Hotel is in an odd location up a hill. It's relatively far from everything but Fisherman's village. The staff knows this though and are willing to shuttle around for a decent charge and even pick up with no charge to/from airport. Hot and cold water is spotty and rapidly changes. Staff and breakfast ...

Overall, the hotel definitely was a 5 star hotel. The service we received was incredible. Nice rooms and would be a great stay with a group. I stayed here alone and the crowd is a bit older (I'm 22M), but still very lively. There's a nightly beach/pool party, but it's really for groups as opposed to meeting new people. Granted, I did stay here two nights, but only had one full day where ...

Big Buddha Beach
Big Buddha beach, also called Bang Rak, is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui. The name of the area is derived from a giant, golden Buddha statue that can be found on the eastern side of the beach. Big Buddha beach has become extremely popular with expats over the years, and they’ve built up a community that has many different types of accommodation. You could find yourself staying in accommodations ranging from high-end, luxury villas to tiny, cozy bungalows. For fun, you could visit one of the many sports bars that line the main road: they’re famous gathering spots for expats looking to enjoy a beer with friends as they watch major sporting events on big screen televisions.
Big Buddha beach is home to restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world. If you’re looking for an authentic and affordable Thai food experience, check out My Friend restaurant.
