There’s a lot to say about this place and my experience but I just want to forget about it and NEVER go back.
Kept clean and very quiet serene neighborhood. Slightly off the Lake but for those liking quiet a very good option. Plus they take pets, a great plus!
Nice place , really enjoyed our stay
We started our stay at Roaring Brook Ranch Resort with a horse trail ride. It was amazing, far exceeding our expectations. The property was well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. We played with a giant outdoor chess set and relaxed in the adirondack chairs at the fire pit. The restaurant on site was adequate but we were grateful that the resort is just a few minutes away from the restaurants in the village. My kids are already asking when they can go back!
The room was clean and they placed plenty of clean towels in the room
Serene, dog friendly, and horse riding was the highlight !
The property is nestled back off the road. Surrounded by trees and mountains peeking through, the grounds are lovely. I am guessing they are still in the process of upgrading buildings as some of their units look older than others. We stayed in the Sonora building- must be brand new, new facade and little porch with rocking chair. Room was clean, spacious, all updated including bathroom (some reviews mentioned outdated bathrooms but unit 71 was updated throughout) building where check in and restaurant is seems outdated but clean. Check in and out pretty quick. The actual lake is a minute or two drive down the road so close enough to restaurants and parks.
The Ranch needs some renovations and it will be a good resort to stay: Pros: Good Location: close to restaurants and steamboat circle line. Friendly & helpful front desk staff Big Room Pet Friendly Restaurant (didn't try) Horseback Riding (didn't do) Free Parking Free Tea & Coffee Cons: Driveway is in bad shape...damaged. Bed isnt too comfortable. Property is on the "older" side Pool water is cold. Noisy in the nights, a big dog was directly over our room and it was ruining and barking early in the morning (5am)
The staff was very nice and the room was good. It is coinvent to be close to Lake George and be able to go to town then leave for peace and quiet
