelt very doggy which is not pleasant.
Stayed here before and really enjoyed it hence the return. It was anniversary so emailed ahead and when we checked it in we were upgraded to a luxury suite which was great. Extremely roomy with lounge area, very large bed and large bathroom. Only one little snag was there was no fridge in the room, everything but. Spa was nice, however the outdoor hot tub is being refurbished so we were disappointed as had been looking forward to it. We ate at foodworks restaurant which is nice but meals are pricey I find. Nice bar area too. Had another great stay. Thankyou to Amy on reception who organised the upgrade.
Was here on business for 3 nights, visiting the university. Perfect location for that purpose. Very easy going and efficient experience, facilitated by excellent staff. Feel that I didn't make the most of spa facilities, but was working, unfortunately. Very comfortable bed and great breakfast (including gluten free options). No complaints, but if anyone from the hotel reads this, the batteries for the TV remote in RM 066 need changing soon.
