This has been a wonderful holiday, and with so much to choose from in Italy, one that we will definitely retun to. The hotel is wonderful (don't be put off by the utilitarian frontage), and very spacious. The pool overlooks the lake and it was a pleasure to swim in both. The rooms (in our case, on the fourth floor) were very spacious with a large and stylish bathroom. The garden allows you to retreat from the sun, if you need to. One of the best features of the hotel is the wonderful staff. They are all friendly, efficient and multi lingual. Two that stood out for us were Lydia and Amzar (?), and although we don't drink, the wine waiter was good fun. This is a relaxing type of holiday, so not for you if you want to rush around. A pleasant walk from the hotel to the town (shops and ferry) and a bus stop outside the hotel if you want to be a bit adventurous. All in all a wonderful hotel, and we will be back.
We are on our second visit, having come last year and enjoyed it so much. The hotel has a lovely friendly feel, many of the staff are still the same as last year and are very welcoming. The food is great at lunchtime and evenings and the continental breakfast is very good- cooked breakfast not so good. The hotel is right in the lake so views are fantastic and swimming is both in the pool and in lake itself- jumping in from the hotel wall has been a "must do daily" thing- the lake water is clean, clear and warm. Just a short stroll to Salo , with lots of great places to eat and drink , watching the boats go by. Thoroughly recommend Salo and the Hotel Du Park.
We have just got back from an 11 night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are very helpful and efficient at their jobs, they all take great pride in what they are doing and it shows, the whole hotel is lively and clean. The hotel is situated just a very short walk to the centre of Salo and its wonderful promenade. The food (we were half board) was mostly wonderful, especially the pastas, the risottos and the sweets, there were a couple of mains that I did not enjoy too much but some of that was down to my own personal tastes, and although there were vegetarian options they were not that imaginative, however overall the food was very good and we certainly didn't go hungry. We will definitely be returning.
Spent nine nights on holiday at Salo du Parc Hotel. Great hotel in a super location right on the lakeside and a short walk to the main town of Salo. Couldn't fault our stay in any way. Room on fifth floor was clean and spacious with a large terrace and lake & pool view. Pool and gardens were immaculately kept and the pool and deck were never over crowded at any time during our stay, always plenty of loungers available. Pool towels available from reception each day. Breakfast was varied and again not too busy each morning. Limited Car parking at hotel which we used for most of our stay but there is a car park just across the road at a slightly cheaper rate. We found all the staff to be friendly and attentive at all times. Overall a very enjoyable holiday, really glad we chose Salo and this hotel for our stay at Lake Garda.
What an absolutely beautiful hotel this is, staff are very helpful and friendly, polite, stunning views of lake Garda. Are available from all rooms, maid service is excellent we will definitely be returning 😀👍
We had a spacious room on the fourth floor with a huge balcony and modern shower room. The views across the lake were wonderful. The Hotel is quiet but close to the heart of Salo. There is a lovely garden, giving shade and sun as you want with loads of sunbeds and a bar area. The pool is a good size and spotlessly clean and there is easy access to swim in the lake if you fancy it. The food is exquisite. Breakfast has loads of choice including piles of fresh fruit and dinner is superb. The staff are helpful and friendly. All in all a wonderful restful week in the sun.
This is a nice hotel on a fantastic location on the lakeside. Breakfast buffet is very good and served in the garden. There are only a few parking spots but the hotel has an agreement with the parking in front of the hotel. Parking at 12€ a day. Friendly staff. We had a very big room with terrace on the 5th floor which was a little outdated (old furniture,...). By elevator you get only up to the 4th floor. Light lunch available. Beautiful garden and pool. Wifi very poor.
This is an ideal location for a family hotel. Its extensive gardens, pool and proximity to the lake make it an attractive venue for families with children. The accommodation is in keeping with its four star rating and the dining and bar facilities are very good. We stayed for ten nights on a half-board basis and we found all the menus inventive, interesting, well prepared, excellently presented and served by friendly and skilled staff. The main drawback from our point of view is that although the hotel is very close to the promenade and old town of Salo, there is a very steep climb back to the hotel which makes it difficult for elderly and disabled people, such as me.
Super location, nearby the old city of Salò very nice hotel and friendly staff, beautiful and big rooms A lot of people come without children and are fond of their peace. Therefore it's not really the best place for families with teenagers.
We recently stayed in this hotel for seven nights as part of a two centre holiday. On arrival the front of the hotel is not that impressive located as it is in a small road just off the main road with tight car parking all along the frontage. Having checked in we found our room on the first floor ( you have to go down one level to get to the first floor ) to be a good size with a large balcony overlooking the gardens with a great view of the lake which at the most was only fifty meters away. Our room as with all areas of the hotel was well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities a good standard of furniture and immaculate gardens the boundary of which is right on the lake so you can swim in the lake directly from the hotels small boat mooring area. Metal steps allow relatively easy access to the water. The hotel pool was a reasonable size and warm enough to make getting in not to much of a trial. The garden area, which is not that big was very well kept with full marks going to the gardener/handyman for keeping everything in such good order. The pool area contained a good quantity of sun beds, parasols and outdoor furniture all of a good standard with quite a large area on grass in the shade of large Magnolia trees. This area also contained sun beds so a place to relax was always available without having to search for a space. The restaurant area is located on the ground floor at lake level ( two floors down from reception ) and is open fronted with dining on the terrace or inside as the weather dictates. The food at dinner was of a good standard and comprised of four smaller courses the first of which was salad bar buffet style and the remainder as waiter service. Breakfast was limited but adequate with items such as omelette available at an extra charge. The restaurant staff were all very obliging as were the housekeeping staff, the reception staff ? All in all this is a very well run hotel but with a few oddities for a four star such as no trouser hangers in the wardrobe (only shirt hangers ) and these still not available after request, only one pool towel per person allocated for the weeks stay and having to wait a while for hot water to arrive at the tap. We would have have no hesitation in returning to this hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The location close to the town and next to the lake is its biggest asset.
