Hotel was nice but rooms are a little dated. Bed is rock hard but can get a decent nights sleep. Good location and very close to square and not far from airport. Shower nozzle a little broken but shower fine. Thought we would have got a bath for what we paid and with having palace in the name of the hotel. Didnt get the food but friends said food is lovely and would recommend the pierogi. Good selection of craft beers in the bar and even had alcohol free beer for my friend.
Just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful. I chatted with them every day, but that's the type of person I am and they responded accordingly. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was modern with a powerful shower. The whole hotel is tastefully decorated. The buffet breakfast was a combination of breakfast and lunch. Traditional English breakfast food...scrambled egg if you would like it (with or without bacon) cereal, milk. fruit juice, watermelon, butter, marmalade/jams, tea, coffee etc. Then there was the continental food...fruit, meats, cheese, tomatoes, cottage cheese with chive etc etc . Sweet pastries, brown bread, white bread, rolls. yogurts, the list goes on. As I'm not a 'big' breakfast person, there was more than enough for me, but don't go expecting a full English! The location is excellent for the market square. It only took me 15 minutes to walk and I have limited mobility. An average adult would easily walk there in 6/7 minutes. Next time I go to Krakow I will happily stay there again. Just one very, very minor fault...it didn't have sufficient plug sockets to plug in all of my electronic gadgets!! Hardly what one could describe as a major problem. Air conditioning and very quiet. Actually, I turned it off after a day (just because I don't care for a/c)
Lovely, friendly staff. Great fresh selection for breakfast, both hot and cold variety. Great location for a city break in krakow, walking distance to the old quarter Oldy worldly, quaint style hotel. Would definitely recommend
The hotel is old but well kept. Rooms were obviously remolded. Our room was nice, clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff seemed to be annoyed if you asked for assistance, except one gentleman who was very pleasant to talk to. Breakfast was good with many choices. The same pleasant gentleman came by our table and offered us cooked items that were not on the buffet table. Or only real problem was that all of my perception medicine was stolen from our room or while our cases were checked at reception prior to us leaving. So if you stay here, use the safe.
I had a short stay here for work purposes. It was handy for where I needed to be. It was not a particularly friendly place and I did not feel I would be back. There was no view from the room, only 2 skylights which gave rather a cooped up feel to the experience. However, the room was quiet and I slept well. Breakfast had a lot of choice but there were flies on the cold mears - these needed covering up. It is an easy walk to the main Square. Walking to the Castle and Cathedral takes longer. A very pleasant city. There is a really nice cafe in the Art Museum right next door where you can sit out til late in their garden, as being in the room was a bit dull with no air or view. TV was all in Polish, 1 intermittent BBC News programme with very poor reception. You have to pay for the milk in your tea in the room.
Pleasant enough Hotel in a historic building very near to city centre. Reasonable service, reasonable breakfast, clean room. My only but very major complaint is that after 24 hours the (weak) Wi-Fi simply stopped working, which is frankly not acceptable.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and we were not disappointed. The location was great just a 10 min walk to get in to Krakow’s main town centre. The rooms were clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and tidy and the shower was excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities and a safe in the room, everything you would expect. The service was good and the staff very helpful. Would recommend.
The hotel was really nice and cosy, all the staff very helpful and friendly, and it was only a short walk from to centre of town, the breakfast was always different and very nice.and in the basement of the hotel there was a really nice bar, really cosy and welcoming,
The hotel is located 7 minutes walk from the center of the old town. This is a historic building. The room was big enough on the 2. floor with a window on the ceiling. I really liked a lot the room where the breakfast took place. The breakfast was nice. Friendly staff. I was well met and showed my room. This hotel has a nice atmosphere.
Just back from 3 nights in Krakow, stayed at the Ostoya. Great location, staff very friendly, asked for extra pillows rather late at night, they were with us in minutes. Room large, very comfy, clean, plenty of big enough for my two sister's and myself. Good selection at breakfast. We were on the front, some people who have stayed there did complain about the noise from the trams that passed right outside, can't say it was a problem, bit of vibration that's all. All in al l I would stay there again. And the xmas market was fantastic. We had all sorts of weather, snow rain the lot.
