Scandic Patria4.0 out of 5.0

Stayed for a 5 days, it is a neat and clean hotel, spacious rooms, good service at room as well as from reception and located close to the harbour. There is no view to the lake, however it is just few steps away from the lake walk and park. Restaurant serves fair breakfast, but with limited options for an asian traveller. There are lot of dining options nearby the hotel and 7 minutes by a taxi from rail station. All together, value for money stay.
Typical Scandic hotel, but on the higher end of the quality scale. Nicely located close to the harbour, the fortress and the city center. Friendly service, both in the reception and in the breakfast restaurant.
It turned out to be a good decision to choose this hotel. Location, staff friendliness and cleanliness was great. We stayed only for a night since we had to take the cruise. Wish we had another night! Rooms are a bit cramped though.
Stayed at the Scandia Patria as part of a business trip to Lappeenranta. The hotel is clean and welcoming with very friendly reception staff. The room was perfect, spacious and had a VERY comfy bed. This did make it difficult in the morning as the breakfast was excellent with so much food to choose from, and therefore it was a personal challenge to leave a comfy bed for the tasty breakfast. The hotel is ideally located next to the lakeside and town centre and just a short stroll to the fortress. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in such a lovely part of Finland.
The hotel is very convenient, especially if you get by car. Nearby is the old garrison and Lake Saimaa. The restaurant is tasty. The staff is very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Very like bed linens - soft, smooth and cozy, it is very pleasant to stretch out on the bed after a walk on the lake! The room and the restaurant were cool, the heater was not particularly heated.
Partia is located near port of Lappeenranta , easy to take small cruise. I like that there is small sauna in the room. People in Sotuh Karelia are friendly. There is also lot of Russian tourists. Center is also near.
We had to leave early - so I asked if we could get something to eat at 4.30. This was done in style! A whole breakfast with a newspaper and even sandwiches to take away! The service was exceptional! We visited sauna and it had nice views to the harbour and a jacuzzi. And we were guided (probably) to the best restaurant in Lappeenranta: Wolkoff. Pure happiness. We will come again!
Decent, reliable accommodation, tasty breakfast and absolute cleanliness. Flexible check-in policy at least in my case. Locationwise those Scandic premises I have visited are smoothly positioned in close proximity of urban areas or sports facilities.
The hotel is nicely located near the lakeside. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast is good and I have nothing really to complain about. Scandic Patria as everything that you would expect from a small town hotel. I frequently stay there during my business trips to Lappeenranta.
The hotel is clean and quiet, located in the best part of town, and staffed by very helpful people. We had an issue with our room (smokers outside the hotel affecting our air inside), and customer service was great, offering to move our room and giving us a discount. Best of all was the breakfast -- organic, lots of options, very fresh fruit, and lots of gluten-free choices (which was a lifesaver for our daughter).
