This is the second time I have stayed here. Overall it is ok but I ordered an Italian panini and it was quite bad and outrageously expensive. I couldn't finish it. would not order room service again. Front desk staff were polite and friendly.

Everything was perfect! I will definitely recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Geneva city center.

We stayed at the Royal Manotel a few days ago. The room is close to the train station. But, you need to be careful walking around at night (after 10pm), as it doesn't feel safe and several locals told us to be careful. We booked a Junior Suite - which was not very big and considering the price we paid - this is simply not worth the cost. We stayed several properties in London, Interlaken and Zermatt - all of which were not as expensive, and considerably larger.

Great location, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was overpriced, we did Mcd's Cafe one morning and great supermarket on same block.

Overall a great surprise! First offer was a great value as for the center of the city. Afterwards you get upgraded which you did not expect to a higher rank of the room. The room itself astonishing and greatly furnished, clean and comfortable stay.

I needed only a pleasant place to stay for a night before heading into the French Alps and the Royal was a great place for that purpose. Clean, comfortable, economical and only a couple blocks from the rail station. A tram stop right outside the front door allows for easy access to other parts of the city if needed.

Hotel is very nice with so warm and elegant Christmas atmosphere. Desk staff so friendly and helpful. Hotel is near lake and not far distance from Old Town what makes easy place to start side seeing and visit tourist attractions. It is only one not nice part; our room -superior- had very dirty whole wall (one where coffee machine and TV are installed}. Apart from that everything was very good. Thank you Best regards Anna Wielgos and family

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during August, when Geneva is relatively low in its tourist population. The only downside to our stay was that our room was right in front of a main road, and the walls were very thing such that we could hear *everything* from the outside. So, we had to change our normal sleeping schedule times so that we could go to sleep after most of the noise outside died down (around 1:30am). Also, the hotel was a bit far from the main attractions in Geneva, which are on the left bank of the lake, whereas this hotel was on the right bank. Nonetheless, the transit is so excellent in Geneva that once you get the hang of using the transit the differences in distances are not inconvenient. Other than the noise, the hotel was very comfortable -- including the sheets, the bed, and the complementary robes and slippers -- and the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. There is free WiFi as well, and the hotel clearly marks what is part of the mini bar and what is not (other hotels where I have stayed tend to not do this, in order to "trick" you into using something that you thought was free but that was actually for purchase). Overall, we had a lovely time!

The triple room is big enough. Location is good. It worth a 4 plus star hotel. The price is high.

I couldn't believe I booked such a nice hotel in Geneva. That's a true 4 star! Considering how expensive things are in Geneva, this is a very good deal to us. We are a party of 3, and so I booked an executive room, which feels so spacious and luxurious that rivals the best 4 stars in the US. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and the lobby was nicely decorated and spacious too. From the outside, you wouldn't expect this kind of luxury at all. The restaurants are even more surprisingly good, offering great value with excellent ambience and service. The night we arrived, we explored the city a little, and ended up eating at one pizzaria, which was very expensive (a cup of soup costs 13 swiss francs). Compared to these, the meal at the hotel restaurants was a steal. We dined in La Duo, a French style cuisine. Oh my, the food was so good, the service so nice, and we all wondered why we ate in the pizzaria the night before. And we only spent about 30 francs per person with 2 courses (no alcohol). In comparison, the chicken fried rice in the street fair went for 11 francs!

very nosie , not clean , bad services

Hotel is located a couple of blocks up from the train station, making it convenient for the travelers coming and going to other destinations. The room was contemporary, updated, clean and quiet. We had three people staying in the room, and found it to be roomy enough to move around. I wish that breakfast was included, and not an additional 30 Swiss francs per person! To find a breakfast place, we had to walk several blocks. In the evening, the neighborhood feels a little less than comfortable, but there are people around so it's not unsafe.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and their staff is courteous. Excellent location. Food a little bit expensive for American standards.

We booked an Executive Suite to sleep 3 adults. The room was elegantly appointed but tight for 3 adults. The location is great. They had coupons for restaurants owned by the same parent company. That, plus the transport card (for intra-Geneva public transportation) were nice extras.

I don't think this was quite a 4-star hotel in terms of American standards - definitely 3. But for the price (being Geneva), it was acceptable. Breakfast was horridly expensive. Slightly noisy room with bad view. Shower had some moldy areas and no stand-up shower! Two beds pusehd together (must have been 10 years old too!). Room size was generous and overall clean. Staff was friendly and location was great. Very close to train station. I wouldn't normally pay what I did, but it's Geneva I guess.

Very friendly and professional staff. Lovely, specious room with a very nice bathroom. Comfortable and big bed. Great location - just 5 minutes walking distance from train station.

most cramped hotel room we had during our 2 weeks in Switzerland, France and Italy. For the price of the room one would expect the breakfast buffet to have been included, as it was everywhere else we stayed. On the plus side, the hotel is a short walk to the train station and to the lake. Free internet access as well.

We got a free upgrade to executive room, which was very nice. Breakfast was wonderful, and the service was excellent throughout. Excellent location with respect to station and city, although the neighborhood is not the nicest.

We enjoy walking the cities when we travel, and this location was perfect for that. We also traveled by train to different cities, and the proximity to the train station was perfect. We also recieved free tickets to use the city buses and a for a short lake tour. Very kind staff

Wow we were really fortunate to choose the Manotel Royal. Great central location near Cornavin. We had an 'executive suite' during the easter weeks (10 nights total). Our hotel room had large windows overlooking an internal courtyard. We were able to leave the windows open, as the weather was 21-23 C (70-74 F), even in April! We were not bothered by the railyard adjacent to the hotel, nor by the street traffic of Rue Lausanne. The hotel also gave us a free TPG bus/tram/train tickets for the duration of our stay - much more convenient and inexpensive than a car. There is a 5-10 minute walk to the lake and centrally located to everywhere in Geneva. The Room itself was very clean and quiet, and being a suite there was room to spread out on a sofa and table. I was also pleased because of the rate that I got from Orbitz. While rates fluctuate between peak seasons, our stay in Geneva was half or a third of comparable hotel prices that I have paid in London or New York.
