The only thing i continued my stay here was for the location. Just cross the road and walk on the beach. Rooms are outdated and linen quality is average.Swimming pool was good. Breakfast is a big letdown with only couple of choices and cleanliness is poor in that area. Lets talk about the staff. The lady at reception was the only one who would smile and greet you. Other people will give you some weird looks when asked any questions. I am not sure if they understand English very well but i have always seen great hospitality and smiling faces in Thailand (which is called as land of smiles). Tons of options to eat nearby so don't bother eating at the hotel.
Stayed for 3 nights. So nice of the front desk to give us early check in at 10am, since our flight arrived in the morning. Room was big and clean. Breakfast spread was nice even with limited choices. Located in front of the beach but not too near with the crowded area, so it just nice for family with young kids. Hire a bike from the hotel, one of the front office staff even offer to fill up the fuel for us since we dont know where is the petrol kiosk.
Stayed for three nights, was upgraded to a pool access room. The rooms are really roomy and the air con works fantastically, beds are comfortable to. The only down side to the room is that the shower is over the bath, which is not good when you are that bit older and the water pressure and temperature is not good. The location is fantastic and the staff a delight. We did not try the food as we ate at the resturants that were on the beach side.
They only have 5 rooms with Twin Beds, and they do oversell. Make sure you confirm with them if you booked one. We arrived and had to express our issues with why we require a Twin Room, which they accepted. You do tend to be better treated if you are local people. Welcome drinks, better rooms, can make noise. Reception, Breakfast & Room staff very helpful and friendly. Pool bar area not kept clean, and the service is very slow, and needs more improvement. Breakfast is apparently 400 Baht if not booked. I personally don't think it is worth 400 Baht, especially with what is available in town. Would stay again.
This place has got a million dollar location bang opposite aonang beach but slightly further from the main hub which makes it a perfect place to enjoy the beach while avoiding the excessive weekend crowd. The letdown though is the way this hotel is constructed with no actual views of the sea but rather all the rooms are facing each other. Hotel provides bikes on hire and other sight seeing services although the price is a bit more compared to the various travel agents just outside the resort. Breakfast is okayish, rooms are dated and the hotel in general is a bit worn out. The only plus side being the location next to the beach.
This hotel is located at the more quiet beach than the Ao Nang next to it. It's perfect if you are looking quiet atmosphere, but still want to get relatively quickly to main shopping/partying area. The taxi to Ao Nang beach costs only 100 baht for two persons and walking there is also good option. Despite its quiet location, there are still enough shops and restaurants next to hotel. The rooms are clean and have nice balconies. Internet in rooms is working good and the hotel pool is quite big. One of the best things is the breakfast buffet with lots of different food choices. The staff is very helpful and nice. The only bad thing is that the nearby beach is not good for swimming, as it is very shallow and the water is very murky. On the other hand, all other beaches here are the same. You need to take a boat ride to nearby islands if you want to have a good swim in the ocean.
We arrived at the hotel which looks very nice from the outside. We were taken to our room and when we arrived we were surprised to see to small twin beds when we had paid for a king size double. When questioning the reception they told us to push the beds together...the beds had big wooden frames around them, which would have left a huge gap between the mattresses. We of course said this was not acceptable and this is not what we had paid for. After debating for 20 minutes, they finally gave up a room with a double bed in it for us. Confused as to why we weren't given this room to start with or why it was a battle trying to get what we had paid for!? The room itself was reasonably clean, although there was a gap in the door which meant lots of space for mosquitos to get in...which they did. The bathroom was quite disgusting. It was completely dated compared to the rest of the room. The tiles were covered in mould and it was not very clean. We had previously stayed in Aonang but at the other end of the town near Aonang beach which was a much better location and much nicer. I would not recommend Aonang buri to anyone if they are staying more than one night, it is not worth it. You can get better rooms in a better location with nicer staff elsewhere!!
The hotel is nice, only need to cross the street and you will be at the beach. The room is comfortable, but the bathroom could be better. Have a nice swimming pool. Around you will find several restaurants and store.
I booked this place online two days before I leave for Krabi. The price was reasonable for three days stay during peak season. I wanted a place where I could just walk not far away to the beach and this resort was ideal for me. Halal food and transportation were also easily accessible. The only thing about this resort is mosquitoes in the room.
the hotel doesnt have beach front but there Aonang beach is opposite of this hotel.. it is situated near the jetty to the Penis Island (must go!) we chose room with direct excess to the pool and it was lovely. the room size is average.. the facility inside the room is OK..the wifi is intermitance but its all right..not big issue..for the price we are paying im not complaining (about USD100) the breakfast selection is average. i do not know whats the local eat for breakfast ..wish hv some local offerings too.. the receptionist is OK.. u can get them to help u with taxi or tour booking etc the spa in the hotel is cheap.. but it is open concept.. about 300batt for 1 hour massage.. cheap compare to malaysia!
