Villa Tramonto is located 2 Km from Falasarna bay. It is a 75sqm villa house with two floors and provides you with all necessary facilities you will need for relaxed holidays and of course large balcony to enjoy the panoramic view of sunset!

The ground floor there is a living room with sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen (e.g. fridge, oven, dishes and pots, coffee machine) and a toilet. From the living room you can step out to your private terrace with sea view where you can sit cosily and enjoy truly spectacular sunsets.

On the first floor you find two bedrooms, one bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds with its own balcony where you can relax and enjoy the amazing sea view as well, and a bathroom (shower, toilet, hairdryer).

Furthermore, the houses offer air-condition, a fireplace, wireless Internet access as well as satellite television (flat-screen TV). The outdoor space provides a shower close to the terrace and has its own parking place beside the entrance door and a barbecue. Villa can host up to six persons (1 double bed, 2 signle beds and 1 sofa).

Falasarna is located in the western part of Crete, about 17 km from Kissamos and 60 km from Chania in the neck of the Gramvoussa peninsula. Continuing the road from Chania to Kastelli you will arrive in the village of Platanos. There you turn right to Falasarna (sign to Falasarna). From the top of the hill you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view.

Falasarna is probably one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete, with crystal clear water. Falasarna bay has been awarded as the best beach of Crete and one of the best beaches of Europe in the past. The sand is white which makes the water color tropical. The bay is divided by sand dunes and few rocks in several beaches. One of the most beautiful stretched sandy beaches in Crete, "Pahia Amos" (thick sand), is located in the south. There are some taverns, beach bars and mini markets close to the beach. In 4 km distance you reach the next village called Platanos where you can find a cashpoint and pharmacy. Kissamos is the nearest town with a lot of shops and big supermarkets.

In the northern part of the bay you find the remains of the ancient city of Falasarna. Falasarna was built during the historical period. The name is pre-Hellenic and is derived from the nymph "Falasarni". It was the ancient coastal naval town harbor of Polyrinia and the city had it's own currency coin. On the one side depicted the head of a woman with earrings and on the other the letters FA, between a trident. There are still supporting walls, parts of walls of the Acropolis, many foundations of houses, ancient graves and a stone throne, which probably was consecrated to the God of sea (Poseidon). It has been discovered lately and its ancient harbor is still being excavated. The port was closed and surrounded by walls and it was connected to the sea with a canal.

To discover the area which is quite amazing, I recommend a car as the nearest bus station is 0.5 km from the house and the bus frequency is depending on the season.

Sheets and towels are provided and a baby cot is available on request.
