Exelent location, near city center. Confortable clean rooms. Exelent for a base to discover Lago Maggiore and surroundings. Very nice and tasy dinners, with salad buffet. Very nice breakfast - rich choice.

Booked a quadruple room at Hotel Meeting. Was given an apartment in Villa Maurice . Very clean and comfortable. Two large rooms and a kitchen area which was fully equipped. Could make cups of tea and coffee and eat our take aways . Breakfast was simple. Ate on two occasions at the restaurant. Tasty food , 3 course meal with salad bar for a reasonable price. The apartment was close to the railway station and the ferry terminal, about 5 minutes walking distance . Be aware that the apartment is close to the railway line so it can be pretty noisy . Have your ear plugs ready if you are a light sleeper !

The hotel is situated right across Stresa convention center and at short walking distance from Stress center with its excellent restaurants. We have chosen to dine in the city centre restaurants so I can't comment on the hotel restaurant or bar (which looked very cosy). The rooms are spacey but very basic and could do with a little refurbishment, although I saw some rooms with a more modern interior, so maybe the hotel is redecorating. Reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast was of good quality, with a good standard buffet choice. Again, the staff was very friendly. No complaints at all on that level! We visited in september and went up to the "sun roof" (it was still a nice +20 °C), but that's a disappointment. Both the access to the roof and the state of the sun roof itself was just ugly. I hope it looks better in the summer season. Hotel Meeting is an ideal place to stay if you attend an event in the Stresa convention center. Since this is for business, more "touristy" things like a sun roof are of less importance. Would I recommend it as a holiday stay? If you're on a budget: yes. All in all, Hotel Meeting is a good value for money hotel.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Newmarket Holidays Trip to Maggiore and the Matterhorn 21 - 28th September. The hotel is very well run with friendly staff at all points. The bedroom had a double plus single bed with a spacious wardrobe. The bedside cabinets and the dressing table were open plan with no drawers - somewhat like Ikea style. The beds were stripped every two or three days and the room immaculately clean. The room had a fridge(which did not work) and a television. There was a balcony with two chairs and a table. The bathroom, like the bedroom was fitted out in a very modern style with a bidet and a two option shower. I think this was the cleanest bathroom I have ever experienced in 65 years. Towels changed daily. The breakfast was the standard continental style with ample meats and cheese - there was also hot hard boiled eggs. Excellent fresh orange juice (two types) were dispensed from a self help chiller machine. Croissants and "cakes" were also available. Top grade coffee with hot milk and a large variety of flavoured teas were offered. The evening meal was to a very high standard and mainly served on a "silver service" basis. On our final day at the hotel, much to our surprise, they offered a breakfast for just the two of us departing at 6.00 am. It was everything you got normally, except for the eggs - and this was at 5.30 and very cheerfully served, including warming the croissants. I would normally have knocked off half a star for the fridge, but the early breakfast fully compensated for this. The hotel is centrally located near the shops and centre of Stresa. Overall an excellent experience. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel including the friendly owners.

we stayed here for 3 nights and as the other reviews said it is a no frill hotel> very basic but clean and decent bathroom. Great location, near to the bus stop, the boats and lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and breakfast ok especially if you like cake. walking distance to the cable cars, mini golf and zoo. We had a great time and the whole area is beautiful.

We were allocated this hotel on arrival, and found that we could not have found better value. Our rooms were Immaculately clean, the staff were helpful and polite, and the restaurant was so good that we dined there for six of our seven nights. Location was central to the little town, but afforded good mountain views. Building work nearby was a bit noisy, but we were able to move to another room on the other side. The air conditioning in the first room was the quietest we had ever found, and only slightly less so in the second, which had a better view from the balcony.

Recently stayed at the Hotel Meeting as part of a package deal. We were given an apartment immediately adjacent to the hotel. The rooms were well furnished and clean. The shower was particularly good with large cubicle. Only a continental breakfast is offered but the quality was reasonable. We did not try the restaurant but others reported favourably. The hotel is very well placed for a stay at Stresa and lake Maggiore. Just a few minutes down to the main restraurant and shopping area and the lake or 10 minutes up towards the railway station. There are steep steps up to the door and inside the lobby to the lift.

This is a Three star Hotel that is exactly that, no frills, no pool, no posh garden with deck chairs. But the rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable, the shower hot. The Lobby and bar could do with redecoration, but the breakfast/dining room is OK. We only had one meal in the evening, but that was a set meal but very cheap. The buffet breakfasts were fine but may be a little European for conservative English tastes. If you want luxury do not go here, but for value it is very good. Two important points are that there are steps to the Lobby and then to the Lift. and the train station is very near, which means the lines are also near.

We stayed in the The Hotel Meeting for 4 nights as part of a weeklong break to Milan & Stresa. The Hotel was ideally located just 500 meters from the train station (no more than a 10 minute walk). The train we took from Milan was a regional train that cost just 7.55 euros and took just an hour &10 mins from Milan Central Station, quicker trains were available from 16.50 euros. We had room 318 which was at the back of the hotel, with views over Stresa towards the mountains (See photo). The Hotel was ideally situated for the local shops & restaurants & wonderful ice-cream parlours, the main square was about 300 meters away. The lakeside was about 350 meters away, with plenty of options to take boat trips. We paid 10 euros to visit the Isola Superiore dei Pescatori & Isola Bella. The Hotel itself was just what we were looking for, ideally located for the local amenities but without the extra expense of a lake side location & view. The room was modern & clean, with a TV (not that we watched it) fridge, balcony & free Wi-Fi . The bathroom had a nice shower & Bidet if you like that sort of thing. The breakfast was a continental buffet style of a high standard. Available from 7am to 10pm. All the staff were friendly, the Reception staff were especially helpful with perfect English for us lazy Brits. One girl in particular came to our rescue when our flight home was cancelled due to a 1 day baggage handling strike, she helped us log on to Easy jet website, transfer our flights & print new boarding passes. Would highly recommend this hotel & would be happy to stay there again.

We particularly booked this hotel as it advertised free parking, we arrived on our motorbikes, performed the impossible getting the bikes in , down a very steep windind uneven lane, { surely this should be mentioned] , Our room was quite nice, although the broken tiles in the bathroom need sorting, quite noisy at night due to bus loads of other guests leaving early, very early !! On checking out we discovered our free parking was now 5 euros per bike, apparently free was outside on the street, shame they did not tell us that when we booked it on the website, overall a reasonable hotel but wouldn't stay there again.
