Stayed from 3/9 to 3/14. The Orange Lake HIVC Resort was a blast. Stayed in West Village in 2 bedroom condo. Condo was clean and had plenty of room for 7. Location of condo was near pool and courts. West Village, North Village and River Island pools all had unique offerings and were extremely fun for the kids. Getting around property via our rental car was easy. Overall, this was a wonderful vacation and would recommend to others.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort. While the resort is large and well-maintained, I found the furniture to be somewhat outdated. My initial one-room reservation in the main building left much to be desired. The hallway leading to the room was poorly lit, with chipped paint and dated, dirty carpet. Despite being promised a beautiful lake view, the outside of the window was so dirty that visibility was a challenge. A thorough power wash or window cleaning would greatly improve the overall appearance. The room's layout was awkward, with the outdated bedroom right at the entrance, followed by a bathroom and, finally, a living room with a small kitchenette. This arrangement felt reminiscent of a motel room from the 80s. I'm relieved I inspected the room alone as I was hesitant to show it to my wife, who I had taken there for a birthday getaway. Swiftly, I returned to the front desk and requested an upgrade to a two-bedroom unit. The second room, located in a different high-rise building, was an improvement in terms of appearance but still retained an outdated feel. Despite this, I must highlight that the resort's grounds are beautifully maintained, the staff is friendly, and its location is convenient. With some much-needed updates to the rooms, this resort could truly shine.

I didn't like that this was advertised aa a resort and i paid resort fees to get their and find out its a time share. It took me almost an hour to check in because people were trying to pressure me in to going on a tour for timeshare. Also I was given a sheet of instructions that advised I would need to take out my garbage and strip my bed because it was a timeshare at the end of my stay. Also that i needed to wash and dry my own towels because i couldn't be given anymore than what was left in my room. I'm sorryI thought I was paying Resort fees. I've never taken my own trash changed my own bed or wash my own towels and it Resort ever.

It's a BIG resort, however very outdated and COLD - they keep the buildings at 60 degrees - regardless of how hot/cold it is outside. It's literally freezing inside. It's very outdated and needs a remodel.

An excellent place to stay there are a ton of pools on location. Plenty of places to dine and shop near by. Outside of Disney if you want to do the parks. The resort is a great place to just hang around as well, villas are nice you can cook meals if you prefer.

Check in stated it was from 4-11pm on confirmation. We arrived around 5:15 pm and were told there was an issue with our room since “we were late and it hadn’t been cleaned yet.” They put us in a new room and gave us our key. After 3 attempts driving back and forth to reception since the key wasn’t working—an hour later we finally got the correct key card and into our room. The bed in one of the rooms was broken. You couldn’t lay on it without falling into the center like a pit of despair—then we found blood on the sheets, fun surprise. So we moved to the spare bed and couch to sleep on. The internet was non existent unless you joined their public wifi which isn’t protected. We wake up the next morning to head to the pool and the building next to ours has sheriffs, staff, and medical examiners everywhere. So sadly I think the neighbor died. On our last day we woke up to two cockroaches in the living room and kitchen. Needless to say we didn’t stay our last night and checked out early. The pools and amenities (minus internet) were great, but it’s hard to feel comfy with blood stains and roaches. I grew up going to this place yearly with my extended family, so I was very excited to bring my own to experience it. Needless to say it wasn’t what it used to be and I’m pretty disheartened by the experience.

Resort fees were higher than was I was told. Bar and restaurant was under staffed waiting in line for 20 min to order is crazy.

We traveled with kids and the stay was great.

Overall the property and area was great

Location was perfect and staff was friendly.

I love all the options within the resort. My boys and I stayed mostly in the resort hoping from pool option to pool option each day. Down side is the lacking utensils at the room. I got a room with a kitchen so I could specifically make dinner for my children and cut down on cost. There was barely enough there to make much of anything. There were plenty of plates and silverware, just no cookware and cooking utensils. Really frustrating.

I haven't travelled for a while so this may be the new norm but we stayed 5 days NO Housekeeping, NO clean towels!! Prepared to be harassed by time share offers. They called and woke us up 3 days , threatened to charge my credit card $30 and told me they would give me a free pass (value $69) to the lazy river if I attended their meeting - the lazy river is free!!!
