For that price you will find nicer places at Ao Nang center. Every tap and the shower are spraying the water in all directions because of calcification, old appliances, that should have been replaced long time ago. The wood tables have broken surfaces. This Hotel needs a total renovation.
My mother bought this tour through the promotion they did in one big media channel in Thailand. It was claimed that the trip for 3 days and 2 nights, breakfast included, stay in a pool villa cost originally around 100,000 baht but was reduced in this promotional period to only 40,000 baht (approximately.) We did buy the tickets for 6 people to Krabi. We were picked up from the airport and arrived at the resort shortly. The first impression for my mother's long gone 40,000 baht was beyond imagination, it was so bad I could not explain in words. During those 3 days and 2 nights it was awful. I don't mind spending a big sum of money on something IF it's WORTH it. But this time, with all the problems with the pool villa, the quality of food, the manner of the staff there it was way beyond words. We felt CHEATED. The original price of the 3 days and 2 nights pool villa here could possibly be 40,000 for 10 people, all right. But even at that cost I would spend it on somewhere else. We also thought about complaining this resort to the government authority which has the authority over this issue. However, for some reasons we just let it go. But be reminded, I was so angry. We actually talked among ourselves that this should be considered a criminal act of false advertisement and cheating. What I was angry the most is that regardless of all things which went so wrong at this place, my mother put her valuable stuff and her medicine in the safe the resort provided us. The medication was very important and had to be taken everyday. However, we came back to the resort to find out that we could not open it. I demanded the staff to unlock or even destroy it immediately since that was not our false. Somebody came and go and told us that they would try again tomorrow. Some of the people we knew did not take this type of medicine according to the doctor's prescription and somehow ended up passed away (stroke.) I demanded them to break the safe and it was successfully done around 3 a.m. in the morning. We gave tips to the staff involved in helping us with the issue. And we promise ourselves never to go to that place again. Our first impression of Krabi was totally destroyed and lost. I have never actually felt like going to Krabi again tbh.
We got to hotel transfered by nice van w friendly driver. It was nice. It was raining really bad. Anyway we arrived to hotel and waited around two and half hours to get in our room. Room was ok. Worn down, old, clean on first sight. I liked settings in the room even though everything was minimal. But really really minimal-small tv, small sofa. After all traveling and all the stuff with traveling to krabi I was so tired and jumped on the bed. Big mistake. Matress was so hard that I had air blown out of my lungs from jump. Anyway took the shower with lukewarm (as it was the warmest it could get) water in a stinky stale bathroom and got in the bed. In the morning had a breakfast. Very very basic. But ok if you just want to survive and push through in couple of hours to come. After bfast went for a tour and it was really good. Then came back for a massage which was really really good but it's always full and it's hard to get it. Anyway after that I tried to have a dinner, but they didn't have any of main meals so I had to have appetizer again. And 6 more beers. Btw pools are very dirty especially the one beside condos. and gym- well I'm fitness trainer and saw good and bad gyms- but never saw gym in lobby of condo building. And beside that, the main machine doesn't even work. Overall, I have just seen that this hotel has 4 stars, and I really can't find a reason for such a high rate. It doesn't worth money my mother in law paid for it, even though staff is very friendly. And beside of all of this, be aware of their advertisement as the picture on advertisement is not resort that you're booking, but this very sad resort. By the way, I travelled all around world, I even slept on docks, I'm not spoiled, but I don't like wasting my time and money on things that are not worth it. And this hotel is exactly that. Za zemljake iz srbije ni ne pomišljajte na ovaj očajan hotel. Smrdi star je i nema najosnovnije.
This is the first time I've written a review on a hotel as our time here at Mandawee has been much below average warning others away is a must!! THE GOOD: ........ The free shuttle to & from the hotel from Ao Nong beach front. The pool bar layout was reasonable but on our arrival the pool was in dire need of a clean (which took place the next day.) THE BAD: Check in was a fluster of paperwork, took 3 of them to do so. The room STINKS of damp, the ceiling is covered in mould above the bed. Upon arrival our bed sheets were dirty from previous guests. (After a trip to reception they were changed!) The 'mattress' is horrific - worst sleep for us both. The bed sheets don't fit the bed. There's an inch of dust covering every semi concealed surface (i.e the wooden slats on the doors.) There were ants all throughout the room. The black shower tiles are turning white from the build up of soap scum on the walls. Glass doors around the bed have never been cleaned. Tracks are full of dirt & grit. Hideous smell coming from drains in bathroom. Toilet is covered in stains. Housekeepers provided dirty towels and didn't change the sheets when requested. Large clumps of dust occupy the wall in the bedroom from lack of attentive cleaning. Don't even bother paying for the breakfast, on paper if finishes at 10 we arrived at 9.20 scraping the leftovers off the Bain-Marie's. The couple of cats which came over to our table consumed more of what was on my plate that I did myself. For an apparent 4 * hotel paying over 5000B I'd rate our stay here no more than 3/10. It was dirty, filled with unenthusiastic staff and lots of other people's hair. Pay a couple more hundred baht and enjoy your stay elsewhere as here certainly isn't worth your time or money as we have unfortunately found out.
