This was my second visit to The Big Blue Hotel, rooms are good, not massive but sufficient. Breakfast is great and plentiful, downside to this hotel is we had to vacate the car park when we went to the Pleasure Beach as we were staying just the one night. Overall it's a great hotel , well worth a visit.
We booked this hotel on a deal which included 2nights bed and breakfast, dinner 1 night and pleasure beach access and for the money we paid it was fabulous value for money. The hotel is clean and v comfortable with a small kids area in the room with TV and PlayStation. Staff are very friendly and although we personally didn't need them, every time we passed they were doing their best to help someone. Food in the restaurant was great and the breakfast was hot and had everything you needed. Tram stop right outside for travel to the tower etc. Would defo return to this hotel
Great deal in this hotel Had a two night B&B with dinner on first night and day pass into the Pleasure beach Came with my granddaughter who had a ball Rooms clean and well appointed and when you take account of the dinner and passes the B&B part comes in at £36 per night Highly recommended
Booked on a whim for me and my son who is age 10, great value if you book online. From start to finish the whole experience from parking, to storing our bags, to picking up our wristbands, to entry into Pleasure Beach and to finally checking in was seamless. I cannot Thank the staff enough special thanks to Thomas, who came to my rescue when I couldn't turn the shower off and for his outstanding attentive service during our stay, also to the wonderful reception team. We at in the Brassiere lovely food and again great service. Breakfast was lush with so much choice. If your thinking of staying here get it booked you will not be disappointed. Thanks again team we had a ball.
Booked via Virgin Experience Days and absolutely loved it. The staff in reception, hospitality and the breakfast team were amazing. Really lovely vibe, nothing was too hard or an issue. The room is great, the shower had power and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and hot chocolate was perfect. Only thing I would say is reception should mention the exit code for the car park when you check in as we had no idea about it and when we tried to go out for the evening we were stuck at the barriers and had to go back in to ask for the code. Other than that, had a perfect stay and will definitely return.
We booked just two day so the kids could use the water park up the road. The room was laid out for a family, with a large double and two bunk beds for the kids The kids had a little side room for their bunks with there own TV's and games, they loved it. I didn't expect a massive amount tbh, but it was nice and clean and the kids loved it. Out room has a view into the theme park and was actually within the Big Blue ride.
Big blue first impression clean hotel and friendly staff. Affordable price standard breakfast very good size room and nice terrace. We didn't had a chance to try the actual restaurant but the menu looks very good. Highly recommended
Great 2 night stay which included Pleasure Beach wristbands and dinner on first evening. Room was set up to sleep 5 and was very spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was delicious and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
This place ticked every box for a 2-night stay with wife and 4-year-old daughter. Package for 2 nights B&B with dinner on the 1st night and 1 day wristband for the Pleasure Beach came in at around £260, which we felt was great value considering the location and standard of the hotel. Parking and wifi were free, hotel is literally right next to the Pleasure Beach (our room overlooked the rollercoasters) and they have a special entrance to the theme park to save you a walk around to the far gate. Pleasure Beach wristbands were all sorted at hotel reception and the service was excellent. Dinner on the first night was spot-on, three courses from their table d'hote menu (three or four menu choices per course) or £25 off the a la carte menu. Breakfast each morning was lovely, although we did have to wait a few mins for a table on the first day as we went at peak time. Only a short wait and the staff were very quick at clearing tables and managing the whole process. Rooms were really nice for the price, huge HD telly, comfy double bed, tea/coffee/biscuits, and a nice dedicated kids area with two bunk beds, TV and games console. Our daughter loved this part. All in all we couldn't fault it, and the tram/bus stop is right over the road for venturing along the front, which we did several times. Would definitely stay here if we were in Blackpool again.
I visited with my son for two nights on the couples midweek deal. 2 nights including breakfast, dinner on 1 night and Pleasure Beach tickets for a total of £189 was excellent value. I requested a view of the park and we were upgraded to a beautiful deluxe room with the Big Dipper etc flying past the patio windows. My son was beyond ecstatic. The hotel is spotless, food delicious and staff are lovely. We were given a very warm welcome by Laureen who along with another receptionist went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.
