Had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. The door of the room was so distorted we had to jam a towel in it to close it off. Didn't prevent the many mosquito bites I got. Shower temperature oscillated between dangerously hot or ambient. Horrible stains in bathroom. AC didn't work for 3 days. Service in the restaurant was so slow that I thought they had forgotten the order. Absolutely terrible customer service. I have nothing positive to say about my experience at Amantra Resort and do not recommend the place.

We had to stay at this resort because we were diving with Anti Gravity Divers which is the dive centre attached to the resort. The resort rests directly on the beach, so the shore is just a few steps away from the restaurant which doesn't serve very good food. We ate there most of the time because the nearest restaurant is quite a walk away. But the view is amazing though! The food was pricey and wasn't fantastic, so if you could eat out, please do. There also wan't WiFi in the room.

There is nothing you can do in Lanta but only enjoy the beach, sun, and ocean. If you want to enjoy it more, diving is one of the amazing thing to do there, I stay there for 5 days and enjoy boat diving there, the visibility is awesome, lots of fish, and tiny residents to be discovered. If you are luck enough, Manta Ray is one of the most view in Koh Lanta.

Very poor hospitality!!! We had a confirmation with booking for a garden view bungalow. At arrival at the hotel the ladies at the reception rejected our reservation saying they were fully booked out, only a sea view bungalow for 4000bth instead of the 1200bth we had booked. Perhaps there had happened a mistake in the booking system. But instead of helping us and finding a solution, they didn't even bother us as people even though we had to little children in our arms. While we tried to find a solution, after 2 Hours suddenly they found us a room -besides the 4 rooms they were still offering in the internet. They offered as a stinky, moldy room in the back house. No wonder she asked for payment before seeing the room. Totally unacceptable behaviour!Horrendous experience

Nice little bungalows with cool restaurants and bars within walking distance. Pool overlooks the sea and they have a little beach bar. Never ate here as there are plenty of options nearby. Would recommend staying here if you visit the area.

Rooms were budget basic and clean enough but didn't keep out the mosquitos. The sea view villas looked nicer but the "garden view" rooms were in a block at the back of the resort with little view of anything but construction. Poor value for money. We stayed at Amantra (despite having read others' poor reviews) because we were diving with AntiGravity Dive shop that was on site and it seemed easier. We won't again now that we know the layout of the island and the relative quality of other resorts. The beach it was situated on was lovely with many nice restaurants on the beach and a relaxed vibe.

The hotel is towards the end of Klong Nin beach in a peaceful location, but not too far to walk to other local restaurants and bars. Rooms are fine, comfortable and cleaned every day. Staff are helpful and the restaurant is reasonably priced with a decent range of nice options. We had no complaints at all. We booked last minute. The booking had not come through to them when we arrived but they were great about it, found a room for us and upgraded us to a lovely beach front bungalow.

Unless you're staying in one of the villas you will be taken to a cell block round the back of the property and shown to your room there. The room was really shabby and nothing special. It was clean but I would've expected to pay half the price. The staff were exceptionally rude. Particularly at reception. The whole resort seemed to be run by teenagers. On the second day of our stay I was walking back along a path and came across two of the staff sitting, hiding and smoking. It was so unprofessional and intimidating as a lone women. You'll be lucky to get a lounger by the pool and if you do looks like you will roast as there is only one umbrella. Don't do it to yourself!!

We spent nice 10 days in Amantra in the end of January. We had a Beach Front Villa, I did not see any other room, so I can review just this kind of accommodation. Room was very spacious, cleaned every day (cleaning ladies were lovely), nothing to complain about their cleaning. Ok, furniture had better time few years ago, but we did not care.. I did not come to spend my time with the was usable. Quite noisy air-conditioner. Pool was great, beach location is nice. Beach is a little bit rocky in this part, but stones are big and water is clear, so you can see them, there is no problem. Food in their restaurant was not bad, but we prefer to travel around the island and you can find better places for dinner. Staff was nice. People at the reception desk spoke English, it was nice to talk to them. Only problem with English was at the restaurant. Only one boy did speak English well. When he was not there, it was sometimes a lottery if they bring what you ordered...:) But they were nice. As was mentioned a lot here - there is no wifi in rooms, only at the restaurant and the reception, it is not that big deal, but it can be a "food for thought" for management to the future. Location of Klong Nin is nice, we explored all beaches around, we prefered the south direction from there then the north beaches. There is a lot of nice places to see, so hire moped and go explore.. One tip about the room - we had villa 101, the last one(north). It seemed like the next-door resort building (that is very close to this room) is a loundry running all night...But not sure about it, just heard neverending hustle. But nothing alarming, we got used to it.. Next time I would choose a room between the one we had and the pool (110 maybe..)

We booked with Agoda 7 days and we came here ... NO ROOMS AVAILABLE!!! They give rooms like under the table deals with tips and they don't update online. Was such a bad experience for me and my husband celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We THANK AGODA FOR THE HELP. Such a good Customerservice ... they didn't let us down. We got other hotel with a better value but the same price and we got some refund. Just don't go to Amantra Resort. First of all... are very expensive for the service and the rooms they have. And the breakfast really poor and horrible customer service.
