Neptune Hotels Resort, Convention Centre & Spa5.0 out of 5.0

We actually spend our fifth holiday at the Neptune Hotels Resort and Spa. The policy is sustainable so we find usually the same staff each year. It is a kind of coming home and feeling well. The appartements and rooms are spread widely and embadded in a great and well arranged garden. The animation team is acting reluctant, the bars and restaurants are in top conditions, the offered food and drinks good. The wine card is more or less local Greek. In the evenings it is quite silent from 10:30 pm. If you want to have party you have to go outside. I am confident that we will come back again.
It was the most awesome relax-vacation I've ever had. Starting from the reception, room, restaurants, facilities, theater, 5 pools, mini market, stores, spa, bars and ending with the people. The hotel is amazing, you get all you need there, we didn't have to go out from the hotel for a second. The view is so beautiful and relaxing, I have just good words to say about this hotel. Very highly recommended!!!!! Don't miss!! Thank you also for the surprise birthday cake, it was really touching ✨we'll be back again for sure.
You can spend time as family or you can enjoy as well time as a couple. Food is good and the surf / sailing school is well equiped. We spend a great time the 2nd time. My kidz like the entertainment very much. The rooms are ok and the housekeeping does a great job. We love to be here.
We have stayed at Neptune for 6 days and had an excellent experience. We have ordered one family room and our arrival we had notified that we had been upgraded to two separated adjacent rooms. The rooms were perfect with a great view to the beautiful pool. The resort is built of many small nice two story buildings with magnificent gardening and sculptures. The meals were excellent - the best we had experienced in Greece until now, and we had visited many hotels in Greece. The entertainment at night were also in good quality. The only thing is that Other restaurants than the main one, are in 50% discount instead of free of charge as we had on other hotel however they have great food there in very high quality and delicious. We had great time at the resort. The service was excellent. Most recommended!
Unlike some resorts of this quality and price, which become rather generic and distant, Neptune has an exceptionally attentive staff, excellent and modestly priced restaurants, and a pleasant and uncrowded feel although it is huge. Lots of free activities in the evening. We went to a tasting of local wines, a performance (in German) of the Lion King, a latin dance evening, a ballroom dance show, and a Greek music and dance evening. We don’t usually go in for these kinds of things at hotels, but all was very relaxed and fun. The resort caters mostly to Germans--or at least German seemed to be the predominate language being spoken--but they managed to keep their bathing suits on. They seem to have a mania for appropriating all the beach chairs, however, and we gave up after a while trying to get one. The hotel room was gorgeous and everything all top flight, though I learned they are going to be redoing them into the more minimalist kind of style that seems be ascendant in top hotels. Seems like a waste to me, since I thought our room was not only exceptionally well furnished but also very stylish. I guess this shows that the hotel is plowing in its profits back into services for the guests. Excellent beaches, huge uncrowded pools, all kinds of services and activities. We had a small glitch with our wifi and two technicians came to the room within 5 minutes and fixed it immediately. I have stayed at other top resorts in Greece--Costa Navarino, the Domes in Elounda, etc. This one has the most authentic Greek feel and the one that was the most pleasant. There was a 6.7 earthquake on Cos while we were there. Our suite shook a lot, but there was no damage and not even a crack anywhere. The whole resort was in perfect shape and everything was functioning in the morning as if nothing had happened. Pretty amazing.
We visited this hotel in July before the main UK schools had broken up. As said in previous posts, the guest were predominantly German with a mix of families and couples. What struck us most was the capacity - the pool attendant told us that this hotel sleeps 800 people but with the multiple pools, long beach and lay out of the rooms, it is only at breakfast and dinner that you really feel it. Unfortunately, this was also the poorest part of our experience. The canteen style buffet for that number of people really did feel we were at school and the food was at best - average. Oh and my husband was told off for wearing shorts to dinner which considering it was over 30 degrees and it was certainly not fine dining - I thought was a bit much. We had come on a half board basis and there is an option to eat at other restaurants in the complex with 50% off the food price in lieu of half board. This is a much better experience but the quality of service and food was definitely not 5 star. The one half decent place was the hotel's Taverna which served lovely Greek food and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. Our accommodation was good - 2 bedroom executive suite which was able to fit our 3 children in. The rooms were functional and clean with a nice big balcony. It was advertised as having a kitchen but in reality there were few kitchen equipment for example no plates, sharp knives or chopping board. Kids club looked good and our son greatly enjoyed the football academy. So all in all, we had a nice time but it is not a 5 star experience and certainly not as good as other 5 star hotels we have visited on other Greek islands.
