A great hotel, well positioned for getting to the old town and the castle. A nice bar for a short visit and breakfast plentiful, good choice with the option for a cooked breakfast Would recommend for a short visit to view all the tourist attractions in Krakow
My wife and I spent 3 nights here in December for the xmas markets Hotel location is perfect...5 minute walk to square...quiet area..nice basement bar Room was beautiful...staff were very friendly...organised gorgeous flowers and bubbly for next to nothing! Breakfast was varied and plentiful if not spectacular Hard to fault Ostoya...thanks for a lovely weekend
We stayed at the Ostoya Palace for three nights The hotel is an palace which has been converted very sympathetically to a hotel Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom There was ample choice at breakfast which was continuously re-stocked The concierge was particularly helpful and friendly The hotel is located on a quite busy road but we were in room 16 and didn't hear any traffic It is about 10 minute walk to the main square but it is an easy walk . If we were to visit Krakow again we would re-book and would recommend the hotel.
Good location, walking distance to the Old Town. Price ok for facilities, really nice reception staff ready to help at any time, giving right advices to tourists. Very nice breakfast. Would book again.
We stayed here in September. Check in was easy and straightforward. We had our bags carried up to the room for us as well by the porter. The room was lovely and clean - it was cleaned everyday throughout our stay and the towels were replaced everyday. It is an easy walk from the Hotel into the main square probably about 10/15 mins - there are not many bars/restaurants close by to the hotel though. On departure our flight was not until the evening and the hotel kindly let us leave our luggage until the evening and rang a taxi to take us to the airport. I would stay in this hotel again.
We booked a four night stay through a travel agent back on August 2 with this hotel our trip was September 14-18,2017. When we arrived at the hotel they said they had over booked and we did not have a room. We asked for help finding another room and they basically told us it was not their problem, they had contacted our travel agent so they were not interested in helping us. Come to find out, they contacted our travel agent while we were in flight the night before we were due to arrive. Needless to say, we were stunned. Never had we been treated this way by a hotel. They didn't even offer us the use of their wifi connection so we could try to contact our travel agent. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Fantastic hotel and the staff here are excellent and help as much as what they can. Good points--clean tidy, standards here are very high and wow. Bad point and only one, after a 9 hr trip to get here your exhausted and finally when getting to lie down your met with a slab of a mattress much like a stone one with no give, this may however be to some people's taste unluckily we had hoped for something where we may be able to sleep on it. We padded this out as best as we could however this didn't work. Everything else about this hotel is great as it is within walking distance of the square and they do have a lift in place to help with those who are in a wheelchair to get to the reception. I am looking forward to the sauna where I may at least get relaxed before bed time again, this costs about 25 slotie.
When we arrived we were greeted at the main entrance by Ivor who helped us with luggage and took us to our room. There were tea making facilities and a television but only with Polish channels. The room was immaculately clean with a bathroom with a power shower which revitalised us after hot days out. The domestics replaced our towels regularly. It was a 10 minute easy walk to the Main Square but enough off the beaten track to offer peace and quiet. All staff were brilliant but Ivor was exceptional. We hope to return to this beautiful hotel in the future. There is also a pub and restaurant offering excellent food and drink at inexpensive prices.
If you are looking for a hotel near the main square but not on it then this is the hotel for you. 10 min max walk (once you know the way) and you are in the main square. Breakfast is good, service excellent. Highly recommended
We stayed 3 night in Ostoya Palace Hotel. The hotel has a faded grandeur about it and has lots of character. The rooms are clean and there is a pleasant bar/restaurant in the basement, we didn't eat there but went down for a nightcap most nights. The one negative is there are no British TV chanels, I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but even a news chanel would have been good for those times when you are in your room. Breakfast was OK, cereals, meats, toast, eggs, enough to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Overall an enjoyable experience and just a short walk through the park to the centre. Would stay there again and would recommend to others.
