Was in town for a wedding and the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and beds were comfortable
The hotel was fine but this area of La Porte lacked any closeby restaurants. A taxi ride or Pizza/Chinese delivered were our only options. The ride to the cruise port was priced higher than the hotel had previously told us so get a firm price prior to boarding SUV shuttle service. I would stay in Houston the next time and ride to the cruise port the day of the cruise.
Very friendly front desk at check in. My room is on the second floor right above the entrance of the hotel. Therefore, outside is extremely bright and the light shining through the drapery. I had a hard time sleep that night. Everything else is fine.
Not one negative comment. Very nice, perfect place to stay if going to Kemah. Would stay again!!!
we could not get into the assigned room, the door did not unlock. the next room was not cleaned, we were assigned finally to another room that was very stuffy. Then we had to leave before 24hrs, my husband got ill, no consideration to make-up lost day

The hotel was nice, but the third night I woke up and found a few tiny bugs in the bed. Very disgusting. I told the clerk and she said sorry, that is it.

Dear Anonymous You have absolutely made our day by awarding us 5 out of 5. Such great news to here that you took our friendly staff recommendation. Sylvan Beach boasts fine sand, no seaweed covering the beach, and smaller waves for more enjoyable swimming. Also contains not only a playground for children, but clean benches and picnic tables, a fishing pier, boat ramp, and an air-conditioned pavilion. Bring a picnic for lunch and spend the whole day at the beach. Its convenient location which is only 5 minutes away from the hotel attracts a lot of visitor’s.
