Well located - easy 10 minute walk from train station and paddle boat for our journey. Close to town centre too. Room ready when we arrived, I had a single room but it was fine size wise, clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast buffet was amazing - cook to order eggs, a great selection of fresh fruit and juices, artisan bread, lovely cheeses and pastries. We ate in restaurant in the evening for convenience and it was not only lovely food but reasonably priced too. On leaving given a complimentary bottle of water for journey- would definitely recommend.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It was clean, the staff was friendly, and they had the most marvelous air conditioning in all of Europe! (apologies, I'm an American and we are sadly used to AC!) The breakfast was amazing and we had dinner at Bolero one night which was quite delicious. Location by train station is perfect and it's a nice walk to the sights downtown. Thanks Cascada for the excellent stay!!
Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and two sons. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from railway station and 10 minute walk from the lake. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. After I'd checked out and left for Geneva I realised I forgot some of my belongings in the wardrobe. They impressed me most after they couriered everything to my hotel in Geneva, in time before I left Switzerland and at no extra cost. For this extra touch I would be very pleased to recommend them to everyone.
Just booked room for my upcoming trip by using What's App video call. Process was prompt, smooth & very helpful lady at the front desk took the booking with a smiling face, taking down all our special requests, providing necessary information. Lot better compare to what we get here in US even when you are paying upwards of $350USD. Excited and looking forward to our stay at Cascada and in Lucerne.
Cascada is lovely. There are extra little touches that go a long way. Our room was beautiful and in a great location - a little off of the very busy hustle and bustle of Lucerne but a close walk to everything. the train station is so close and the staff was happy to keep our luggage for us while we used our last few hours to sightsee. thanks to all for a super visit.
I stayed at the Cascada while traveling through Lucerne for two nights. Overall -- the hotel was good. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the theme of the Swiss waterfalls. Overall, the hotel was very compact - including the lobby and my room itself (even for what is considered an 'economy room;). The hotel was close to the train station which made it convenient for visitors coming in, but it wasn't in the midst of all the central Lucerne tourist attractions. This was mitigated by a quick walk. Dinner at Bolero was great. The hotel was good, as I noted, and would consider coming back.
We payed 300eur for a small room. The bed was good, bathroom was clean ans the breakfast was very good. But I expect a bigger room for that price, and on top of that we had to pay 20eur for the 'parking', a muddy field under a bridge garded by some homeless people. Not really what i was expecting either. That type of parking needs to be free, especially if you already payed 300eur for one night.
we were 2 adults & 2 children below 10, we booked the family room which was a king size bed plus a sofa bed which can take 2 children, the distribution of the room was nice and spacious. kids bed on one side, king size bed opposite with like 3x3meters free space in the middle. breakfast was free good, live eggs station, pastries, oats, freshly squeezed juices, coffee, cheese, cold cuts & few more. the rooms are air conditions, but like most European hotels, not that cold room but was fine. the hotel is 7 min walk to the river and old town, plus the hotels give free public transport voucher to use during your stay. i reserved a parking spot in hotel parking lot which was with a security gate & was very convenient.
Very nice, good location, very friendly staff, great restaurant Bollerò downstairs. Very good value for money, centrally located and yet quiet and relaxing atmosphere without crowds walking around the place.
I have a very poor opinion of this hotel. I may have been given a 'budget' room at the full premium room price? The room was very small, as was the bathroom. Bed uncomfortable. Reception staff unfriendly. Breakfast was a hot buffet and was good. Value for money was poor, even for over priced Switzerland. Cannot be recommended.
