I have been to most of the top hotels in the Durban CBD. This hotel is by far the best. It has been able to keep up it's excellent standards. The hotel is perfect from a Business and conference facility. The rooms are practical and well kept. Great hotel with great service.
Had mothers day lunch at vascos restaurant in the Hotel. staff was very friendly, hands on and helpful. awesome buffet and very beautiful environment to dine in . brought my family and they loved the experience
We had a short visit over the long weekend. My daughter, great niece and I had a family room on the six floor which faced the sea. The beds were really comfortable , plenty of toiletries in the bathroom which were replenished daily. The breakfast and dinner buffet was fantastic. So much too choose from , really delicious food. All the staff went out of their way to ensure that our needs were taken care of. Will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Durban.
Stayed there on business. The lighting in the bathroon is so bad as to be useless. Just a bad design. The other elements of the hotel are good. The location is for business as it is next to the Convention Center. Not a choice for vacation.
We had a family dinner at Vascos last night. Their Indian night was amazing, the food was delicious. Not forgetting the excellent service from the staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a blast. The ambience was perfect 👌.
Visited the Vasco s Restaurant for the International Buffet on a Tuesday. You can experience the buffet with dishes from around the world . Good value for money, friendly service, from the time you enter the Hotel to the time you leave you are greeted by almost every single staff member. Parking is safe.
Visited the Vasco restaurant for "Off the Hook "night what and amazing experience . Service was good and restaurant was busy, all staff alert and friendly giving off their best . My word the energy of staff was out of this world . The food was delicious an even have Sushi on buffet .
Very efficient and friendly staff, who make you feel welcome. Breakfast was decent. Rooms are a good size. Nice and quiet in room passages. Could have a more accessible smoking area though, but all in all a good experience overall.
Clean spacious room with everything you need. Good hairdryer bathroom tea and coffee and stocked mini bar that does not bring tears to your eyes when you pay. The staff and helpful friendly and professional. Good menu for both dinner and breakfast again without breaking the bank.
We stayed here for 3 nights and had the usual high expectations from visits to Hilton hotels in many countries. The hotel is very clean and well presented. Rooms are spacious And well equipped, bathroom amenities are also plentiful and high quality, and tea and coffee provided in the room. Now the bad bit! The quality of customer care is far below the standard I have experienced elsewhere. Although check-in was efficient and the staff member pleasant, the same cannot be said for the Grill Restaurant staff. Slow service, indifference when challenged and obvious poor training of a majority of the waiters and hostesses. Management of the Grill is almost non existent. One evening was absolutely chaotic! Food left on the pass for ages, meals served to one of us with the other forgotten! When the Restaurant Manager was confronted with our complaint he appeared totally unaware of the situation other than commenting that there were some problems in the kitchen. I will certainly not be returning here. What a shame!
