The Neptune Resort Convention Centre & Spa sits almost anonymously in the verdant countryside 11kms (14 mins) from Kos Hippocrates International Airport or 17kms from Kos Town. It's a sprawling, labyrinthine complex of gardens, suites and tasteful rooms ideally suited for burned-out employees seeking space, comfort and above all, relaxation. My wife and I had the privilege to make an overnight stay and were very impressed with the level of facilities on offer and the perceptible efforts by the staff to provide unparalleled customer concierge. First up the room. We took a seafront double room (see photo) with a view over to the island of Kalymnos just 2 minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Clean, spacious and modern with a very sizeable twin basin bathroom a small sitting area and private balcony with table and chairs for that sunset glass of wine. The fused twin beds were divine - soft and welcoming to the point that we didn't want to get up for breakfast. When you sleep in heaven your vacation is made ... The resort - or should I say mini village has literally everything on offer from sports to water activities, conferencing, dining, schmoozing, swimming and chilling - to such a degree that you may want to come here and never leave for the whole of your vacation. We liked our room best, then the ginormous and rich dinner and breakfast buffets. Half board is the norm here so you only need to cater for yourself at lunch and there's a mini market to stock up on snacks and drinks - yes, you buy your own drinks and stock your mini fridge with your own purchases and not pay through the nose for traditional mini-bar offerings. In summary, this is the kind of place where you will most certainly relax and recuperate. You will check-in and may well never want to leave when your time is up. A highly-recommended and by all accounts a much-preferred hotel by discerning repeat clients.
This is probably the best resort of Kos for families with children. We stayed at a family room at ground level. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There are several big pools. The wide and long sandy beach of Mastichari was perfect.
Fantastic place. Been there 4 times. Excellent food, friendly staff. 4-5 swimming pools, spacious hotel, not too crowded. Pretty bungalows and rooms. Next to the sea. Mastichari is not a busy coastal town, not like Kardamena where there is a lot of noise, pubs, discos, ...
We visited this summer for the 4th time with a family group of 14 people, including 6 children from 8 to 17. The first impression is of an extensive, very large and luxury complex with a lot of place to roam around. 3 different swimming pools, including an olympic sized one. Our preference went to the sea front one with a very nice open view and extended grass area around it. The slightly cool sea breeze does help you stand the greek summer temperature. Rooms are contemporary and well equipped. We were staying in a family suite that connects two adjacent rooms through a common door. Ideal for the kids who feel they have their "own" place. They are grouped in small buildings of 6, scattered around the compound, in the middle of well maintained gardens and grass. If you want to enjoy a quiet sitting on your balcony in the evening, you should avoid to be too close to the amphitheater where they run the shows every night. You will also note the various metal contemporary sculpture picturing a variety of ancient greek gods. They definitely give a special touch to the atmosphere of the place. Free and reliable wifi available across the whole site. Food buffet choice is plenty, varied and of good quality. We were in half-board and had all our diners in the main restaurant. You might want to prefer the back terrace next to the pool. Very pleasant in the evening but you may have to wait a little bit to be seated. Friendly and professional staff. You can also choose one of the other restaurants. I would retain the Greek tavern for simple but earthy local dishes, always served with a smile. My preference would go the Italian place, the Osteria and I would recommend you with Vincent, the very welcoming manager of the place. You have the choice of two beach bars when lounging in the sun. The first is the Troja bar, conveniently located next to the sea front pool. Unfortunately, the food is really of the sub-par snack type, quickly rushed and utterly bland. You might want to walk a little further along the sea line and enjoy a simple but tasty fresh made souvlaki at the Odysseus bar. We never attended the shows that are clearly aimed at a German-speaking audience. Any one for the Mama Mia! musical completely dubbed in Goethe's tongue? We passed. Overall, a real pleasant location with good service.
Really an oasis of peace and relaxation with excellent buffet food, very friendly staff and many amenities including several spotless swimming pools and many fun activities for kids. In general, everything works extremely well. Although the refugee hotspot is not far away we saw no refugees at all, for what that's worth. Animal welfare on Kos needs to be written much larger, especially the habit of keeping cows tethered without access to water or shade. We visited a local charity, GASAH, who are working on this issue, and expressed our concerns to the hotel manager, Mr Xarikos, who agreed to contact the responsible vet on the island about the cows in the field next to the hotel.
The Greek hospitality at its best. Even though the hotel is far from Kos the variety of a traction in the hotel is excellent. Many pools across three hotel area , many restaurants and vast area. Even when the hotel is full of people we felt like we are almost alone... The room was clean and overall the hotel is very clean. The stuff was very friendly (special thanks to Mikes from the taverna he is great) . We definitely come back again
Lovely hotel, food excellent with large choice of dishes, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean plenty of comfortable sun beds with several pools to choose from. cannot find a single fault with is hotel.
Beautiful resort for aduls and kids . Lots of stuff for kids , great service , beautiful beach . The food is good ( german style ) The resort is the center of the island , about a 15-20 minute drive to kos the city . Over all a great experience.
An amazing resort in the middle of silence. We woke up with birds singing. An amazing pomegranate tree just near of our room. There are sculptures of ancient greek gods and goddesses all around the hotel. very nice beach, very nice rooms, very friendly staff and an awesome breakfast. ı hope we can have change to stay again.
Amazing resort. Tried it once and will not go anywhere else now. This was our third time. So many pools you are guaranteed to find beds at the pool of your choice. Lots of sunbeds at beach too. Staff bend over backwards to please. Very clean. Also not far from airport which makes for less travel time.
