The room was very comfortable. We had a good nights rest, ate from the continental breakfast before getting on the road again.

Hotel was ok for a one night stay for a place to sleep. When we pulled into the parking lot the police were escorting an intoxicated man off the property.

Wasnt bad but could Def had been better. Cleanliness was main concern for us and lock on door was broken.

Not great; not terrible. More than likely, will not stay again.

Enjoyed the experience and the stay. The hotel was at good location

My friend and I booked the hotel for two nights and were rudely awoke our first morning there by drilling and hammering in the room next to ours. When we called the front desk the owner didn't seem to care. The light in our bathroom did not work and it smelled very strongly of urine. We switched rooms and the other wasn't much better. I them got home and unpacked and realized my fake diamond ring was missing from my luggage. Good luck with that one guys! I don't recommend staying here at all. A gutter would probably be better.

My room was very clean and comfortable, I would stay again.

Convenient, Good price. Nice pool. Enjoyed our stay.

Although nothing special, I have no complaints about my stay. Decent price decent room.

We were looking for a very quick stop-over in Lake Charles and were only planning to sleep there for a few hours before heading home. You get what you pay for, and we knew not to expect too much. Cons: The hotel is old and has all exterior entry doors (and therefore there are cameras everywhere), and the bathroom had a very strong curry smell coming from the vents. The breakfast area for the included breakfast (which we didn't eat) was two small dinette tables in front of the lobby desk, and it looked like there were plastic containers for muffins, etc. The pillows are terrible -- they are so fluffy and "tall" -- but that may be a personal preference. Pros: The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean. There was one hair in a bedsheet, but that wasn't a big deal. The room had a coffee pot, which many upper-end hotels are skipping out on these days. The front desk woman was very nice. And they've updated the rooms with flat-screen TVs.

This hotel is in a bad location. There were people yelling outside all night. We had our two grandkids with us and was afraid to walk around outside. When we started to check out on Sunday morning the office was not open so there was no breakfast. I the price it was not worth it.

The Staff are friendly. But A Cockroach The size of my thumb fell from the ceiling right before I went to bed. Needless to say going to sleep was not easy.

Carpet was very dirty and made my socks and feet black. Very convenient place to stay, and on the edge of the downtown.

Everything at the hotel was as advertised and was a good value for the money, however, the jelly at the breakfast bar was either very old or had frozen during the recent cold weather because it was as hard as a rock.

When I first arrived at the hotel, I noticed that the lobby area was dimly lit (which became a great concern for me). No staff was immediately available to check me in; however, when I did get someone, they were quite friendly and accomodating. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, but I would have preferred to find a little more coffee preparing products in the room. A free continental breakfast was served, which was great, but incomplete with the products needed to prepare the food I desired. Ex: There was cereal, but no milk/grits, but no butter packs, etc. There was also bruised or "old" fruit. I bit into an apple that was red on the outside, but brown on the inside. That let me know that it may have been there for too long, which was quite disappointing. With the exception of the continental breakfast, I was pleased with the experience overall.

The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. My stay was very restful and relaxing. The hotel is located in an unlit neighborhood, but the property itself is well-lighted.

the hotel is remodeling its rooms and will be even better in the near future. I will stay there again when go back

I just need a place to stay to say goodbye to my son before he went to war and this worked perfect for me. Nothing real fancy, but I wasn't looking for fancy. I was looking for value and found it.

This hotel is great for trips to the casino. Clean, nice, and inexpensive.

The Howard Johnson in Lake Charles is well worth the price! Centrally located downtown on Broad St., the motel is perfect for those interested in visiting Lake Charles and its casinos.
