The reason I chose this hotel to stay is only that I come back to Montreux from Geneva area to drink with my friend, so I just need a bed to sleep. I have been at least to this hotel more than 6 times in 2 years because of the location and convenient parking, but this time was unacceptable. Imagine you woke up by construction noise on Saturday morning at 9:30AM, and nobody informed you when you check in. because they know, you will not choose to stay if you knew it, because nobody wants to wake up by construction noise on Saturday morning. So, I called the reception trying to figure out whats happening, and stop the noise. the person who pick up the phone and transferred to another person, asked me:"So sir legally Swiss people can work on Saturday, and what do you want? I can offer you free breakfast if you want but I cannot do anything more(IN VERY RUDE WAY)". I decided not to talk more, and go check out immediately, when I reached the reception, the front desk person include one who sits in the office(apparently, was the manager who were on the phone) looked at me while laughing like I am completely moron, and used 50CHF cash hand to my hand like spare to the homeless, said "I am sorry about that, this is the free parking we offer". Overall, this experience made me felt I stepped into a mafia house, you have to give your money out and shut your mouth or you get the out here. Very disappointed since I used to very liked this hotel a lot and good luck on your future business.
Those of you enchanted with Lake Geneva, such as myself, will be at a perfect place, ideally corner suite in the upper floors, because there are several roads as well as train line passing thru the town of Montreux, which is cascading from the base of the Lake up the hill. This was my second stay in town, so I knew the right angle and view of the Lake was absolutely the reason to visit, although the world famous Jazz Festival in town and Art Basel week in Basel could lead you over to this amazing natural splendor. Highly recommend the sunrise time with colors and birds singing in the early hours of the summer!
This Switzerland hotel was the most charming part of our vacation. I do not know where to start to explain how perfect our stay was. THE EUROTEL Hotel is a hotel in the city of Montreux, it’s in the center of the main strip. Where you can find all of the monuments, bars, restaurants and shops. The receptionis was so professional and knowledgeable about all of the accommodations she could provide us with. The hotel even granted us a FREE drink voucher for the restaurant nearby. The room was precious. It was renovated, clean, modern and filled with amazing views. The temperature of the hotel was always perfect and the smiles on all of the staffs faces were always so inviting. Breakfast was perfect every morning. The treatment was a 10 and we slept so comfortably every night. We look forward to returning to Switzerland and will most likely be staying with The EUROTEL Riviera again. Highly recommended to all couples, families and groups of friends. See you soon guys. And thank you again for everything!
We visited this hotel in July 2017. Easy check in. Comfortable stay with pleasant lake view. Breakfast was included in our package and there was lot of options available. You will get gluten free food as well on request. Overall it was nice experience. Train station or bus stop is also near and on walking distance.
The hotel is located very near the station and is a short bus ride to the Chillon Castle. The room was huge with an amazing view of the lake. Anna at the reception was very friendly and helpful and took care of our luggage as we arrived too early for check in. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stay this hotel for 2 nights! Nice hospitality and nice food for breakfast, also very good view in the riverside, and very good location for taking bus and train The purpose of this travel was visiting my school in Glion, and they gave us a room which has a nice view and I can directly see the school on the mountain The only bad part is that the hotel is under construction for cleaning the tube, there is a big tube in every level when go out the elevator. Highly recommended!
Nice Hotel, Nice View you can see Alpens Mountain, Lake an City with Privillage Room. But elevator is small. Close to Shopping Distric Area, Nice staff and vvery helpfull. You can get also free ticket for transportation.
Check in was efficient enough. We were allocated a room on the 14th floor, side views. The views were great in the morning, across lake Geneva & the mountains. Room was best described as mediocre. The bathroom was small with a dodgy lock. We were told to ring reception if we needed anything . We couldn't because the phone in the room didn't work ! Neither did the kettle in the room !! I went to reception to get some ice & I informed them of the items that didn't work, all I got in response was a grunt as my ice was being sought. The menu in the restaurant for dinner was all in French, so we had to get the waiter to translate it. Apparently the menu had changed & they was waiting to get them in a multilingual version. You would've thought that an establishment accommodating guests from a multitude of different nationalities would have a readable menu for those guests. The food was passable, as was breakfast. Prior to checking out we reported the faulty items again. A manager came to the room with us & established for himself that they were inoperative. He asked if we needed a kettle, but we didn't as we had already had tea/coffee with breakfast. Not withstanding that we had hoped to have our morning drinks on the balcony to enjoy the scenery whilst doing so. As we checked out he informed us that due to the fact we had booked through an agency, he couldn't reduce the amount of the bill by way of recompense, but offered us drinks from the bar or a bottle of wine. We declined his offer as we were on our homeward journey. We were disappointed overall with our stay there, and would not recommend it nor return to it ourselves ( even if it was free )
Nothing beats the view From this hotel. We took a corner suite on a high floor, one of their better rooms. It began badly with access to the hotel cut off due to a carnival. A phone call or email to let us know would have been polite. We had to check in without our luggage and our car parked miles away. The young man who served us was dismissive and unhelpful. The room needed a total renovation as do the lifts. Two people and one bag and they were full. Manual doors and a heavy one to open when you reach your floor. The room was clean but very below what you would expect for the cost. Old, dated and the bathroom very user unfriendly. Shower over the bath so care needed with access. Parking a nightmare with “reserved” ignored by other patrons and no guarantee of a spot. Stairs to all areas so not wheel friendly for prams or bags. Location very good with train station nearby and shops and restaurants outside. The bar area friendly and relaxed. But wouldn’t stay here again.
A nice and pleasant stay from the beginning. We booked a classic double for our stay in Switzerland and when we arrived to the hotel, we were informed that our room has been upgraded to privilege. The room was very spacious and clean including a balcony and window overlooking lake Geneva and the mountains. A spectacular view!! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect at a walking distance from the bus stop and train station which was very convenient for us since we had to use the train on a daily basis. I totally recommend to book this hotel.
