Boasting off road parking and an enclosed rear garden it makes a superb base for couples and families wanting to experience all that Cheshire and its neighbouring counties have to offer.

You’ll find a good food serving pub just 1½ miles from the property and Allostock is also home to Shakerley Mere where you can enjoy leisurely strolls along the banks of the lake. Knutsford is a 10-minute drive and as one of Cheshire’s most popular towns has a great selection of shops, bars and eateries as do the surrounding villages of Hale, Mobberley and Alderley Edge.

There’s a plethora of local scenic country walks including the ancient woodland of Marbury Country Park (20 mins), Delemere Forest (30mins) and the rolling hills, open moorland and hiking trails of the Peak District National Park (40mins). There are lots of country houses and gardens in the area including the halls of Capesthorne (20 mins), Gasworth (25 mins) and Arley (25 mins) plus the National Trust’s Tatton Park (20 mins). Each host a variety of events and concerts throughout the year.

It also makes a great touring base with Chester, Manchester and Liverpool easily accessible in around an hour and Shropshire plus the coastal resorts of North Wales in around 90 minutes. There’s motor racing at Oulton Park (30 mins) and families with children will enjoy a visit to Chester Zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium, Alton Towers and Gulliver’s World Theme Park all 40 mins to an hour. You can really do as much or as little as you like.
