Made to feel very welcome right on the sea front swimming pool beside the beach plenty of options to explore the island reception is so helpfull. Room very comfortable. Restaurants up the road. Also a Severn store.
You cannot find a better place to stay in Koh Lanta than Amantra Resort & Spa. The place is refurbished to immaculate condition and Tom, the concierge, speaks great English and will do whatever it takes to make your stay a fabulous experience. He is far and away the most helpful, friendly, kind, and happy hotel manager I have ever met. He helped with transportation and even drove me on the back of his motorbike from Old Town to return a bike and pick up my luggage from the dump my travel companion had mistakenly booked there. Amantra is paradise. Perfect sand beach and warm, clean blue water. A warm pool not heavily chlorinated and 180 degree multicolored sunsets that will make you think you've died and gone to heaven. Two bottles of drinking water delivered to the room daily. Breakfast included with the room: eggs, toast, juice and coffee, served on the seaside patio. A/C that is not noisy or disruptive to encourage easy sleep even for an insomniac like me. This place is worth every penny and more. I came to Thailand in search of paradise, and at Amantra Resort I found it.
We stay in this hotel about 2 day first because we not sure the weather it's clear or not. Staff very helpful for all information our request, it's like our home warm & charm. We decide to stay here more 2 days. Nice trip in koh lanta..
We have stayed one week at the resort, and we have been like home. The hotel is located in a wonderful place, just in front of the sea. You can have a swim in the swimmingpool while you are looking at the beach. The staff is really kind and nice, they want to make you feel like home. The room is clean and comfy.
the stuft been very helpful to me. my friend leg broken cannot walk. the stuft come n ask what to help. bring ice n medicine for us immediately. it is a recommend place to enjoy your holiday with a reasonable room rates but fantastic customer service experience. GOOD JOB man!
Had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. The door of the room was so distorted we had to jam a towel in it to close it off. Didn't prevent the many mosquito bites I got. Shower temperature oscillated between dangerously hot or ambient. Horrible stains in bathroom. AC didn't work for 3 days. Service in the restaurant was so slow that I thought they had forgotten the order. Absolutely terrible customer service. I have nothing positive to say about my experience at Amantra Resort and do not recommend the place.
We had to stay at this resort because we were diving with Anti Gravity Divers which is the dive centre attached to the resort. The resort rests directly on the beach, so the shore is just a few steps away from the restaurant which doesn't serve very good food. We ate there most of the time because the nearest restaurant is quite a walk away. But the view is amazing though! The food was pricey and wasn't fantastic, so if you could eat out, please do. There also wan't WiFi in the room.
There is nothing you can do in Lanta but only enjoy the beach, sun, and ocean. If you want to enjoy it more, diving is one of the amazing thing to do there, I stay there for 5 days and enjoy boat diving there, the visibility is awesome, lots of fish, and tiny residents to be discovered. If you are luck enough, Manta Ray is one of the most view in Koh Lanta.
Very poor hospitality!!! We had a confirmation with booking for a garden view bungalow. At arrival at the hotel the ladies at the reception rejected our reservation saying they were fully booked out, only a sea view bungalow for 4000bth instead of the 1200bth we had booked. Perhaps there had happened a mistake in the booking system. But instead of helping us and finding a solution, they didn't even bother us as people even though we had to little children in our arms. While we tried to find a solution, after 2 Hours suddenly they found us a room -besides the 4 rooms they were still offering in the internet. They offered as a stinky, moldy room in the back house. No wonder she asked for payment before seeing the room. Totally unacceptable behaviour!Horrendous experience
