We returned to this great hotel for the same fourteen night period as we did last year and the hotel reached the same high standards it met last year. The breakfast buffet had a good choice of food with fresh fruit, a choice of breads and cold meats and cheese, with hot food if required. The day starts extremely well with a glass of Prosecco and a choice of coffee. The rooms were clean and kept very well, serviced every day and the staff very friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening but the food we had at lunchtime was well cooked and very tasty. The pool though a little small was well maintained and the area around it had a good number of sun beds and umbrellas. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a great base in a super resort for the opportunity to explore this wonderful region of Italy.

This hotel was part of a two centre holiday . When we arrived early our room was not quite ready ( not their fault) but wasn't offered a coffee whilst we waited for an hour . The room was a superior room but quiet small ( No pictures , lack of coat hangers and no drawers! , small bathroom and very beige with a plain concrete balcony and a view of a derelict building opposite. The fresh linen and cleanliness was superb. The staff I felt were a little reserved but answered our questions if asked. Wouldn't say it was a friendliest hotel . The location was lovely with a stones throw from the beach and lots of nearby restaurants. We had half board and even thought the food is of the highest standard it could be very slow . One evening it took 2 1/2 hrs for Bread and two courses and got fed up of waiting for our dessert order to be taken and so walked away from the table in discussed, they were busy but one of the waitresses was clearing tables around us. We had words with our Rep from 'inghams' and from then on we got the standard of service we expected from a 4 * Michelin restaurant. The breakfast was a good choice but again I would have liked to been served my tea or coffee and egg choices could have been free. The information was freely available in the form of leaflets and the bike hire was ok . A pleasant stay in a boutique hotel, but it's not for me.

Plain and simple, you gotta stay here. It's clean, tidy, excellent staff can't do enough for you. The food us excellent. The breakfast to die for. The good in the restaurant unreal but might want to think again about desserts... Apart from that superb!! This was our second stay.

Just home after spending a fantastic week here for our 30th wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. We were on a B&B basis and could not fault it at all. A great selection of food no matter what time you went down. All the staff were brilliant, very friendly and courteous. The rooms were spotless and the maids usually came back in the evening. The Villa Rose is very close to great restaurants, shops and the ferry. We hope to return to the Villa Rose some day.

Lovely hotel prefect location .i loved this hotel ,classy decor with lots of little finishing touches.Room was spacious lovely comfy bed a small niggle would be lack of bedside drawers and a mirror over the desk would be good but these things in no way take away from the hotels great facilities the ironing room, salon hairdryer if needed .Good breakfast lots of choice.nice pool with jacuzzi and really comfy sun beds ,all in all a great hotel ,would definitely stay again

Stayed in Villa Rosa for a week, very pleased with our choice. Hotel was a short walk beside the lake to centre and opposite "beach" area. Breakfast was good with two outside areas to sit. Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff friendly. No complaints at all.

Stayed at the hotel for six nights and was very pleased with it. Lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. Good bar with outside seating. A short walk from the main town close to restaurants and boats. All round an enjoyable stay.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 week. The staff were so friendly, pleasant and professional. The cleanliness of the hotel was first class. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the dining room and had lunch twice at the pool bar both very good. The pool was small but had salt water which was great. Free wi-fi was available in all areas of the hotel and was more than satisfactory. The hotel is located close to a train station hub which allowed a visit to Venice and Milan - very efficient train systems. Really enjoyed our stay in the Villa Rosa .

Cannot praise this hotel enough. We spent a wonderful ten days there in July. The staff from the reception to the chamber maids were so efficient and friendly. The food is excellent. The location is very good. Would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel. Well done Villa Rosa.

We stayed here for four very pleasant nights in July. We paid for the cheapest level room and it was perfectly great. Well appointed, nicely air conditioned and a little balcony overlooking the road to the side of the hotel which was perfectly fine to sit and have a cold beer on (which we bought for very cheap from the little shop just a few yards down the road). Plenty of shade and loungers at the pool which was never too busy. And best of all was the superb breakfast. Loads of choice and high quality food and drink - with options to sit inside, outside or in a conservatory. Desenzano itself we found was a fantastic place to base ourselves for exploring the Lake. Short walk to the boats and we travelled here with ease from Verona on the train. The walk from the train station to the hotel was about 20-25mins.
