Krabi Thai Village Resort4.0 out of 5.0

They were busy renovating during our stay incl Sat and Sunday so it was noisy. 10 pool chairs for a hotel with 50+ rooms is rather ridiculous. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is not 4 Star but OK. 10 min walk to town. I guess Ok value for money.
Krabi Thai Village is pretty decent for families and those on a budget. It's a typical Thai style resort, large grounds, big pools, the rooms are spacious and affordable, and the area is quiet but close enough to the main strip. The resort is looking a little worn down though but that's reflected in the price you pay. The breakfast was pretty good - we've come to expect good things from hotels in Thailand regarding their breakfasts and they don't often disappoint. Plenty to choose from; Thai, International, Chinese, pastries, cereal. You definitely wont go hungry. I will say the wifi was absolutely terrible - a real annoyance in this day and age, especially as roaming charges are so high. There was nothing stand out about the staff - they were polite and did their jobs but a deserved mention to the tour agency girl - very friendly and helpful. Overall, for the price, a decent place to stay in Ao Nang.
We stayed there for two weeks. I have stayed in thailand numerous times and this is the only hotel I would not return too simply because we had a camera stolen from our room and charged for things out of the mini bar that we hadn't drank. The rooms however were lovely and spacious and the beds were lovely and big . Singapore slings in the bar are fantastic and really good value during happy hour . It's a ten minute walk into town and to ao nang beach. The street food at the bottom of the road is a must try and once you get over eating at plastic tables on the sidewalk the food is better than most of the restuarants and the ambience is second to none. The food in the restuarant at the hotel is quite poor. Overall the hotel was a little tatty however it was very clean
I really enjoyed my stay here The staff were extremely polite, and helpful in assisting us to arrange local tours ect The rooms are great, very big, clean and comfortable The wifi wasn't the best and breakfast not the best but overall it was great Had a massage which was awesome Only 2 minute scooter ride from Ao nang beach/shops/restaurants ect I can't wait to return again
This hotel is great for families. Has an excellent pool with more than enough room for the kids to play in. The pool bar is a great place to sit drink and read and talk to others if that is your thing. Is close enough to the nightlife area of AO Nang and cheap to get by taxi or tuk tuk. The cost of rooms is fair and are very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Didn't like having to walk up stairs but that's just me lazy and a bad knee. Breakfast was a little plain and ordinary but apart from that all else was good.
Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks in February 2017 the hotel offers a fantastic base for an nang and it's shops and bars very good hotel and would definitely use again every thing you need close by and very safe to walk any time day and night
Would not recommend this place. Overcharged us for things that we were told for free. The Resort was empty and wifi was bad. Rooms were fine and nice facilities but something is just off and creepy about this place. There are better options out there, don't stay here.
Of all the places we stayed in Thailand, Krabi was our least favourite. Other than being eaten alive the 5 days we were there by mosquitoes (obviously not the resorts fault) and the ever increasing prices of the same items purchased at the resort. The additional fees for almost everything. Eg.The fee required for a simple local phone call(of less than a minute) to confirm tour bookings(All other hotels did this for free) The early closing hours of the pool (18:00) keeping in mind we visited during the hottest time of the year. The only positive is the breakfast buffet.
Our rooms were more than spacious - generous proportions, massive beds, and all required amenities. The ground are lovely with an abundance of natural greenery, beautiful trees and well thought-out gardens and footpaths. The swimming pool area is excellent, and includes plaything and a bar - well planned! We enjoyed great buffet breakfasts in the hotel, and must complement the chefs who know how to do an omelet just right. The reception area is very impressive and imparts a "Thai" feel, with staff that are professional, very courteous, and extremely helpful. The town is only a medium stroll away. It was a pleasure staying here and we will repeat this experience.
Really nice place to finish off my tour of Thailand. Having stayed in modest accommodation throughout Thailand, arriving here was a real treat. Spacious suite, fantastic food, excellent staff.....top marks
