Super 8 Knoxville/East

Stopped on drive from Texas to Maryland. Good location right off interstate. East side of Knoxville put us on right side of traffic for rush hour departure. The room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms are old but in good condition. It's a middle of the road quality hotel, we had to do some bug extermination (spiders not bed bugs) but overall it was a spacious comfortable room, the staff was great and I'd recommend and will probably stay again. Very pet friendly as well and it was quiet, even with there being a TN game that night.

No hassles , no perks , no big deal. Better deals out there for the price.

The refrigerator made as noise along with the air conditioner. The telephone didn't work nor did the lamp between the two beds. There was no conditioner and it smelled a little of stale cigarettes.

Just needed a place to sleep. The room was clean but somewhat dumpy. The shower had a half rotted handicap seat that leaked brown water. The A/C unit woke you up every time it came on but the worst thing was the bed. It felt like a board with a blanket over it.

Room was supposed to be non-smoking.We walked in to a strong smoke smell. They did give us a different room. We had 4 adults staying but did not receive enough towels and wash cloths every day. It was fairly clean. Not sure that I would stay there again.

Carpet had holes and multiple stains, could feel the bed springs. The night stand dirty from night before. It was late when we arrived otherwise we would not have stayed. Disgusting.

Location was good, needs were met. nice and warm night staff. Pleasant and short stay

The location and staff of the hotel are excellent. The hotel itself is in deplorable condition. The room was disgusting. There were live and dead bugs in the light fixture in the bathroom. The carpets and furniture were all stained. Needless to say I did not walk around without shoes on during my stay. Thankfully, the occupants above us behaved because we could literally hear every move they made. At one point, we wondered if they were going to fall through the ceiling. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again because of the filth. The hotel should really invest in the property because they have an excellent location and a caring staff.

Great first impressions-- spacious room and bathroom, clean appearance, very courteous and helpful staff, however the first room I received had a bad musty smell from the AC unit. it was bad enough to prompt me to ask for another room. I switched rooms and was very comfortable until about 3 AM and then 7 AM when the guest upstairs walked around extensively-- squeaking the floorboards (my ceiling) enough to wake me twice. This is surprising because I normally am not a light sleeper.

Easy check-in and desk clerk was able to accomodate our request for first floor room at front of property. It was a very quiet, peaceful location; we felt afe there. Pool was a pleasant surprise. Everything upholstered in our room was very funky. Blanket had a huge rip in it and looked dirty. I removed it to the furthest corner of the room immediately. The bathroom was 5 stars! Huge for a low-end motel and very clean.

We have stayed in 3 different Super 8 in a month's time and the room are not as clean as they use to be. Staff does minimum they have too. Breakfast was average for continental. pillows are flat and almost nonexistent.

had a few things wrong on arrival but taken care of quickly

One of the most difficult motels to locate, even with satellite navigation. Finding this place after dark would be frustrating to say the least. Room had a distinct odor, not just from smoking but just not a clean smell. Front desk was surly and not friendly at all. Still, the price was o.k., all we wanted was a place to sleep for one night and we got exactly what we paid for.

The refrigerator did not work which I was counting on to keep my picnic foods cold overnight. I had to throw away all my foods to be chilled and spend extra for meals on our Labor Day holiday vacation. But the beds were comfy!

location great, very quiet, nice front desk, bed comfortable, felt safe

This is definitely worth the money. It was clean and good for a night stay during our treck from VT to TX. Plenty of restaurants around. The door in the room was a bit drafty, but other than that it was a great pleasant stay. The front desk was very helpful and nice, although the lobby was locked at 8:45PM when we arrived. We had to do the transaction through a teller window. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing about this hotel is it has an extreme hill in front, you can see the digs in the pavement from people trying to get up it w/ trailers.

Clean, warm, but the tv had the closed caption locked on and was annoying.

Was in town to go to a football game. Got to the room very late or very early in the morning, however you want to look at it. Had very helpful staff while checking in on what time I should leave for the game and where I should go in the town. Overall, the room wasn't the cleanest in the world, but it wasn't dirty and it was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Good meeting place halfway between Cincinnati and Columbia, S.C.
