We booked this hotel through Airbnb, it was the first time we had used Airbnb so we were expecting to stay in someone's home. We were disappointed to find out we were staying in a budget hotel instead. That said the receptionists were friendly, the place was clean and the price was cheap.
Extremely cheap accommodation. Was very surprised when we checked in to see how nice the room was. Clean room and bathroom in the heart of China Town. Close to everything. Staff was very nice at front desk and helped us with everything we needed. Good Wifi.
Budget hotel on the south end of Petaling street. Very good value, room was clean, bed was firm but comfortable, bathroom had fresh clean towels a bidet and air conditioning. We stayed 3 nights and the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the WIFI was free and worked well. Very quiet on the sixth floor, not much street noise at all. Would recommend and return again.
I've already book for this summer's layover and I'm glad to be going back. First of all, the room is clean and spacious which isn't always the case in kl. Furthermore the location, smack in the centre of Chinatown, makes a great atmosphere on your doorstep. There's plenty of food, drink and market stalls full of fake junk. Yet inside it's quiet and well equipped if you want to escape the bust streets. It was worth the money and only 3 minutes away from public transport, I'll be back soon.
What you would expect for the money you pay. Clean, decent sizes room, we requested a superior double which comes with shower/bath and hot water. also a window at the front of the property. The location is quite noisy as it is directly on petaling street with the Chinese market so open all hours so if you get this room ear plugs are a must. however it is pretty cool to be staying on this road a lot going on always some where to get something to eat. The location is good for china town, central market and not too far way from train station and monorail all within walking distance. The staff are really nice and helpful printed our boarding passes off with no additional fee. Wifi was good worked the whole time we were there. they also provide bottled water everyday and room clean.
I dont know what caused the place to be available at such a low price. May be off season? But we were amazed with how value the place was! Twin beds with AC, TV, hot shower, WiFi and a window. The place even has an elevator. Location's right in the China town, that whole street with stalls n vendors. We were on a higher floor so noise didn't bother. The room was slightly smelly when we entered. But a matter of seconds n ur was all fine. Will definitely consider it for another stay.
I have been using this Hotel for every visit since 2010 - 10 stays in all. My last visit was February through March 2016 and I will be here again through June and July 2017. Now If THAT doesn't tell you just how good this Hotel is, nothing will. Situated right in the heart of Petaling Street it may be difficult to spot if you are arriving AFTER 6pm when the market is in full swing. TIP.1. From Jalan Sultan entrance it is about 80m on the right.. look UPWARD (above the stalls) to see the very large Hotel sign TIP 2: If with heavy luggage - walk along the side passage at the back of the stalls - it may be awkward... but far better than trying to get through a thronging crowd of tourist (who cant move). The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean and has a regular bed-sheet/room clean service... and in all my visits I never never had any nasties bite me - ever. Staff are eager to help in any way they can. Treat them with respect.. they are worth it. Rail and bus services are very local (within 10 minute walk). TIP 3:.If you have never tried Hawker (Street vendor) Food.. Well,if you see locals using it.. then it has to be good.. its as simple as that. TIP 4: In Petaling Street 99.9% of all you see is fake (except foodstuffs) so if they give you a price of say RM300 for a Jimmy Choo.. YOU start at RM125 and finish at RM150 - even then they are making a GOOD profit.
D'Oriental Inn located in strategic area "Petaling Street" and its really in front of the Petaling Street Night Market, so you can find everything here. The hotel is only 5 minutes walking to Pasar Seni LRT Station and free Go KL Shelter. From this hotel, you can enjoy the legend Portugeese Fish Grill that located in the next to Hong Leong Bank, its so yummy.
I have stayed at this hotel many times now. The hotel has a fantastic location, right in the middle of the Jalan Petaling night market and only 5 minute walk to Central Market and Pasar Seni LRT. For the amount paid, the hotel boats fantastic value for money. As long as you don't go with expectations of a 3-4 star hotel you won't be let down. Just remember how much you paid for the hotel and you will have a great stay!
the hotel is situated in the midst of busy Petaling St market..we didn't expect perfection for the money...we had a comfortable clean room facing the street..the staff tried their best with what they have...cool dude at the front desk. I didn't have bedbugs or hookers...I thought it was OK for a cheap place to see the KL downtown arena.
