I stayed at this hotel during a recent work trip. The place is overly large meaning it takes a while to work out where everything is-especially as the hotel staff dont offer any information when you check in. After findind my room i was a little dissapointed at how dated it was. Although clean it had been updated in years and so had a very dark old feel to it. The bathroom was large enough but again dated so it felt like a cave. The biggest issue were the thin walls, i could hear every word the couple next door said including when they fought first thing in the morning. All the rooms on all the floors face a light well which meant that when ever any noise took place on any floor it could be heard in the room. The doors slamming and really noisy guest became quite tedious. The breakfasts were nice and the staff were very helpful(after the initial check in)
It used to be my favourite short stay (been there for so many times and I had review for his hotel previously) but my last visit to this hotel had changed my mind. I went there for one night stayed. I was lucky coz I got a promotion rate (RM261) with complimentary breakfast. I booked a superior room with double bed. I had no problem upon check in . The room was at level 6. it was a big and spacious room.The room is clean and neat. It smell like an old room, like it never been use for a long time. It was an old double bed with an old pillow (not a fluffy pillow like my previous stay) and old furniture and design. when i entered to the toilet, I saw water on floor, flow from below the sink, and there was a stagnant water in the sink too. There was a hole on the wall too. It seems like the room is under renovation. The room has no towel at all.I called housekeeping for several times asking for the towel and they delivered after an hour. It was so unprofessional. A towel Is a 'must' item in the hotel room. I understand that my room was under promotion rate, but if the room is under renovation or not ready to be occupied I rather paid full or normal rate. I always go to Holiday Villa for my short stay to relax and get away from work. But now I am not sure to go there again. It was a worst experienced. I used to love the hotel and always promote it to others. Please bring back the quality to this Hotel.
Reception and Check In : Good and above average. Quick check-in and also Check-Out.This is the only good thing in this hotel. Facilities : Internet is too slow and too poor-Need Improvement . Swimming Pool is big with kiddo pool and Jacuzzi. The pool management not so friendly they look like policemen and not friendly -Need improvement and give unlimited towel for pool usage since you said this is 5 star hotel? Other facilities maybe just ok .. bowling hall is bit old and when I use it not very good experience. Location: Nice and near to Sunway Lagoon Park, maybe 1 KM or less? Room :Average but big and good for family. I dislike the room cleaning service .They come to my room at 9.00 am and I ask them to come at 11.00 am , so for that day they did not clean my room at all. Overall: This maybe 4 star hotel (my personal opinion) -Staff not very friendly and need customer training especially staff near the pool. Room service -Poor I will come again someday and I hope there is more improvement in future.
This hotel is located in Subang Jaya. This is a big international chain hotel. The facilities are plenty. There are gymnasium, swimming pool, bowling alley and many more. Rooms are plenty. We can choose whether to have room on smoking or no smoking floor. The room is spacious and we were given a room facing the lake. Very good view. Service was good. The staff speak English and very attentive to our needs. Improvements needed in these areas : Buffet breakfast : the food selection is limited. Holiday Villa used to offer good and quality selection of food during breakfast. Now the breakfast selection is like any other lower star hotels. Rendang ayam was bland. There wasn't even sausages.
Check-in staff were borderline rude and housekeeping staff didn't bring a requested extra bed until over an hour later, eventhough it was requested before check-in. Rooms, while big, were disgustingly unkept for a supposedly 5 star hotel. There was fungus growing on the ceiling where extensive leak marks were visible. The bathroom was full of grime from the poor cleaning job done. For supposedly non-smoking rooms, the stench of smoke filled the air. Besides that, the air conditioning is a centralized system, meaning you can't control the room temperature, and it was utterly freezing the whole time. This hotel is old and dated, staff don't care about cleanliness and customer service (when approached to complain about the condition of the room, the duty manager merely laughed it off and provided no solution). You would be better off staying in a budget hotel. Give this rubbish place a miss for your own good.
The room is spacious, come with large sofa and nice bath tub. The view was very nice and i love when you can see the sunset.. Anything else about the hotel is old and need tons of upgrade I need to ask two tines for a bath towel...
This hotel has seen better days. I stayed at this hotel 20 years ago, and had fond memories of a well maintained and well kept rooms and hotel. 20 years on, the rooms are old and the cabinets have warped. Everything about the room is old. When I checked in at 2pm, I was made to wait over 30-minutes. The reception staff informed that 1 room was ready, while the other was not. There was no urgency to get the room ready, and I had to complain to their Manager before a room was released to me. For keeping the guest waiting, there was no service recovery - no sorry, no welcome drinks, no fruit basket. The amenities are old and run down. The only thing nice was the swimming pool, but the wooden floor boards has warped and be careful the nails jutting out!!! Internet is slow, very slow here. And you have to get the id/password from the reception, and limited to 2 device only. This hotel has downgraded to become a tourist hotel. Avoid! Will not be back.
Large spacious hotel with three ballrooms, tennis court, badminton court, bowling alley, pool, restaurants and a nightclub. Some areas of the hotel need refurbishment but overall a good value for money hotel in Subang located half way between KL and KLIA.
We have issues during check in due to my Agoda transaction, however the hotel staff managed to solve it quickly and smoothly as possible. Not to mention, it was midnight so we really appreciate the staff's willingness to help us on this matter. Way to guest room area is bit far from receptionist, you might need bellboy assistance with your luggage. The room, even though bit old-looking, it was spacious & clean! They also have huge sofa & bathroom (equipped with bathtub). Air conditioner works perfectly fine, and other basic amenities were also provided in the room; iron, fridge, kettle etc. We ordered in-room dining service for breakfast, the service was quick and the food tasted good. For hotel guest, the parking is free, just make sure to validate your ticket first at the reception. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay and looking forward to book it again.
The hotel is old no doubt, we just didn't think it is this bad being rated as 5 stars. When you entered the room, you almost invariably always find something not working. We had this experience as we changed room once. In the first room, there is a hole in the floor and the fridge is not working. We thought we can tolerate that until some notorious noisy occupants checked in next door when we could virtually hear every conversations. We decided to change room. In the second room, the hot water is not working. It just gives warm water. That don't kill us so we decided to stay on. On our second night there, we have an unwanted visitor - a cockroach crawling over the chair. Big one! We killed it and left it outside the door. The next morning, IT IS STILL LYING THERE!!! The hotel rate may be affordable but the service level is far from acceptable.
