Fairly cheap hotel, very central location, descent level of service, old and used but it works considering the price so for a one night layover it is very good - they speak english if needed. Parking just across the hotel (cost 1,6 EUR ) from 0800-2000 - during night parking is free
We only spent 1 night here, but if we had more time I would have preferred to stay somewhere else. The room was very underwhelming, no fan or a/c of course, but opening the windows to our room was the "garden" so of course just the smokers area so all the smoke came in our room, disgusting. That room should be for smokers only, give non-smokers a room to not just take in second hand all night, especially when it is too hot to sleep with the windows closed. Breakfast was just fine, plenty of options and easy enough.
This is not a 3 star hotel. It is a hostel. There was no one there when we arrived and the wifi did not work until the following day. There was a building site across the road. The location was good and the breakfast were good too.
No five star hotel but it serves the purpose! Very basic but affordable. Friendly. Value for money in very expensive area. Walking distance from bars and restaurants. Public Parking available in area.
Good location, friendly staff, cozy room, good breakfast. The hotel is located in the center, all the sights in walking distance, near the grocery store. The hotel left a pleasant impression. The hotel staff always helps in all matters.
Great hotel right in the heart of Lindau. Free parking, and we were able to walk everywhere easily. The staff was very welcoming, even giving free water & beer. 5 of us stayed in 1 large room and it was a great value. Good breakfast also.
To be honest, my opinion will contradict with many other reviews of the same place. We might have been just visiting the hotel at too busy peek season. Maybe if you get a different room you have a different experience. Overall the location is the plus side of the hotel. Very well centrally located in the old town in the island of Lindau. Parking is available however not on site but a 5 minutes drive away. Still, that part is convenient. We have booked the big family room which was the last one available during this peek season time. This room however seemed that it wasn't used for quite some time. It was basically very dirty inside. You could see that the minimum cleaning was maintained in the major areas of the rooms however for example behind the curtain there were dozens of huge spiders and other bugs. Also the sheets were clean but underneath the cover of the beds themselves were in a condition that we did not want to touch them. At least the shower was ok but overall from a 3 star place I would expect higher maintained cleaning in Germany. The breakfast itself was nice and rich, no problem with that. The first negative experience was the fact that this place was non-cancellable and non-refundable. This is a very strict cancellation policy but I understand there is a high demand in the area in summer so they can do that. When we arrived however the manager (owner?) was very aggressively immediately trying to convince us to cancel the second night but he wanted to sell us the first night for a higher price then the original. It was very weird. At the end he agreed to have the normal price but after seeing the room we agreed to cancel the second night. However he did not accept to cancel the first night. The reason must have had that he had someone asking for a longer period from the second night of ours. This was and the whole communication very weird and strange and we did not feel comfortable at all. We were very happy to leave at the end as the night with those huge spiders and bugs were terrible in the room. Perhaps a double room that is used frequently might be better but this family room is a no-go in my opinion.
Seerose was a good option for us for an overnight stay for our family. Their four-bed room had a sofa for our kids and a queen bed for us in a separate room. It's not a fancy hotel, but it was clean, functional, and comfortable enough. The breakfast was good. WiFi worked well. The hotel is in a good location, a short taxi ride from the train station, probably walking distance for some. It is not a luxurious hotel, but I feel it was a good value for the price, and it served our purpose.
Great Location in Lindau Island! We were warmly greeted at reception and received some great tipps around the area to see and fine Restaurants recommendations! The room was very large and had modern furniture. Breakfast was great with some homemade marmalades!
We overnighted here. Excellent price for a family 'room' - two actually, a mini suite of sorts in the basement, including breakfast. Comfy beds, clean, good shower. Paintwork start to want a bit of a refresh, but no worries at this price. Breakfast was good and varied. Very well located for the old town. We had just two issues; guidance about parking needs updating as the car park opposite is being turned into a conference centre; the main public car park is a bit away and costs €6.60 for overnight. Second; our room suffered a bit from the sound of plumbing (when others flushed their toilets)
