We booked a four night stay through a travel agent back on August 2 with this hotel our trip was September 14-18,2017. When we arrived at the hotel they said they had over booked and we did not have a room. We asked for help finding another room and they basically told us it was not their problem, they had contacted our travel agent so they were not interested in helping us. Come to find out, they contacted our travel agent while we were in flight the night before we were due to arrive. Needless to say, we were stunned. Never had we been treated this way by a hotel. They didn't even offer us the use of their wifi connection so we could try to contact our travel agent. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic hotel and the staff here are excellent and help as much as what they can. Good points--clean tidy, standards here are very high and wow. Bad point and only one, after a 9 hr trip to get here your exhausted and finally when getting to lie down your met with a slab of a mattress much like a stone one with no give, this may however be to some people's taste unluckily we had hoped for something where we may be able to sleep on it. We padded this out as best as we could however this didn't work. Everything else about this hotel is great as it is within walking distance of the square and they do have a lift in place to help with those who are in a wheelchair to get to the reception. I am looking forward to the sauna where I may at least get relaxed before bed time again, this costs about 25 slotie.

When we arrived we were greeted at the main entrance by Ivor who helped us with luggage and took us to our room. There were tea making facilities and a television but only with Polish channels. The room was immaculately clean with a bathroom with a power shower which revitalised us after hot days out. The domestics replaced our towels regularly. It was a 10 minute easy walk to the Main Square but enough off the beaten track to offer peace and quiet. All staff were brilliant but Ivor was exceptional. We hope to return to this beautiful hotel in the future. There is also a pub and restaurant offering excellent food and drink at inexpensive prices.

If you are looking for a hotel near the main square but not on it then this is the hotel for you. 10 min max walk (once you know the way) and you are in the main square. Breakfast is good, service excellent. Highly recommended

We stayed 3 night in Ostoya Palace Hotel. The hotel has a faded grandeur about it and has lots of character. The rooms are clean and there is a pleasant bar/restaurant in the basement, we didn't eat there but went down for a nightcap most nights. The one negative is there are no British TV chanels, I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but even a news chanel would have been good for those times when you are in your room. Breakfast was OK, cereals, meats, toast, eggs, enough to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Overall an enjoyable experience and just a short walk through the park to the centre. Would stay there again and would recommend to others.

We stayed 4 nights in the Ostoya Palace.. In the new Town and about 10 mins walk to the square it is a comfortable traditional hotel with a hint of faded glory and probably less noisy than hotels nearer the centre . Every room is a bit different and ours looked out on a wooded area where people walked their dogs. The large bed was comfortable and the ceilings were high and decorated with paintings. . The hotel has a pub (located in the cellar) and a Sauna. . We paid for the buffet breakfast which was fine and saved us an early walk into town.. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. Comfortable and good value.

My wife and I stayed here over the New Year and were very pleased with it. Our room was very large and pleasant and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The Staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. There is a very pleasant bar and restaurant in the basement. Breakfast is very good with an unusual range of spreads which we loved. A 5/10 minute walk through very pleasant surroundings to the Main Market Square. The atmosphere of the hotel would remind you of being in a very large, grand hose with a beautiful wide staircase and plenty of space all around. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed four nights whilst visiting the Christmas Market, the hotel was in a good location not too far on the market square. The hotel is very clean good quality cotton bedding furniture is old but well maintained there was a stocked fridge, tea, coffee & kettle in room. The breakfast offered hot & cold options, fruit, toast, cereal sufficient to start the day. There is a bar in the basement drink prices were very reasonable. All in all although an old hotel we would stay again it is not expensive.

First impressions do not last as you walk into the palatial interior of this hotel. Rooms are beautiful, pristine and so cosy with large windows and ceilings very high above you. Beds superbly comfortable and huge! The only teeny negative is that breakfast buffet let them down but you know, it made me not over indulge at every meal so even gat was a bonus! Can't recommend highly enough...
