We found this property through our neighbors , who's been coming to this resort for at least ten years. Rented through owner directly. Unit #206 was on top floor and had a unobstructed view of Kamaole 2. WE absolutely love the location and the closeness to the beach. It was just crossing the street and we were at the beach. The unit itself is a little dated, but very comfortable. At the price point, we both felt that it was god to great value. We really loved that it was within easy walking distance to several restaurants and most everything. Coffee in the morning was less than 5 minutes away. Restaurants like Cafe O Lei Coconuts Da Kitchen were all a short walk. If feeling like walking further , there's Foodland and all that is close to it. What we really come to love was that we were able to bring food home and enjoy it on our Lanai while people watching and watching the sunset without having to leave. Like they say in Real Estate.... Location , Location, Location I'm sure that at this price point, the value you receive is spot on. Will definitely go back without any hesitations
Although this is an older property. The rooms are good size and they are walking distance to great beaches, shops and restaurants. They have a nice pool and lovely gardens surrounding the condos. They are close to Coconuts fish tacos, Kamaole beach 2, and Da kitchen all really good places to stop by, If you need a healthfood store that's about two blocks north.
Excellent location, super beach just across the street, condo 148 is super clean, modernized and has all the amenities and then some! Easy access to the pool and laundry area, super friendly staff, easy walking distance to shopping, and restaurants!
Would not stay in unit 139 at KKN again!!!! The unit was full of live and dead cockroach carcasses. When we saw the first one, we were hopeful it was a one-off as we are in a tropical environment and have been coming to the KKN for 12 years and have never had an experience like this. Boy were we wrong. After killing about 10 live ones we decided to look around the unit to see where they were coming from. We found at least 15 carcasses in the bedroom alone....all behind and under the bed. As we payed closer attention to the brown shag carpet we noticed there were tons on carcasses strewn throughout. So we vacuumed the entire unit and picked up as many as we could see. Pretty disgusting considering the health hazard the carcasses alone cause. All you need to do is google the health risks on the 'world health organization' website :( We found more behind every piece of furniture and appliance. Finally tracked down their nest to under the bathroom vanity. We had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times and place a towel under the door to prevent these gross critters from entering the rest of the unit. Our booking agent was very attentive as well as the office and provided us with traps and spray. However this was merely a temporary fix. We asked that our feedback be sent to the owner with the suggestion of a super deep clean (especially the carpets), a pesticide spray as there was also an ant issue and maybe some sealant around the vanity and floor where the roaches were coming and going from. We were told by the owner that they would not be providing any form of compensation as we were already given a nightly deal. Not even a cleaning fee reimbursement was offered. Very disappointed and won't be staying in this unit again!
Hello my husband and I are currently staying at kehei Kai Nani and it is breathtaking. We have view of ocean in building 13 room 228. In the morning it is noisy, but if you can get past the noise the room is amazing. Great view of ocean and quick walk to watch sunset and dinner at Fred's it moose's.
This was our second year staying here. The unit is about 30 minutes from the airport and though not in the center of town, a foodstore, several restaurants, and a water activity and tour sales point are within a couple of minutes walking. The unit was #168 in the back on the first floor. This it was quiet. The unit was clean and comfortable and as we checked out new furniture was being delivered. The unit is on the first floor so we had a lanai opening out to green space. Also, the beach is just across the street.
The kondo building#1, unit #203 is very clean, very well equiped for cooking inside if you will, many beach accesories and bood furniture. It is comfortable for two persons and very well located just in frontof a very nice beach. Even if you do not have a car, you will find everything you need pretty easily.
The management stall were great, pool area clean, depending on the location of your condo, early mornings can be noisy. There was a Mexican restaurant (Freds I believe) in a strip mall about 100 feet from our patio and every morning (EARLY) they emptied the garbage containers, delivered propane tanks, etc.. Lots of loud exotic birds( liked that sound). We liked the Kai Nani so much we tried to get into it this year but had to settle on somewhere else.
My wife and I decided to take our 6 month old for 10 days to Kihei, I'm referencing this to help with context. Upon arrival the complex is in a good location. Kamaole two is right across the street, there are multiple restaurants within walking distance, some stores for light shopping, and plenty of places offering activities at a price. The pool is a good size to not get overly crowded when you try to cool off and there is plenty of parking if you have rented a vehicle. Each of the units is owned by their respective owners or parent company, so to say that each unit is the same would be unfair. I also never had an issue with any of the staff that manage the complex either. We stayed in unit 251 and below are some of the good and the bad (we brought up the bad with the rental company hired by the owner already). Needs improvement - The bug situation was terrible. The ant highway that led to the island counter top was horrible. Even after cleaning it, taking all garbage straight to the dumpster (garbage bin under this counter) and spraying for ants they kept coming. The cockroaches were a daily trouble scurrying in and out of the cracks in the kitchen. -The dishwasher barely worked. Rinsing dishes before putting them into the dishwasher changed nothing. I'm not sure if it was from previous misuse, but it became easier to hand wash the dishes instead. The dishwasher is purely ornamental so don't expect to use it. -The bathroom. The tub would take forever to drain and that's with me pulling the hair nest out myself. The glass shower wall I think was originally clear, but has a frosted look now from the soap and grime build up. The toilet would not flush properly, even when dealing with just urine. The ceiling vent had what I can only describe as dryer lint coming out of it. I originally thought that is what it was until I remembered the laundry was in a separate building. -The bedroom wasn't horrible. The bed seemed small for a queen size and there were things stored under the bed. I only know this because I felt something brush against my foot when I made the bed and wasn't sure what I just felt. - Some of the windows in the place were missing the knob to open them and others the gear would slip while trying to open or close which was a little annoying. The A/C unit was pretty loud and was run on a timer box. The good - The location. As already mentioned this place does have a great location close to much of what Kihei has to offer. -The complex does have a small pool which is nice to cool off quickly in (although the pool rules are a little ridiculous). I would not recommend staying at this unit if you are planning on using the kitchen while visiting the area unless it was at a deeply discounted rate. I can honestly say that I have stayed in hostiles in Thailand that I felt were cleaner and more up to date.
So clean, so nice, and perfect for a couple. The food nearby is great, check out 808 Deli, and make sure to stop by John in the tours booth next to the deli for great rates on tours. The office staff were wonderful and the instructions left were very clear and easy to follow/reasonable.
