The hotel was Ok mostly, but a couple of things which spoiled the stay for us. First of all, do not get conned by the free breakfast. You get your calories if you badly need them, but it was quite bad. Some stale wrapped Danishes and bagels etc. No protein whatsoever. The Covid 19 excuse in action. Second, we chose the hotel for the pool and called ahead to confirm that it will be open. They said yes only to have it closed (for "cleaning") on Sunday. Needless to say, no cleaning took place while we were there. The staff are gruff but I guess it comes with the locale. In short, this is not a vacation get away place

It's dated but clean and the price is right. Near all Lake Placid sites.

perfect location on the lake, nearby restaurants and grocery story, canoe and rowboats for use! We loved it.

Good location clean and tidy friendly and helpful staff

I booked on orbitz while I was waiting in line for over 30 minutes to check in. We got to the room and it smelled moldy, had cobwebs and bugs on the walls and trash outside next to the building. We walked out and drove away. We were going to talk to the front desk but there was a long line and didn’t have time to wait. As soon as we got to another hotel we called to say we left and wanted a refund due to the condition of the room. They hung up on us. We called orbitz who tried calling the hotel for hours and kept getting hung up on. Eventually we got an email from orbitz that our refund request was declined and they are still trying to work it out. Quality Inn Lake Placid is disgusting and should not even be listed on orbitz as an option.

I loved that is was central to many of the places we were trying to visit

The bathroom shower had mold around the base and floor. I had forgotten my iPad charger in the room. I contacted the hotel on 08/11 & 08/12 but was placed on hold several times and know one picked up my call. I left several messages on the managers voicemail that was not returned. I finally called on 08/13 and the manager answered the phone. After I expressed my disappointment to Christine (mgr.), she contacted housekeeping to see if they had found my charger in Rm. 133. I was able to hear their conversation and housekeeping informed the mgr. that they had returned the charger to the front desk on Sunday, 08/11! Christine advised that she would mail the charger to me and charge my credit card for the shipping charge. She charged my card $3.66 after we spent over $400.00 for two nights. Christine advised that they were understaffed and that’s why they placed me on hold and she didn’t review her voicemails? Needless to say that my wife and I are not very happy with this hotel especially when we had stayed at many Quality Inn’s in the past.

There's a nice hotel here, but we didn't get to stay there. The main hotel with the amenities like a pool and breakfast are separate from the hotel lobby and 8 rooms, and we were in the latter. The main hotel is about 100 yards away and up a significant hill, with no easy, direct way to walk from one to the other. The only stairs up the hill are at the far end of the hotel. The set up is just very inconvenient if you are in one of those 8 rooms at the bottom of the hill.

Room service does not change bed sheets. There was mold in the bathroom. Shower head did not work properly, it was leaking. No high power lamp or exhaust in Restroom. Room has stinky old carpet. Front staffs were nice though. Lake facing view was also nice. Average highway side motel standard.

Inexpensive but clean and comfortable. No frills.

Nice hotel. A little pricey but guess it the season. Bus driver staying overnight

Bed was squishy and not many outlets. Room was clean

The clerk at check in was sarcastic and unprofessional both in appearance and demeanor. The facilities are in poor repair; pool was filthy, pool roof leaking, black mold on room wall, mattresses not supportive, carpets dirty, furniture in poor repair, breakfast lacking items, poor food quality, rooms noisy ect. This hotel was probably great in the 80's but is well past it's prime. Spend the extra money and stay anywhere else.

I am sorry that you were so unhappy with our breakfast, I don't feel that is is a covid 19 excuse, we serve the items that Choice says we can serve. We are doing our best to make everyone happy. I do apologize that the pool was closed.