Travel a lot of fun, Krabi, Thailand is very beautiful. impressed with mandawee resort and spa tour I trip to four of seven islands. For example, the chicken island, poda island ,rilay island and pranang island
We been booked this terrible 1 or half star hotel for a week and now thinking how to get money back. First we came here 2.3.2016 8 am, we landed 6 am to krabi and we were very tired of travelling. Asking our rooms, we have to wait for 14pm. I understand that but we were earlier send them email, that could we had our rooms littlepit earlier of that, no answer at all. No good wibes of that. Our resevation wasn't inclued breakfest, thank god, spending 200bth for that wasnt worth it. Nothing to eat. Some fruits (inclued ants) , white bread and thai food. I dont get it?! After that we try to get to the city with taxi, (after walked 1km somewhere to get it), to spend some time. Well, we come back to the hotel to get our rooms and those were ready. We have superior rooms. I dont know what super is in this room. Nothing. Back to hotel... Staff: doesn't speak english, only maybe 2 person speaks but not so good english that you could understand, hilarios -in 4 star hotel 😀 Location: far, so far away from anything, you have to take taxi, tuktuk or walk (what i dont recommed , becouse there isn't good lightning in streets, and you can be hit by car , not so nice) Tuktuk cost like 50bth/way/ao nang/person. one little shop nearby (1km). To the beach 3km. Hotel: dirty, old Mostly thai people no westerns. No information to clients in lobby , like maps or anything. No lockroom for luggage If you have to leave your luggage, for waiting rooms, like we do. Pool: very dirty. Around Pool you can see there were cleaned it long time ago, or never. I dont know. Sunbeds looks like they are in mold. Aswell bathrooms in the rooms. Gym: haven't been there yet but think to go push fittnes center in ao nang. We checkout from the hotel after 2 nigths, becouse the level of service was terrible. In lobby we try to get some copy of checking out before we were purpose to leave, to get money back in home. But i think that peolpe in lobby just act stupid and they dosen't want to understand what we meen. They dont eaven been sorry for that we have to leave they hotel. I dont know what the hell the are thinking about 4star hotels look like If this is it. I been better hostel than this is. I dont recommed this "hotel" to anybody. I think there is everything wrong in this hotel. Pictures are from superior room
We spent two nights at this hotel recently. I requested two beds and they could not supply this and provided one large bed. The room was very dirty and we opened a drawer and found dirty used socks. The location is not very good as it is far from the beach. They supply a free shuttle bus to two beaches at 11am, 1pm, 4pm, 5 pm times. I booked this hotel as their web site stated free airport shuttle. The manager named Ron stated that there was to be a charge. I brought down my laptop and showed him the info on their web site stating the airport shuttle. He said he would look into it. I returned one hour later and he had gotten into their web site and changed it to read a surcharge for this service. This is no way to treat a customer. I can't recommend this hotel due to its poor location, ice cold eggs and poor breakfast offerings and lies from the manager about their internet description of the hotel. There are other hotels much closer and a better value than this out of the way, overpriced hotel!
This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. I don't know where to begin but let me preface this review by saying I was staying hostels before coming here so my expectations were already low. As a visitor in their country I should not demand they speak my language (English) but no one spoke English there; no points deducted for that but if that's a concern for you then take note. So where to begin... As far as I could tell the bed wasn't even a bed as in not an actual mattress. It felt like sleeping on a boxspring. By far the most uncomfortable "bed" I have experienced. The place was dirty.... You could clearly see that they never scrubbed down the showers or walls or anything. The bathroom wreaked from an odour coming up from the drains. It was close to unbearable. They did not replace our glass cups. In fact, they rewrapped our used ones in tissue paper that said "sanitized". How ironic. This was evidenced by the lipstick mark on the cup - did not require a keen eye to identify that. Everything was just dirty and the resort, if you want to call it that, is shoddily operated. I will not stay there again and will never recommend it to anyone. I am actually going to write Hotwire and recommend they remove it from their list of hotels. Worst. Hotel. Ever.
The hotel located a bit distant from beach but they have provided shuttle services. Quite at night for quality sleep in tropical rain forest, the resort around by mountain view, especially be hide zone.
We stayed in Villa 12 which was well-appointed with en-suite bathrooms to the 3 bedrooms, kitchen/diner, outdoor swimming pool/Jacuzzi, tasteful combination of traditional and modern décor, though have to watch the many levels. Breakfast/lunch and diner inclusive were good, though not exceptional. There is a separate fitness/spa with swimming pool and sauna (which needs attention - the benches are too low for the loyly (steam in Finnish!) to be effective and the door doesn't close properly!). The trip by motor launch around the islands and snorkeling was most enjoyable.
