I enjoyed my recent stay at the Beauregard Hotel very much. My bedroom was a particularly pleasant room with superb views over the Alps. The service at the hotel was very good i look forward very much to staying there again in 2018
So here are the good things. I think hotel was renovated in 2011-ish, so it's in acceptable condition. Staff is rather attentive and they have huge pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The problem is with the restraint. First, they tried to charge us breakfast, despite the fact that I did not ask for it. Second, we ordered ham pasta for our kid and ham was obviously spoiled and tasted sour. Dessert and cheese buffet was included with the course. Fruit salad was well past the expiration day and was spoiled and very sour. Same goes for weathered cheese that was rather old and obviously just was sitting there all day long. Also our dishes for the main course were rather small. So yes, an ok hotel, but eat elsewhere. Real disappointment for a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is a good choice. parking is ample - inside and outside. The reception is great, service in restaurant and bar is friendly. The facilities are great too - very nice pool , spacious bar and restaurant. Location-wise, it is close to the cable car and the village main street. The room we had was rather small and warm/stuffy, the bed somewhat small. The restaurant offered a really good dinner menu at an excellent price. Breakfast had ample choice.
A delightful wooden alpine hotel set in a picturesque village. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a real surprise. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious and the choice of desert and cheeses was huge. Water was served with the meal. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The coffee was great. We would like to have stayed here longer.
A very pleasant hotel. Good location, very good staf, very good restaurant, good size pool. The family room was absolutely too small, I would not sell the room as a family room. The hotel was also too noisy for us in the evening.
Great facilities here in close proximity to town. Our room was a bit noisy being quite close to a surprisingly busy road but Staff were very helpful in trying to relocate us. The children absolutely loved the pool and other facilities available. Fabulous breakfasts too!
We usually stay in this hotel in winter and this is our first time in the summer. We had another great stay. We had a family room over the kitchen and it was a bit noisy but overall nice hotel, very friendly staff. Thank you.
We are keen skiers and like ski resorts. We usually go to Austria but as we were in France for our summer holidays we thought we would visit a French ski resort. As a special treat we booked two nights in this four star hotel in La Clusaz. Now because we usually go to Austria we had certain expectations about what a four-star hotel in a ski resort would be like. How sadly misguided we were. This hotel was a full price, we paid over £350 for two nights bed-and-breakfast so we had certain expectations. We booked twin beds, but anyone who skis in Austria will know that all hotel rooms have large six-foot beds with two mattresses and two duvets. Our room had a 5 foot double bed and as the hotel was full there was no option or chance of a change. We were also told that the restaurant was full so we couldn't eat there but if we were to enquire at reception the following morning we might be able to get a table in the restaurant for the following evening. It was also full the following evening. The room was very small and shabby and the cleaning regime was clearly very poor. The valance on the bed had some nasty looking stains on it. The corridor to the room was not nice, the carpet has obviously been down a very long time and there was an unpleasant odour about it all. The moment I arrived and filed past the children playing on the pool table in the lounge my head was telling me I should leave and I should've listened. The gentleman who booked us in told us the hotel was very busy all year round winter and summer. It reminded me a bit of the Solana, breakfast was a bunfight and the bar is very tired. The outside of the building is shabby and you can forget about wonderful displays of geraniums all around the building. This place has the air of a business sweating its assets. They are busy and full all the time and I suspect making a lot of money and whilst they are doing that there is clearly not much need for them to improve either the fabric of the building the quality of the rooms or the service. Personally I thought the place was just awful. Although we booked two nights the bed was so small I actually left my wife there and booked into another hotel the second night to get a good nights sleep. Actually that place for £40 for the night was really quite nice and interesting!
We arrived having booked one two-bed and one three-bed bedroom. Upon arrival, we were led into two tiny & dark, bedrooms on top of the main road. The third bed we paid for was not a bed, but a tiny mattress placed on special poles. We are lucky our kids are not picky. However, the mould in the bathroom was disgusting, and the sweet sour smell continuously wavered through the tiny bedroom as well. The location next to the skilifts is great. But the noise on top of the main street was a horror. By the way, the mold did not only attain the bathrooms. Fruit for breakfast was just as mouldy. Never, ever again
The staff was very friendly both at the entrance as in the dining areas, dinner was excellent (!!!!) every night (better than in most restaurants), there was a nice indoor swimming pool and sauna area that was not too crowded in the beginning of June, the room was nice and spacious and had a recently renovated bathroom. We liked the location in between Annecy and Chamonix for trips.
