Stayed here for one night. We were upgraded due to my RR status to a business room, which had been recently renovated. The location is a 5 minute walk from the train station. The staff member checking us in was very polite, friendly and helpful. Some of the staff in the bar and restaurant weren’t as friendly but it wasn’t such a big issue. The room is a very good size and has a lovely bathroom. WiFi worked really well during our stay too. We ate in the hotel and the quality of the food was extremely good and we enjoyed the ‘Wine Lounge’ too - prices reasonable for Switzerland. The location of the hotel is a great starting point from which to explore Luzern. We ordered room service and again, the quality and service was excellent. I really liked this hotel overall and would definitely recommend.
I had booked a standard guest room with a double bed for a one night stay at this Radisson property for my fiancée and I. As Radisson Rewards gold members we were upgraded to a nice business class room when checking in. Our room was very spacious. The bathroom was also quite large and boasted a bath tub in addition to the shower corner available. The breakfast service was a nice experience, even though it was a bit crowded (I believe the hotel was almost at capacity during our stay). There is an outdoor seating area as well as the indoor alternative. Eggs are made to order and you would otherwise find the normal food selection as with most hotels of a certain standard. One mishap during our stay was the I left behind / the receptionist forgot to return my passport while checking in. I did not notice this until the day after when we arrived at Geneva. When calling the hotel they had apparently found my passport the evening before, however why staff members at the hotel did not contact me while staying at the property nor when checking out the next morning, remains a mystery. Hopefully the postal service will see my passport safely returned to my home address. Still, even with the little accident mentioned above, I would happily stay again at this hotel if visiting Lucerne again in the near future.
Very nice and modern hotel. Friendly staff, very clean room. Well situated, near to the lake and the railway station. Too expensive breakfast. Parking garage adjacent to the hotel, quite expensive rate.
Stayed here for a week and had problems with the reception staff. When trying to book out I was told they couldn't print me a receipt even though I had just paid for city taxes. Bloke on reception really rude and unhelpful. All I wanted was a copy of the receipt, he said I could be anyone! I wish anyone would come and settle my room bill. Really poor service. When I arrived I asked for an iron and ironing board it took me 3 visits to reception and an hour waiting to finally get one. Nice hotel but poor service☹️
The hotel is located in a great area, but in my opinion, that’s the only plus. The hotel personnel were not friendly or helpful. Our room was set up very strange. The bedroom and bathroom were right next to each other and separated by a “fuzzy” glass wall. So while sitting in bed, the toilet in the bathroom was right next to me, but instead of a regular wall, it was a fuzzy glass wall. You could see the outline of anyone using the bathroom from your bed, whether they were in the shower or using the toilet. I was traveling with my husband, but I still was not comfortable with the room set up. The carpet and furnishings are in desperate need of an update.
Stayed in early April. Once the door opened you are greeted by panoramic views of snow capped mountains. Room extremely clean and comfortable. Quite modern. Hotel is just around the corner from central station and close to all the scenic locations.
Great Location, Excellent hospitality, very good parking facilities and lovely newly renovated rooms. There seems to be great Fitness area and Dining, but for only 1 night it was not possible take advantage of this all.
Nice hotel with all the basic needs - new with clean decent size room. Great friendly staffs. Located about 10mins from the main train station & a short distance from Lake Lucerne (not the main part though).
Hotel is located right next to the train station. So that is super convenient. But its not like a regular congested area or commercial zone. There is a parking lot underground just below the hotel which is also very easy. Checkin front desk was polite and efficient. Worked to get me a bit earlier into my room as i had just flown in on a long overseas flight. The room service can be a bit pricey but very good quality. The lake is just in front and is a pleasant stroll around it, with really nice shopping and restaurants across the bridge. I would recommend and return.
We stayed two nights at the Radisson Blu prior to our river cruise. It is a beautiful hotel. Unique lobby. The rooms had recently been renovated and they were really nice. Comfortable beds, great shower, heated bathroom floor, robes, slippers. The hotel staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our stay included breakfast and it was a good selection and was delicious. Close to everything in the city so was very walkable. Hope to return one day! Highly recommend.