Mainly German visitors but we wanted to rest and relax not chat 24/7. This meant we could sit round the pool and chill and also join in the activities, when we wanted too but we did not have to sit and engage in conversation all the time. There are 5 pools at this resort, from a 50 metre olympic pool to a pool directly above the beach. There is something for everyone here and the food was superb too. A very long 3 and a half hour window for both breakfast and dinner and you were never rushed to leave. They were putting fresh food out, right upto the end of service and if you like champagne with your breakfast, then you will not be disappointed at this resort. It is definitely the place to go to unwind and on the Thursday night, they have a Greek night. The dancing is not to be missed - fabulous! I can not fault this resort, apart from the onsite shop and shops in the surrounding area are expensive but I expected this. Will definitely be going back, at some point soon to recharge my batteries again:)))
The hotel is amazingly beautiful, large and spacious, manicured lawns and everything is pleasant. Beautiful art sculptures are scattered along paths, beautiful pools and a private beach. Although the hotel is quite big and was full it was not noticeable, there are several pools scattered throughout the hotel and several restaurants, bars and ice cream shop, mini club, game room, toddler playhouse, kids pools, so that everyone can find their place - adults, children, toddlers and babies. You can see the staff are very invested in cleaning and the hotel is very clean (in public areas and in the rooms). When we made the reservation, we debated the types of rooms and decided to choose the newest rooms. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and decided to choose 2 rooms suitable for 3 people. Although the two children are ours, the planning was for one of them to sleep with the grandparents in the next room. On our arrival we made a quick check-in and got the rooms early, the rooms were very nice, new and clean, but in two separate buildings. At that moment we realized that we had a problem because none of the children would agree to sleep in a remote room. You should also take into account that this room is double, with the third bed open and the room becomes very crowded almost without passage. We encountered a problem and went to the hotel staff to find a solution, of course at a reasonable cost. They were courteous but the only solution was to upgrade the room for a further EUR 500 (for 3 nights). True, this maybe the original room price, but due to the fact that the problem was created by mistake and there is a vacant room in the hotel (which will not be used) we expected them to be more flexible with price and maybe give us a small discount. They refused to be flexible. They knew we had no other choice, so we paid it and moved into a bigger apartment which was excellent but less modern. I didn't like the fact we payed as requested for a 4 person apartment, and still were also charged for a room for 3 on the other room. We were 6 but payed for 7, and this is not reasonable, and I expect a 5 star hotel to be more flexible and understanding. Besides that, our overall experience was great and we will definitely think to come back again. Just pay attention to booking the room that suits you in advance, because in this hotel a mistake can cost you a lot.
Best holiday hotel we have ever visited, very friendly staff, excellent food, nice beach. Very big area, good sports facilities. If you are looking for a quiet break this is the place. Quiet and absolutely reccomendable if you are looking for a relaxing hotel
We are only planning to arrive in the hotel this weekend, so I had a few questions prior to our trip, which I emailed to the hotel stating the details of our booking. To my surprise I actually received a phone call next morning from the hotel. Instead of answering my questions, the lady on the line was only worried about the number of children on my reservation as she got confused, telling me I will be additionally charged for my second infant upon arrival, etc. When I tried to find out answers to my initial questions from the email, she quickly said she will reply to my email shortly. It's been more than 24 hours since my original email to the hotel and more than 12 hours since the call and still no email to answer my queries. Big disappointment before the vacation even started. Clearly the hotel is more interested in "charging me extra" rather than simply answer my questions about airport transfer and kids purees...
