The rooms smelt of damp and were unclean, the wifi did not work in the rooms, the food was terrible and the reception staff were unhelpful. My complaints were ignored. Possibly the worst hotel stay I have ever had - avoid!
i had to change my room thrice first one Bathroom fittings were not working second one Airconditoner was not working and finally with no option to change further room lock was not working and each time i needed someone from reception with master key to get inside my room I think they are undergoing some renovation however service was equally poor i went to this hotel anticipating sofitel standards it way too far from sofitel standards though they are having sofitel tie up. Still i would appreciate the efforts and gesture of hotel manger Miss Angela who was quite helpful
The hotel location is fine but having moved here from Sun Federal Palace hotel for logistics reasons and with both hotels costing about the same they are miles apart for everything else. I cannot fault the staff, they try but even then I reported a slow running sink in the bathroom and it was never fixed in the 2 days I spent here. I am a tea drinker and they left me the glorious amount of 1 teabag and 2 sachets of sugar and to top it off the kettle leaked. I could not even plug in the kettle without pulling the curtains slightly open due to the location of the socket. The breakfast was not very good, the first day we thought we were a bit late but even getting there much earlier the following day we concluded it is just very disappointing. I have now stayed in 3 hotels in lagos and this was the most disappointing. The car park is pretty small but they managed to cope, the hotel wasn't very full when we were there. The hotel is also pretty dated especially in the hallways etc. with patches and stains on the ceiling. The rooms are however very clean, I would have left otherwise. Unfortunately I will not be going back, there are many better alternatives in lagos around the same location and price range.
Staff and food are great- Smiling and helpful front office- Chef always around at restaurant and bar/ rooms are clean but the hotel needs a total refurbishment! You might be losing guests due to not updating your property like other boutique hotels in Lagos
Organised and professional service rendered, neat uniform and smiling faces, tasty breakfast in restaurant and nice meals. Wi-Fi improved since last time. Cool pool and gym for resting.i also bought African paintings art work at the boutique and my colleague loves it. See you soon on my next trip to Lagos
Stayed at few days. Room was quite comfortable, clean and quiet. The room, however, was "not large". Air conditioning was on and off / intermittent. Food in restaurant was quite good. Parking available. Note: visit was before 2015.12
The hotel is very nice, very good service with nice and courteous staff. The room is also clean and tidy. Overall experience, I will say wonderful. I am certainly going to use this hotel the next time I visit Lagos
I breezed into this hotel from a long day trip to the Lagos East end and was amazed with the high level of professionalism of the reception staff; equally delighted by the cool and calm ambience of the hotel; its serenity, palatial look and high sense of safety and security. Nice, clean environment; very courteous staff
I like the Moorehouse a lot. I have already given it a very favorable review on TripAdvisor, but this is a message to the management, and I hope they take it into consideration. The hotel has a major plumbing problem, when you open any water tab in the bathroom, red rusty water comes down for a few minutes before the water, presumably and hopefully, clears up. What's worse is that there is a complete absence of cold water! both tabs are hot! In a place where the outside temperature is almost constantly 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit), fresh water is a requirement! I frankly had an outbreak of pimples on my face because of this, I think. As I hardly washed my face during my 4 days stay in dusty and over polluted Lagos. Red rusty hot water does not invite you when you come in from hot humid exteriors. As far as I am concerned, this is becoming a deal breaker, and I may give up staying at the Moorehouse because of it. I understand it's Lagos, but I hope you will be able to do something about it.
What the life of me is this? The restaurant does not allow u drop/swap item attached to ur meal even with ur allegies, what a chef. The hotel looks good on d outside but inside is another story. Feathers falling out of d pillows.
