bad bad air condition system. both units are on 2 hour timers and have to be reset every 2 hours during the night or it gets very uncomfortable. need to change the system. would not recommend this unit because of that, but on the other hand the condo itself was very clean and in good condition. nice stay except for the air conditioning.

The condominium is a little dated, the furniture is average, otherwise it’s okay. The condo is close to the beach and if you want to drive there is ample parking during the week, the weekend parking is crowded so get to beach early

I stayed in building 1 which is closest to Kihei Road, but also closest to the ocean. The noise from the road did not bother me as it might others. Whatever noise there might have been, it was worth it for the view from the 3rd floor. Thankfully there is an elevator to make hauling in/out luggage, groceries, beach stuff easier. The grounds are kept clean. The units are individually owned. I was happy with the one I rented from MauiRentals. The complex has easy access to Charlie Young beach that is a short walk across the street.. There is onsite self parking. Onsite Security. No front desk. Pool. Tennis Court. An ABC Store nearby as well as restaurants and snorkel rental equipment. I would stay here again. It’s a good value for the price, at least the unit I rented was.

The location of Maui Vista can’t be beat, it’s so close to lots of restaurants the beach and the grocery store. The unit is older but worked great for our family if 5 - boys 12, 7, baby. The loft was amazing with the extra bathroom for my older boys. The bed in our room could be replaced but we slept fine. The price for the space can’t be beat - there are some units that are completely overhauled that are more expensive, you get what you pay for. The pools aren’t fantastic but work for a quick dip - if you want to swim go to the beach across the street. The tennis courts are in awesome shape. BBQ areas were fun in the evening to hang out with other guests. I will definitely be back to rent here again - we had friends in other areas that were jealous of where our condo was.

Only unfortunate item is it's proximity to nearby cell transmitters on Coast Hotel that emits heavy microwave radiation to these units. If you are sensitive in any way you will not be comfortable staying here.

Resort has improved a lot since my previous visit when a new roof was happening years ago. Agree with other reviewers that receptionist was rude and not at all helpful regarding incoming mail addressed to me at condo that i was renting for 5 months! 3 pools were too small for a 5ft 9in woman to swim in. Children took over pools most of the time, their parents encouraging them :( Gardens and landscaping growing well and cared for. Very close to charley young beach, lovely; but lifeguards very far away when waves became powerful. Maui Bus service very useful for seniors @ 25$ per month bus pass, stops are beside maui vista. Bldg #1 too close to noisy road traffic; bldg 2 and 3 very quiet and peaceful back away from busy sth kihei road. Had a good time overall, all guests and owners so friendly.

We recently stayed here for almost a month and this was an absolutely excellent unit to rent. It was very nicely renovated recently, so almost everything is either new or next to new, including the washer and dryer and the kitchen appliances. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi is strong and fast. The photos are very accurate, the unit was very clean (the owners were there working very hard to get it ready when we arrived early to drop our perishables off in the fridge) and it is equipped with top of the line accessories, towels, bedding and kitchen equipment, as well as all the beach toys you could possibly need. We have stayed before in the Maui Vista, but in a different unit on the second floor and we were a bit trepidatious about staying on the ground floor, but it actually turned out very well with the additional space on the lanai. There is A/C and a number of fans, but we never needed anything except opening the windows to let the breezes blow through. The owners were very receptive and quick to respond to any of our minor concerns. The complex itself is in one of the best locations in Kihei, just steps away (well, maybe 500 steps) from Charlie Young Beach, which is the north end of Kamole One Beach. Walk to the beach in the morning, walk back for lunch and then back to the beach - paradise for sure! The pools are clean and well maintained, with lots of loungers and chairs, and are seldom crowded. The grounds are gorgeous and well looked after - very attractive. I would heartily recommend staying here or in the unit next door, which belongs to the same owners.

I wish I could give separate ratings for different categories. This is a great choice for middle class families!! The grounds were clean and patrolled regularly and the front office staff was pleasant. The condo we stayed in through Airbnb was managed superbly and cleanliness priority and we weren’t disappointed. While this is not a high end complex, its neither a dumpy one. And the highlight is that it was directly across the street from the safest beach for children. Trust me when I say, we definitely searched the island for awesome beaches just to realize that none beat Kimole 1,2&3!!! Charlie young was the best! We drove because of all of our gear but it is easy to walk if you don’t go crazy with the beach gear. We actually did walk a few times. There are great shops and eateries within walking distance and the shave ice nearby is awesome. We stayed here two years ago and are coming back this spring to spend half our trip at Maui vista and half at a luxury resort (only for the awesome pools and I plan to relax the last five days) but because of all the money we’ll be saving the first half of our trip, we’ll really be able to live it up the last half... or maybe just pocket the savings for our next Hawaiian retreat. The ONLY reason I give this property a 3 just because it is NOT luxurious. I for one can’t be in high end properties too long because I’m allergic to snobs... But I saved soooooo much money staying here and was so happy with the proximity to the great beach and near so many great things in Kihei. Total of three complexes to this property; each with its own tennis courts and pool (POOL WAS ALWAYS EMPTY) Concierge service daily in order to book activities I would highly recommend this property for a family with children. Super low key, a ton of savings, right across from a great beach, professionally managed, safe area, CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

Positive: Cant beat the location, across from Charley Young beach. Great air conditioning unit in our condo Teenagers enjoyed the upstairs area. Negative These condos are OLD. Some in better condition than others.Should not be called a resort. No hot tub Power lines visible on this stretch of beach Had an incident of flying ants one night, despite vigilance of food storage. Condos are small, ours had too much furniture and decor. What looked cute in photos was overwhelming in person.

We stayed here in building 1 corner unit on the second floor! Our Unit was full of giant red ants! We phoned Maui Condo the next morning and they had an exterminator come that afternoon, didn’t quite do the job so I found some ant spray under the sink and sprayed around the lanai door and I never saw another one inside. Our unit was very lived in and very dirty on the ceilings. The bathroom was nice, the bed was small and comfy but it was so very noisy from the road it was hard to sleep! The bbq area was nice but the bbq’s didn’t work very well! I think it worked ok for us because the location was perfect you could walk either way to find good restaurants and stores and the beach was AMZING!! So pros were location! Cons were dirty, tired, and bugs and noise. For a family with kids that like to run around there isn’t much for grassy areas! We found a rotten apple under the end table in the living room hence the ants. We didn’t pay much for the trip so I guess you get what you pay for! We had unit 1218 and the one beside us had been redone and it was beautiful so it just depends on the unit! Oh and our friends place was full of cockroaches😮This trip was booked through WestJet Vacations so it’s just a matter of what units you get!!
