The carpet is very dirty. The tub would not drain. The fireplace had no directions on how to turn on. The 2 numbers in the lobby to call for assistance were completely non -responsive and the Inn doesn’t have an on-site manager. The third number from the website worked and the maintenance person asked me to see if the fireplace was plugged in. After moving the fireplace it came off the base and nearly tipped over. The maintenance person came and fixed the fireplace and figured out how to start it (button under a hidden front panel). Messages were not returned regarding the tub that failed to drain. After calling again, I was told drano could be put in the tub and if that didn’t work I could be given a code to another room to shower which was declined. A credit was offered. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The outlets were minimal and required unplugging the lamp or coffeemaker to charge a cell phone.
Our hotel room was adorable and clean. It had a fully stocked kitchenette so if we wanted to eat in our room, there were plates, cups, and utensils available. There was also a keurig, microwave, small fridge and sink. We had the option to use their canoes or kayaks but it was cold and rainy so we opted out. The lake view was beautiful, as expected. Towels were plush and big. I want to buy some of my own! Overall, we would stay there again.
The view in Lake Placid is beautiful. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was the most clean place I’ve ever stayed; this is especially important in the times of COVID-19. The bed was also very comfortable compared to most hotels or motels. I definitely plan on staying here again.
