Stayed here at the start of November and had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The hotel is quite eclectically decorated. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of both hot and cold food. I'd be happy to stay here again
Lovely hotel, staff are friendly and speak good English the hotel was warm and very clean. About a 10 minute walk to the square. The Christmas markets are lovely to see. Thank you for a great stay, hope to return soon hopefully in the summer.
spent 2 nights with friends in Home hôtel. rented 4 rooms, which turned out to be very nicely decorated and comfortably furnished, as beds are of good quality. the nightmare starts at night, where it seems that there is no time for rest in this hotel. a few customers of the hotel ruined the quietness of the place using TV aloud, yellings and even fights in the corridors the second night, with no chance for the other customers to sleep a minute. and no intervention of the staff to call the police. sorry not to recommend this place, which could be very nice due to equipments and restaurant according to the price, but no need to book rooms where you cannot take a simple nap.
This hotel is located close to Wawel Castle and in a good position to explore the old town of Krakow which is certainly a place worth visiting. The hotel is clean and the rooms, although not huge, are certainly adequate for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom, though fairly small was clean and tidy, as was the room in general. Hanging facilities is just a rail rather than a wardrobe. Breakfast was included in our room rate and they provide a good buffet breakfast with a reasonable choice. One comment regarding the coffee/tea machine in the breakfast room did not work very well and could do with replacing as all the guests struggled with this. I expect most people will use this Hotel as a base to explore Krakow and Home is certainly in a good position for this and overall is a clean modern little hotel which has everything in place for a short stay in the city and is a good choice for anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced but clean and reasonably comfortable room. It is not a hotel with all the frills of a 5 star property but great for a short break. Decor in the hotel is themed on world religions with different floors themed with art images from various religions but it is fairly subtle.
The hotel is in an excellent location within a few minutes walk of Wawel castle and the market square with it's huge range of restaurants and bars. The rooms are very well equipped (flat screen tv, dressing gowns and slippers, tea & coffee, mini bar, hair drier, etc). Breakfast is included with a large range of hot and cold items. The staff are friendly, but we would have to highlight the receptionist, Patrycja, as the star. We had never come across anybody as friendly, efficient or so willing to help. We had a problem with a pre booked trip and Patrycja went to great lengths to sort it out for us. She is a real asset to the hotel.
Greeted by a warm smile on arrival the room was warm and well laid out . Great little bathroom with all your needs catered for from soap, shower gel, shampoo , bathrobes even a sewing kit. Mini bar and tea and coffee in the room Television in the room but we didn’t have it on. Great place nice and quite
The hotel is small but very adequate. On arriving we were told we had been upgraded due to the length of our stay and we were not dissapointed. The room was larger than your average box room offered by some chain hotels . The bathroom was also a decent size with a bath tub . If there was reason to grumble it would be there was no shower holder at height so taking a shower was a one handed affair but we like a bath anyway. The only other minor is that the hotel was once a large home and is listed as we would know it . Our room had interconnecting doors which due to this can't be altered . You can hear your neighbours quite clearly . However after a good days rambling around the beautiful city who cares ( ear plugs supplied anyway ). Location wise it is great within easy distance of both the old town and the Kasmierz district , so perfect . The street that it is on is quiet which is good . Staff very friendly and speak good English , especially if you try a few words in polish. We were bed and breakfast . The breakfast is of a continental style ; cerials , bread , fruit cheeses and salad. There is hot roasted sausage and bacon with scrambled eggs if preferred or as well as . Yoghurt , fruit juice and a good coffee machine . All in all an excellent stay and only the minor issues mentioned knocked off one star . Well done Home . Oh there is a sauna and a descent gym if required
We stayed there for 4 nights. The hotel itself isn’t very big, the restaurant is also pretty small and the bar doesn’t even have beer on tap. That being said, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are just what you need, (you’re not in Kraków to stay in your room all day after all) a comfortable bed, a minibar, air conditioning, tv and DVD player, the bathroom is fine (it is a bit weird though, there are glass windows so you can see in and out, but there’s a curtain), and a safe. The room is cleaned everyday. You are greeted with a small bottle of cherry vodka in your room, as a sort of welcome, which I liked. The interior is full of religious iconography from all four major religions, a fine touch to stay different from every other hotel. It’s good for what it is and for the price, so if you’re looking for something different and on budget, this might just be it. I’ll leave you with one tip: take a walk for just a few minutes and you’ll get way cheaper breakfast.
Stayed here for two nights in October 2017. I emailed the hotel several times before our stay and they organised the salt mine tour for us on our first day as we were on such a tight schedule. Reception staff were very pleasant and professional, most of my dealings were with Patrice ( im sorry I probably have not spelt the name correctly ) who was an absolute pleasure :-) We stayed in room 0.4, which is on the ground floor at the front of the hotel. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. There was a slight bit of noise in the mornings with local traffic but that is beyond the control of the hotel. The shower was amazing , especially after a long day walking around with the tours. We took breakfast one morning, there is a small selection of hot and cold food - have no complaints about the food. The hotel is perfectly located , 10 min walk to the Jewish quarter and about 8 min walk to the old square. Overall we have had a lovely stay with home hotel, I would highly recommend it anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay
Just back from a 4 day trip to Krakow, we stayed in Home Hotel. The hotel was bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and bright. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was continental, with plenty of choice. It is located a short walk from the main square of Krakow and is close to all the restaurants, bars shops and entertainment.
