Very Disappointing. Interior had not been updated since the 80’s! All aspects showing a lot of wear and tear. Walls were beat up and grubby looking. Large stains on the carpeting. Bathrooms were dingy. Furnishings and accessories dull. Bedding was awkward. Kitchen not well equipped. Glasses and dishes old, chipped and not enough for four matching place settings for dinner. One wine glass. Really took away from the pleasure of staying in an apartment. Appliances were all uncomfortably loud. Dishwasher did not function well and had to be run when we were not in the apartment. Saw another apartment in the complex that had all the same problems. Communal pool was tiny with no view. Overall this fell well short of how it was sold online via pictures and written descriptions. Not the pleasant experience we were looking forward to. If I was fine with staying in an outdated place with bare necessities I would have made a different choice and paid a different price. I understand that prices are double on Maui during this season but I would not recommend staying at the Wailea Grand Champions even at half the price. I will say that the apartments are spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Could be potential there if the rooms get seriously updated and stocked with basic supplies that make a holiday stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would not stay here again nor recommend it as a nice place or good value for your money. Sad but true.
