Stay for a week with my wife and 16 years old daughter in a triple room. Location of this hotel is really excellent, but other than that it was really disappointing... Room was spacious but missing furniture such as bench and hanging in bathroom. Solvent for the dishes was not to be found (which we were told that we can purchase in a nearby supermarket). We experienced some electricity problems which were solved by the staff, but insinuating that we caused the problems. Staff was somehow not very welcoming... Can't say I recommend it...
Lake Garda has alot to offer. This hotel has apartments that are adequate for up to 4 people. It is also possible to buy the buffet breakfast that turned out to be excellent for everyone, from age 4 to 74. There are two pool areas, and we used the one on the "backside" of the hotel. The water temperature was warm enough for our youngest kids to swim and play all day. The pool was open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with lifeguard on duty. There were, however, several restrictions in the pool area that didn't suit our taste. One of them was that no ball playing or water mattresses were allowed in the pool. Another one was that no noise was allowed in the pool area from around 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., perhaps in order to let guests have a siesta. The third item was that the pool was locked off after 9 p.m., which prevented us from having an evening swim after dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. On a more positive note, I'd like to mention that the people working at the reception desk did what they could to help us book seating at restaurants and to obtain information on sites in the region. Oh yes, the wifi system worked best in and around the reception.
We enjoyed a three-day stay and lived in the "annex" with a very familiy-friendly pool. If you walk just across the street you can go the main pool as well. The apartments were nice, but the interior could need some "upgrading" as they are starting to look aged. There are som friendly but very strict Life Guards by the pool that strictly uphold the many pool rules including: no floats, no ballplay, no noise between 13:30 and 15:30 (!!) and you can only swim until 19:00 (what!!!!) Very nice breakfast is served. There is no wifi outside the reception area! This is an extremely outdated level of service.
We spent a week in the middle of October, which is not the perfect season for this hotel, since you can not realy use the terrace and the pool, We choise a 1 bedroom apartment for a family of 5 but the price is not cheap and they give a tiny appartment with a tiny kitchen, no kettle (they gave us one after we asked), no diswasher, no laundry machine. I assume that they have larger and more accessorized apartments which cost a lot more, but still, I felt a little dissapointed....
So when we arrived at the hotel, the room wasn't cleaned, no towels to refresh after a long travel. But that would have been ok if only someone wouldn't have broke into our room while sleeping and steal all our money -5000$. When we talked to the owner of the hotel he couldn’t care less and did not even looked surprised, like this kind of stuff happen all the time. They don’t even have security and were very rude in our distress. I would suggest anyone to come to this hotel ever.
The hotel is nice but the staff is outrageous. Our room has been broken into but no one seemed surprised or care. They seemed rather accustomed. We insisted on calling the police and they reluctantly helped us with that The accommodation is rather modest, somewhere between a hotel and youth accommodation. For that price I think there are better alternatives. Location is good, but again, no night life around
We slept here with a group and also had some diner here. I understand they only do diner for groups. Well they diner was oke but not great. The beds were great, the room.... we slept in a apartment and I did not have a 4 star feeling. Bit the swimming pool maken it all better. That's a holiday feeling, in the pool with a Aprolsprits.
There are not cleanning the rooms every day during the stay and the Receptionists are not welcoming, freendly and helpful at all. in addition, the room not incude all the facilities that were promised in the web site and in the hotel
We loved staying at this apart-hotel for 5 nights during August. The best selling points are the location and the friendly staff/management always greeting us with a smile and giving advice on places to visit. The apartment is a good size and clean but basic however this was enough for us as we wanted to cater for ourselves. We were lucky enough to be allocated a lake view and pool view room. The pool area is very clean and well maintained - pool itself was a good size. We did have breakfast at the hotel on the first morning but I think at £10/head, it is a bit dear for the variety offered. If you plan to stay in Padenghe you need a car to get around as everything is quite far to walk to apart from the lake scenery which is about 300 metres away. PLEASE consider renting a car from the airport as it will be much cheaper than getting at the hotel. Recommend Salo for an afternoon visit- picture perfect place to see, the Castello Di Padenghe for a view of all of the lake from above the hills- beautiful scenery A MUST and Verona for a bit of history....All in all, a lovely break with plenty sunshine and we will definitely return.
We stayed here as a family of 5 in one of their "luxury" apartments for 2 nights. The apartment was basic and the toilet broke on the evening of the first night and couldn't be fixed until the following morning. At 250 Euros per night I felt some sort of refund was fair. They cancelled our 18 Euros drinks bill. The pool was very good and the breakfast was good but at 10 Euros per head debatable value for money. It was included in our deal thankfully. I realise that Lake Garda is expensive in August at high season but our 2 star hotel in Como was much better value and our apartment near Venice was cheaper and had better facilities although no pool. I feel they are living off the very nice pool facility with poor accomodation.
