I stayed at this location with my wife and step-daughters for 2 nights in June. The bed was comfortable, the room was ok as far as cleanliness. The tile floors could use a little attention. The AC worked well and the wifi was ok. Overall it was an ok stay for the price.
I stayed there between May 11-13, because my brother was graduating from Baylor and Waco was packed. It was a good place to sleep in. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good for what they had, and even past the breakfast time the attendant left it open if there were still people eating. I have been to places where attendants rudely kick people out and this was a nice gesture. Highway was undergoing some construction so it was a bit confusing to get there from the north side but that is obviously not the property's fault. Very nice place.
I stayed one night and paid $63.20 in room-108..Next to laundryroom and ice machine. This is a 2 story complex.I didn't hear anyone upstairs..My room was big with Kingbed with lots of pillows..Carpet was in good shape..The room had a microwave and refrigerator that didn't freeze anything.Flat screen TV..WI-FI available..Parking outside your door..Only a few semi truck parking spaces near the highway.Location good but alot of road construction in front of hotel..Fast food close by..The breakfast is not big enough it needs more items..This place is run by Indians..I would advise checking your room first before paying any money..There are alot of other hotels near by to pick from.
We stay at this motel frequently when in Temple. Clean rooms, right off I-35. Inexpensive. Family owned and ran. Friendly staff. Wi-fi isn't very fast but will work to get business done. Not far for fast food or nice restaurants. Temple is a major city for medical treatment. This hotel is not within walking distance but works well to get to any of the major hospitals and clinics.
Our family of 3 adults stayed here twice in the past month because the price suited our pocketbook. The beds were very comfy, the room was tidy, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, pastries, orange juice, and bananas.
The Hotel is comfortable. Air-conditioner not too noisy. Mostly well-maintained. However some cleanliness details in the room could've been addressed such as stains on the walls and dirt on the refrigerator. The full-size refrigerator was a plus. Included are: continental breakfast, mostly carbs., (cereal waffles juice muffins and bananas and apples), TV, King size bed, couch, desk and chair, clock, free local calls, coffee pot and plenty of soft towels. The suite room is slightly more expensive than the regular rate. However we believe it's well worth the extra.
When i checked in, there is a funny smell in the room. Then i went to my bed and saw a cockroach on my pillow. There are also cockroach droppings on the bedsheet. There is also another cockroach on the floor near the vanity area. The bath tub has a hollow which used temporary repair. Think twice b4 booking it here. Worst hotel ever stayed in US.
Stayed here at the last minute. We hit flash flooding at 1:30 a.m. and needed to stop. Thankful they gave us last room between Waco and Austin. . Older room. Decor is dated. Sheets were clean. Older tv but room had full fridge. Arrived at breakfast 10 minutes before close. Breakfast host was irritated and announced to all that breakfast was ending. Wasn't willing to refill orange juice after it was gone. Not the best service but better than nothing.
I was really glad to find a room at the location for such a fair price so late into the evening on my way back to DFW last night. The clerk smiled and greeted me even though I was tired and grumpy after a long day of sunning and swimming on Lake Travis. The room was a nice find for the price and even had free coffee/continental breakfast. Unlike the ghetto motel 6s on both sides of the highway that were either booked or didn't have a working credit card machine, oh and the customer service sucked. Thanks Econolodge!!! You are on my list next time I need to stay in Temple.
I spent one night here. The place is older, has had only minimal upkeep, is obviously being milked of its last value. The room was okay, but management isn't up to snuff. The lobby was locked in the morning even after the announced breakfast hour. Twenty minutes later, still no coffee. The orange juice was spoiled and sour, but the front desk guy didn't seem to care. Minimal breakfast otherwise. It was cheaper than others, but for an extra $10 I wish I'd gone elsewhere.
