Rooms are comfortable with great showers, however, we booked a deluxe room and unfortunately it was nothing like the photos or the description on the hotels own website. We arrived at 2 in the morning so had no time to question the room we had booked until the following morning. We queried whether it was a deluxe room (which is what we had booked) and the answer was yes however it was one of their smaller rooms without all the amenities described in their description of these room types (in the staffs own words). There was no offer to give us a deluxe room actually meeting the description or to give us a partial refund for the mis-representation. This was very disappointing as it could have been such a different experience. All in all the rooms are nice but hugely overpriced if you do not get what you actually book.
I stayed at Selina for 2 nights with 2 friends. Our dorm & private shower room were clean and comfortable. The hostel had good facilities including a cafe & restaurant, the internet was fast and the staff were helpful Would definitely recommend
We stayed in several Selina Hostels. They are all super good, but the "Selina Hostel La Paz" was the best. Super friendly staff and amazing interior design. If you come to La Paz you have to stay at "Selina La Paz"
We stayed for a week in one of the deluxe rooms. The room was SUPER clean and everything seemed completly new! The staff was truly helpful and super kind! We had a wonderful time at the Hotel! I would totally recommend it! The experience manager was incredibly helpful and gave us the best tips to get around the city!
Two of my friends and I stayed one night - upon checking in and going up to the room we thought there was a mistake with our booking as the room looked completely different from the images shown. When queried downstairs, staff claimed that the images were old. This is very misleading and we would not have booked for the price or layout had we known. We let that go. At 5am in the morning 2 men unlocked our door and walked in while we were sleeping. Staff had given them a key to our room in error. When we complained at check out, staff member at the front desk claimed it was her partner that would have done that and was rather disinterested. The hostel need to work out a better system to ensure this never happens again. At the very minimum, you should be able to feel safe in your own room and not have strangers walk in. This is particularly concerning for personal safety as we are 3 females. I am absolutely disgusted at the service and treatment we received.
We got a private room in this hotel and was really impressed! Super comfortable bed and room, I liked the decor and the design it had a really nice feel. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating! Hotel is really close the witches markets and heaps of attractions in La Paz!
This is my second time staying at Selina la Paz. Everything is super nice, clean and modern. Big bonus is the communal kitchen with multiple hobs, Netflix room and chill out areas. The bedrooms are great, I stayed in both a 10 bed dorm & 6 bed dorm- all beds have privacy curtains, nightlight, charger points and extra blankets! Only downside is check in is from 3pm which is later than others but I believe this is a Selina wide practice!? What really stood out for me was the service of the staff, they went above and beyond especially when i had credit card difficulties , they were super accommodating and lovely to deal with it. Shoutout to Natalia and Paula at reception!!! Would stay here again, also the area is the 'good part of La Paz'!
We had a great stay here for 2 nights and decided to add another 2. Really cool interior with lots of great spaces. Very comfortable beds. The bar downstairs has is nice and they have tasty hamburgers.
The rooms are nice and clean. Good beds, lovely curtains around the beds for some privacy. The services of the hostel are not so great. Breakfast should be served from 07.00, but we couldn’t order until 08.00 -while our tour was departing at 08.00. They don’t offer any tours and even asking for a bill is difficult. It felt like they weren’t ready to open yet. Besides that: everything looks great and the location is fine.
Selina is a hostel at the heart of La Paz. Both the rooms and the common spaces are new, stylish and spotless. I couldn’t recommend any other hostel to stay in La Paz. The price is really good for what you get. Staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant downstairs is pretty good as well!
