Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark

It was our first time stay, and I don't have any regrets. Very nice and convenient to indoor water park.

Or kids loved the hotel and the water park. We went on Easter break and the staff was lovely, but overall they seemed overwhelmed by the numbers/crowd. We waited on line for 30 minutes for lunch at the snack bar and the time AFTER check out and BEFORE check in was terribly crowded at the pool/park. Unfortunately our pull out couch had a huge red stain on the underside of the mattress which explains the "disappointing" rating for room cleanliness. We would definitely go again, just not on school break as they did not prepare/staff accordingly.

A little family getaway, we had a great time at the waterpark

There's lots to do for all ages. The water park area is clean and feels safe with many life guards around at all times. The room was average, with a dirty shower, but I didn't plan to shower there anyway! The complimentary breakfast is delicious and plentiful. We are a local family who comes here once a year to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday and we will continue to do so. The food in the water park is only average.

This was our first time at the Great Escape Lodge and overall, I was a little disappointed. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly, however, they really didn't explain the facilities to us (there were little tv monitors all around and we weren't really sure how to use them). The room was not so great. There were stains on the carpet, the toilet did not flush right and the beds and pillows were horrible. The kids did enjoy the water-park their ages are 13, 9, 8 and 7 years old. They also liked the Arcade room. We went to Dinner at Johnny Rockets (food not so great, staff very friendly) and in the morning they had a very nice continental breakfast available to everyone.

Hotel was ok. Could use an upgrade. Rooms were sufficient but bathroom wasn't clean.the kids had a blast. Good for a weekend getaway.

We booked last minute and were treated no differently. Every employee was super friendly and let us check in an hour early cause we had no where else to go! Access to all 3 parks was included in the room price.

Very enjoyable stay. Kids loved it. We'll go back again!

Ok. Nothing special......................................................................................................................

Great experience, great location, room was a little dated and room cleaning staff was mediocre at best.

Second year here. Fantastic for a family vacation!

our stay was great. the staff are awesome. ITS nice to have the indoor water park for rainy days. it rained one day during our stay and we still had the indoor water park to have fun all day in.

We love the Great Escape. We always have a blast at the indoor water park and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Very family oriented. We try to go back every year.

Great weekend family getaway, we really enjoyed the water park, especially the Lil ones! The next day we went to Great Escape, which was located across the street from the hotel.

Overall our stay was fine. We have stayed here three times. Although, I think that the room is a bit over priced. Aside from the waterpark , it's nice to visit Lake George and all the shopping at the outlets.

Great winter place to swim with the kids!! Local food is much better. Harvest restaurant for pizza is worth the drive for take out !!!!!

Room was very dark and wait at Johnny Rocket's was always too long and service too slow. Also, not enough dining options but all in all an okay trip. Kids (a 2 yr old and a 3 1/2 yr old) enjoyed which was the most important thing.

After driving though bad weather for twenty hours and arriving at 2am the hotel had no power and while that was unavoidable on their part they had no emergency lighting not even a flashlight! My husband had arrived earlier in the day and had purchased pizza for us and it was horrible!, and expensive. The front desk was not helpful and very rude walking around by the light of thier cell phone. When the lights did come on I noticed just how dirty the room was and the bath had not been cleaned. My grand children went to play at the water park the next day, Thanksgiving, while we help cook and near by relatives. The staff was, and I quote my grandson , "mean " and the water was freezing. They enjoyed playing outside in the snow more. While getting dressed for dinner they removed their armbands and we were told we would have to pay for new ones. The next day we had a $77. Breakfast that was no better then the continental free breakfast at most hotels. Everything cost extra. Big rip off! And what is with the robotic lifeguards......?? Not worth the thousand dollars we spent!

We found a good deal for a two night stay. The rate was better for the Great Escape when compared to other waterparks within a half day drive of NYC. The indoor waterpark is smaller than others we have been to, but was more than adequate for our family with kids 4 years old and 9. Missed not having a wave pool that we have seen at other indoor water parks. It was not overly crowded. Lines were short for the water slides and we had no problem finding tubes for the lazy river. We stayed on a Wed through Friday at the beginning of November. Probably a bit more crowded on the weekends. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the beds were terribly uncomfortable. Was glad I did not need to sleep in those beds another night. The Adventure Quest game kept the kids occupied when we were not in the waterpark. But the game was experiencing several technical problems that made it frustrating to play. We definitely plan to go back. But I am not looking forward to sleeping in those beds.

Water park loads of fun. Kids had a blast. Rooms comfortable. Near highway and shopping. Loved it.
