Stayed here for 1 night the week after the lights finished with our 2 kids (3 and 2). Wonderful hotel with a very comfy big room. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always pleasant. We are here in the evening and the food was excellent quality at a very good price. Again the restaurant staff very friendly, polite and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was just as nice, with plenty of choice and all the food was fresh. The staff even cooked our son some fresh scrambled eggs with no milk (our son has a dairy intolerance). The added bonus was the car parking which was included in the price and were able to stay the next day also till mid afternoon on the day of departure. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Only stayed 1 night to see the lights on the promenade. Very nice room and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Only gripe was parking which was always full so took some time to park up. Would definitely stay here again if in Blackpool.
My wife and l have been holidaying in Blackpool since we were courting in 1966.This was the first time we have stayed at the Big Blue hotel having stayed at all the so called top hotels in Blackpool previously. This truly is the best hotel in Blackpool in our opinion, nothing was to much trouble for the friendly hotel staff they were absolutely devoted in their work.We will be visiting the hotel again shortly, and our only regret is we had not stayed at the hotel before.
Spent one night here with my partner to see the lights. Hotel is spotless. It's a little bit more expensive than the local B&B's but it's well worth the extra. Only gripe if I have to be picky is the prices of the drinks in the bar are expensive. Looking forward to returning next year.
A very pleasant stay. It was an especially busy weekend when we arrived (Saturday morning during illuminations!) And were allowed to park in the car park even though checkin was not until 3pm which was so useful! When we did check in, our little girl was thrilled with "her room" which was the kids section of the room including bunk beds, wall snakes and ladders, their own tv and games! It was all super clean, lots of in room necessities, (not like other places where they give you one tea bag and one coffee sachet!) Breakfast was a great selection in the morning and if you are early birds like us (7:30) it was pleasantly quiet but apparently does get very busy later on. Overall, very pleasant experience.
Great spacious family room, great food and service.Breakfast can be busy if you are later in the morning, but they seat you as soon as they can Really close to the pleasure beach, definitely somewhere we would go back to.
truely a 4* hotel, very nice ambience, enough parking spaces, spacious rooms, friendly staff, very clean rooms. All in all a great experience plus you get free entry to blackpool pleasure beach theme park. Right across the beach with the whole strip within walking distance
This hotel is superb. This is a 4 star plus.on entering the foyer we were taken aback how clean and modern it was.Our bedroom surpassed our expectations,a large room with three chairs and even an electric fire and a lovely bathroom with a power shower. An evening meal and breakfast was included in our deal. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast very good. All the staff from front of desk to the cleaners could not be faulted, everyone always had a smile on their faces. This is the hotel to stay in Blackpool and at reasonable prices.
I received an email From booking.com advertising a family room, we were taking our 8 & 10 year old grandkids to see the lights, so I booked the room for £180, the booking asked me to confirm the kids ages which I added on my booking, arrived Saturday Nov 4th to be told I had booked a double room, even though email said was a family room, receptionist was really rude and unhelpful even though I had two upset kids she wasn’t interested in helping me, I was told to remove my car from the Car park even though they had £180 Of my non refundable or transferable money, we drove round for an hour n half looking for a parking space, never ever will I go here again, shady dealings making me believe I was booking a family room, turning us away when we arrived and a 5 hours Car journey home, very rude staff & £180 lost please avoid :(
We stayed for two nights and EVERYTHNG was just GREAT, the Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The Food was pure excellence and the Staff, all of them were so friendly and helpful. If r when we go back to Blackpool there will NOT be any other place to stay.
