This hotel is located in the heart of the old section of town, minutes from all the major sites; the cathedral could be viewed from our hotel room. Everything was within walking distance. The room was lovely, and the staff very helpful. We had an early morning flight (before the hotel breakfast), so they packed us a breakfast to go. Recommended great restaurants during our stay, so helpful on so many levels.

A little gem of an hotel, 100m at most from the cathedral, absolutely ideal if you're a weary pilgrim finishing your walk, although real pilgrims probably shouldn't be availing of luxurious accomodation such as this. Excellent friendly staff, both in restaurant and reception. Our room was a little dark without a view, but it's location made it worthwhile. We could hear absolutely no street noise but friends staying in room 101 suffered pretty badly from the street noise. Santiago is a busy bustling city centre so night noise is inevitable. Breakfast area was compact, split over 2 levels, cold breakfast only, staff very helpful. Fabulous location, right beside the cathedral, lots of restaurants and cafe bars right on the doorstep, and the main shopping streets are only a couple of minutes walk away. If you're arriving by bus you will have a bit of awalk to the hotel, although you can get a taxi almost to the door.

The location of this hotel cannot be beaten, located in the old town, surrounded by the narrow streets filled with bars and restaurants and only a few minutes walk from the cathedral. It's modern, chic, nice staff, good Spanish breakfast and I would return.

Nothing to complain about. Cute, clean, modern, fresh remodel. Location was close to all old town items and 20min walk to train and 30min walk to bus. Friendly helpful staff. Good coffee. These are not big rooms or bath rooms, but great for a 3 day stay. Keep up the good work.

This is new, beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect city Centre location BUT do believe the information on the hotel site that you will need to park about 10 minutes away and walk with your luggage to the hotel. You cannot bring a car anywhere near the hotel so it is important to understand that this walk from parking to the hotel is a necessity. Having been warned about the walk, the hotel itself is amazing with small but very modern and beautiful rooms, friendly staff that speak English and a bar in a fascinating original building. The location could not be better as it is right in the old town and only steps to the Cathedral, restaurants, shops and heritage buildings. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed two nights in a superior room. Very nice room with the white " fisherman's balcony". The first night all was ok until about 3 am when loud rock music started blaring from a pub near the hotel. Apparently this was unusual for mid- week as the students were back in school and celebrating. Music stopped at 4 am but then drunk students singing and talking as they made their way slowly home. The staff was apologetic and moved us the next day to another smaller room facing away from the street. They sent up an after dinner drink and "Santiago cake" as a gesture. They were very kind. This was something they have no control over but made every effort to help us.

Perfect location for exploring. Small boutique hotel. The rooms are small. The wifi was slow. It was very clean with a very helpful nice staff. We had problems with bad street noise at 3AM with loud club music and drunks spilling into the street until 4AM. They changed our room for the next night. Something to think about, when checking in. The breakfasts were weak.

Good room but very small bathroom. Excelent location close to the Cathedral but very silent. Hotel has no parking since it is located in a pedestrian area although one can ask for temporary access to unload. Breakfast is good.

Our visit to Santiago de Compostela was wonderful! It was made even better by our stay at the boutique hotel of Carris Casa de Troya. The best feauture is the location, in the heart of Old Town and so close to the Cathedral and other historic places. The hotel itself has a modern feel, the room was very comfortable with a spacious and clean bathroom. The bed was comfortable and had good a/c. It also had a minibar, which helped keep our water and wine cool!! It has free Wifi, but at times it would drop connection due to the fact that they are in a historic area. The breakfast was very good, with great coffee (café con leche, expresso, capuccino, etc.). The staff is very helpful from helping with directions to giving suggestions for restaurants, etc. We had great dinners (tapas and raciones) at El Papatorio and the restaurant right across from the hotel Birzo Enxebre, where we were entertained by a group of musicians playing beautiful music as they were dining at the same time!! There is no shortage of great reaturants and bars. We arrived to the Compostela bus station from Portugal and then took a taxi to the hotel (just 6 euros). We stayed 3 nights/2 days and left on a very early morning flight to Barcelona, and we took a taxi for 21 euros, which worked out just perfect. Our stay in Compostela and at Carris Casa de Troya was ideal! Highly recommend it!

The hotel looked interesting but seeing it in person was amazing. Ultra modern rooms with very spacious shower and vanity in the bathroom. The bed was a bit stiff but we were so tired that it didn't matter. Staff was super helpful and polite and the in house breakfast went out of its way to have different and interesting choices, such as antioxidant juices and lots of fresh fruit. Very quiet! Didn't hear another guest despite hotel being full. Windows were easy to open and cathedral bells were very apparent. Our room on the second floor opened on an alley and sometimes the odor of fried food next door was a bit strong but nothing closing the windows didn't end. Wifi was free but often dropped the connection intermittently The best feature is the location right in the heart of Old Town and literally 150 yards from the Cathedral. We will stay here again gladly.
